The first map of NiP and 00 N seems easy. Currently, as I'm watching it, 11-3 on its score in favor of NiP. But this is just the first map of the game and there could be 2 more or just one more.
It doesn't really look good for 00 N as of typing this but who knows I'll be back at this post that I was wrong with my speculation or if they managed to have a comeback for the 2nd map.

Not sure about Yamich but Armel can compete with the best of the mid laners in WEU. If given ample time for scrims, practice, and lots of tournaments, Armel can achieve success just like Abed did in previous EG. I really think that this pick up by Puppey is the best decision he's made, though I'm quite unsure of Resolution being replaced. He performed okay during their first stint of the year in the first DPC tour, while their previous mid laner needed to be dragged a lot of times on a lot of teamfights in order to be helpful to the team.

Hopefully they achieve some success on this new roster. I have lots of high hopes for Armel to do good in that region.
Was also surprised that Resolution was replaced but I guess it's a mutual decision as Reso goes with the Old G together with Ceb, Noone and Topson. So, I think that Reso did really left Team Secret for his new team.

I thought Puppey is going to recruit Ame somehow. Imagine if any team manage to recruit this guy to play in their team, he is still a top tier pos 1 player though and still has the capability of making it to TI this year
Did he? I thought that Ame was retired for good and that's why even if there will be a rumor about him being taken by Puppey, I don't think that's gonna happen.

But I agree with you that whatever team Ame is on, it's for sure that he'll be able to carry it on.

Both players are a solid addition to Team Secret, Armel might not be in the same level as Nisha but he's still a big upgrade over Boom.

Yamich was great during his time with VP/Outsiders so there's no need to question his skill level. I just hope their performance would be more than enough to push for the promotion back to Div 1.
Armel will improve and will learn more about the playstyle in EU unlike his playstyle with a SEA team. I just wish him all the best with his career in another region.

I support Filipino pride and we know how armel makes good gameplay but sometimes once he got dominated in the lane it takes time before he recovers but I guess the team secret will suitable with this because of the support they can give, if I will make a comparison with Nisha and Armel still I prefer with Nisha because of his game style, and if you are a fan of team secret too they keep supporting the Filipino pride and I guess that's why they choose armel at the same time.
All of us know that Nisha is better and has got better playing style and capability but Armel shall learn a lot from one of the best captains out there which is Puppey.

The OG-NiP encounter was strange. I can say that OG didn't play badly, but NiP didn't play well enough to win, and OG lost due to small mistakes. NiP made a nice comeback on the vertigo map of their choice. They won 16-11 with an 11-1 performance on the CT side and this gave them morale for the next map. On Mirage map, OG's two star players Degster and Neofrag couldn't win the map despite getting 30+ kills. It's really sad for them. The OG team has not been able to settle the roster for a while, and although they have been making constant substitutions lately, it cannot be said that they have reached the roster that will ensure success in tournaments. In fact, when we look at the individual players, they are all talented players, but it just doesn't work. I don't know what it is but they might need to change coach or igl.

Armel and Yamich are the two addition for Team Secret. They've announced it a few hours ago that they'll be the replacement for resolution and zayac.
Puppey has said something about these two players.
Team Secret's tweet: Our captain Puppey shares some perspective on our recent additions to the squad.

I'm also placing my bet on NiP.
NiP won 2-0 against OG, sending them home. Still can't believe that OG is the second team to be eliminated from this group. There's still 1 spot left for playoff from the last chance bracket and I expect NiP to get this. It'll be a close match as they'll likely face Grayhound again but I hope NiP can learn from their mistake.

For tonight's matches, I'm placing my bets on FaZe and Grayhound, also later on NiP for the 4th place decider.

In the first match of the day, we watched the rooster-00nation match. Rooster made a good start by winning the map of his choice with a lot of difference. 00Nation won the map of his choice by force. In the last map, 00nation won by playing well. It cannot be said that both teams played well.
In the second match of the day, pain defeated grayhound, albeit hard. Pain played better as a team.
In the last match, OG lost to NiP. I honestly expected the OG team to win.

I also prefer that resolution stayed with Team Secret, but we do not know if he was kicked out or moved out on his own. He is going to a good team though, so his future is secured with OLD G. I think with enough time, Yamich will do good with this team. It is upon Puppey to properly guide and coach Yamich to perform well and blend well with his new team.

Division 1 is getting back in around 12 hours or so, getting some of the games to bet on but too bad that it starts with EEU division instead of WEU. Hydra was a pretty good team in division 2 on the last  DPC so I kinda want to watch them against One Move that was just decent

SEA DPC will also start tomorrow if you follow them. These are good matches and should be fun to watch.

ESL Pro League Season 17 is my main focus for the weekend and next week. There were some surprises in the last few matches, a big one was Grayhound beating NiP 2-1. I thought NiP would win that one easily, but I misjudged them. Today Grayhound is playing against paiN which is going to be interesting. Even though paiN is the clear favourite for the match I am going with Grayhound for this one. The other match today is 00Nation vs Rooster, which should the Brazilians be winning easily. Another big surprise was 00Nation losing against Grayhound and OG. Both coldzera and TACO are two great players and hopefully they will pull it around. The last match today is OG vs NiP which is probably the most interesting one, they are both good teams and it's going to be a close one. It's an all or nothing match, the losing team will be out of the Series. I will go with NiP for the match, it could go either way though.
Didn't expect those upsets at all. Especially for NiP, they look really dominant in the first map (Ancient) which is Grayhound's picks. It's surprising to see two big dogs facing each other in an elimination match. I'm also placing my bet on NiP. Good