I’m starting to think that they have thought out a plan to reduce prize money, but I also don’t understand why they need this

Why would you think so? iirc if they released a battlepass, Valve kept 75% of the total purchase and 25% goes to prizepool hence if they actually put in some effort to release a decent battlepass or any other sort of new stuff for the community then they would have gotten significant amount of profit as well. We might never ever reach the ATH TI prizepool anymore but it could be atleast $10-15M

I thought it was in their plan to reduce TI prize pool and distribute it all throughout the year to keep the leagues alive? If that's the case then it still doesn't explain why they have to release a battle pass that is sub-par compared to what they've been releasing in the previous years. The sales of this battle pass is in a slump, and would likely to only be boosted once the discounted levels are live.

Valve's battle pass sales allocation is just too selfish at most. If they plan to distribute the battle pass prize money across all majors that they are sponsoring, it still wouldn't be enough if only 25% of the sales would go to it.

Totally odd that they didnt launch up battle pass for this year but instead they do have that compedium which we know that in every year approaches then people are really that anticipating for battle pass on which it would really be giving out that chance on getting those exclusive sets and whatever inclusive to it and not on what we are currently seeing now.

There is nothing odd with that. We all know that Valve have been pretty greedy and they think that the entire community will keep on funding the TI prizepool even if they put up shit to sale this year. Valve reap what they sow with this compedium and they would have better learn from this mistake otherwise we will have another TI next year with less than $3M prizepool

At this rate, Im not sure if we are even going to pass $3M prizepool mark

Betting on BIG to win tomorrow, not sure if this is actually worth it to bet but there isnt anything until TI
--
Valve probably didn't expect a compendium without items to be so unsuccessful. If we take the growth rate of prize money, it is very similar to TI4. On the other hand, I would like to ask the question: are they really so short-sighted as to make such ambiguous decisions? I’m starting to think that they have thought out a plan to reduce prize money, but I also don’t understand why they need this. In general, we took a big step back. Personally, I miss new items, leveling up, and music that immerses me in this magical atmosphere of TI. It was like I was part of it when I watched the broadcasts, now I won’t have that TI spirit, at least this year.
Totally a boring TI isnt it?

As a Dota player then TI is the most awaited time or moment or event to happen. Im really that eyeing or waiting for those immortal or arcana sets which i could purchase on
which same goes with those weather effects and some icons which it would bring out that different experience and same as yours on which music packs does really matter
but now on that compedium we are really just getting those stickers with ambient effects. The only thing which is interesting is that Aegis plaque that you could get physically
on which hitting up level 300 on compedium.

In regarding on betting, then i dont bet on groupstages but im much more having the thrill on betting when playoffs start. This is where the fun do really begins.

I'm not surprised at all that Mouz beat NaVi. I can say that they are a legendary team and this is an advantage for them since they are all young players. Although NaVi has talented and experienced players, we saw once again that good team play can overcome anything. Mouz rejoining siuhy was an important development for them. Mouz won all 3 maps and won 3-0 and I think they showed us a nice game.
b1t for 3 maps has a K/D of 0.65. This is a very weak result despite the final. I think that he will be the next candidate who will probably be replaced in the near future. S1mple activated only on the 3rd map. I wonder what would have happened if NAVI had won these additional rounds. I hope MOUZ will continue to show the same strong performance.
It is obvious that B1t's performance had a big impact on NaVi's loss. NaVi is a team built on B1t and s1mple and we have seen that when these 2 players play well, matches are won. I don't think b1t will be replaced because he is still the best rifler in the team. iM or jL might be replaced or aleksiB might be replaced by a better IGL.
I would also like to see the rise of mouz to continue. Mouz used to be one of my favorite teams, but with the recent substitutions and the game not settling down, I honestly stopped supporting them.
Changes may occur in the NAVI CS2 lineup. According to an unnamed insider, "iM" is a candidate to leave the team. I was wrong about b1t, but the idea of the reshuffle was correct. But you were closer regarding "iM".

Although it would seem that second place at ESL Pro League Season 18 is an excellent result, the key point here is the score of 0-3. "iM" himself spoke about the difficulties of adapting to a team. According to him, he began to feel much more comfortable in the lineup, but sometimes he can become silent if disputes begin between the players.

NAVI hasn't officially confirmed this, but I am sure that it will happen.

BLAST Premier Fall Showdown tournament starts tomorrow. The favorite teams of the tournament are Ence and G2, but I think we can see some surprise results. I think that maybe C9 will make it to the finals in this tournament. C9 has built a good roster, but I can't say that they can perform well enough. They think that their current roster has more potential but they can't translate it into games.

Eternal Fire has reached a nice ranking after its success in the last tournament. Rising to 13th place in both ESL rank and HLTV rank, Eternal Fire will now be able to receive direct invites to ESL tournaments. Eternal Fire, who received an invitation to the Jönkopings tournament, will now have the chance to compete in big tournaments. If they had eliminated NaVi, maybe they would have had a chance to become champions, but unfortunately, they were a bit inexperienced in the NaVi match.

Who are Puppey and M_C fans here? There's a rumor that they might be seen in TI12 and might play as standins for the Team SMG.

Why? Again, just like the other problems in the past for their TI participation and it's all about the biggest and strongest opponent of most of them, VISA.

News:
MinD ContRoL Can Go To TI12 With Team SMG
Rumors: Puppey to play for SMG at The International 2023

Again these are still all rumors.

Possible if they have the means to cover for Puppey and MC's expenses. Pretty sure they're willing to look at this as an investment to move further ahead in the tournament. Idk why Valve is still not helping players get past the visa issues every year. It's as if they should already expect these to happen but they are simply not doing anything at all.
They will for sure but even with that capacity, the prize pool for this TI is too small compared to the past ones so they should agree on what will be the ending of their run together with the split share for the stand-ins and the actual players they'll replace.

It's so long that these issues have been existing and yes, Valve should always have that contact to the embassy to help these players get their VISAs but it seems like you do you with the whole process.

And apart from that, it seems that we've got lesser time to see a huge prize pool for this TI. It seems that Valve shortened the time for the collection of 25% sales of the new compendium. Based from what I have seen, the current prize pool for this is around $2.5M as for the collection as of typing this but this can still grow and more. We still got around 2 more weeks for the start of the TI.

With the contents of this year's BP, I doubt we'll be able to hit any significant milestones for the prize pool. TI might even regress its position as the most important tournament in Dota 2 if this is what's going to happen yearly.
There's no BP but compendium and it sucks. I will not be surprised if that happens that most players will be looking forward to Riyadh Masters when the prize pool of this TI isn't that much unless Valve actually contribute and add more to the pool.

So expect that the prize pool is really that less
and its true that Riyadh Masters does have that bigger amount of prize pool compared to this upcoming TI which is still playing around $2M+. Totally that too far if we do compare on those
previous international. This would really be the first time in history that a TI prize pool is really  just that too small. Whats up into their minds on why they do end up on such decision or kind of set
up? knowing that this even is highly been that anticipated to have the biggest prize pool comparing into others.

Just watched the finals of 2022 Asian Games. It was China versus Mongolia and both teams were great. The high picks on this grand finals are Tidehunter and Dark Willow. There's the DW carry from Mongolia and then on the last game, it's like that Mongolia is about to win the game.
The top lane was about to destroy by Mongolia and out of nowhere the Tidehunter ravaged without any opposing heroes, that was a big mistake although it didn't do that much next as China was very careful before they take a clash. Then on the mid lane, on the 2nd tower of China(Dire). That's how the game turned and became in favor of them. It was a team wipe out and then on the 3rd tower of Mongolia(Radiant), they all bought back and batrider did the huge mistake of going in without his teammates yet although they bought back too but it was too early for the bat to get in. However, they were able to snatch a kill from China's Phantom Assassin and the same thing happened on China's 2nd attempt to go for tower push, they've killed that PA again. That snapfire + dark willow + PA hitters of China certainly brought a lot of physical damage and helped them to secure gold medal on this Asian games. It's so just fulfilling to see that Ame, somnus and Chalice get to play again.

They didn't just beat NaVi. They completely destroyed them by 3-0. I never expected such result to happen and I even thought that NaVi would be the champions with their new roster. However MOUZ were in great shape and NaVi couldn't stop them either. It was like MOUZ found a solution to deal with top teams strongly.

MOUZ eliminated FaZe, G2 and ENCE all until reaching the grand final. I believe they really deserved to become the champions.

I liked torzsi's performance the most in the grand final. Especially on Overpass and Mirage he took extra responsibility and became top fragger on both maps. He got the MVP prize of the tournament at the same time.  Smiley

S1mple has had a slow start. 2 maps and can't do anything to save his team that are literally trashing the whole series. B1t is just really underwhelming in all those 3 maps combined, and I have a feeling that he will be the next in line to say goodbye to the lineup. Whereas for s1mple, I think he will be continuing the grind and looking for teammates that will suit his playstyle and help him get to championships, not the type that look like bots in the game whom he needs to carry all the time.
S1mple may be a good player but he will never be like zywoo. As much as S1mple has skill, he is also a toxic player. He can't adapt to his teammates. That's why he hasn't been successful in tournaments for a long time.  I'm undecided whether b1t can continue in the team or not, but I don't think b1t is the problem. I think b1t's performance has decreased due to the new players coming in. He is a good player for me and a good duo with s1mple.

Same, I thought ENCE could win over Mouz but nope. Mouz looks scary after beating Faze, G2, and ENCE but I hope Navi can show their prime performance again and get that last CSGO LAN trophy.

Somehow the odds for the final is almost equal. I was expecting that Navi should be favorite but the market says otherwise.

I was late for this then I watched couple of rounds from twitch then I saw Navi was doing pretty good earlier hence I decided not to bet on either of them because the odds jumped to 2.05 for MOUZ and around 1.6 for Navi so I thought its not worth it to jump in the Navi bandwagon but Im not really going to bet on MOUZ either so I skipped them both

Well I could have gotten great odds on MOUZ especially after they ruined two of my previous bets but oh well

So whats next for csgo tournament. There are still over a week for TI to start so Im sticking with csgo for next week

MOUZ ended up winning against ENCE, damn they kept on ruining my bets. I should have only picked Navi -1.5 for today and skip the other match. Im wondering if I should take them instead of Navi to win tomorrow considering that somehow they kept on ruining my bet hence I dont want this shit to happen after I picked Navi  Roll Eyes

Well, it's very likely that you're right with that but I am hoping that it can go up again for the players to have a larger prize pool. As of checking now, it's on $2.6M and there's like two weeks from now on to fulfill that.

If this is going to be the lowest since 2012 then players and teams are going to focus on other larger prize pool tournaments like Riyadh Masters.

We dont even know if there is going to be another Riyadh Masters tournament next year and on top of that, it is always every dota player to win TI so I dont think that we are going to start ignoring TI all along
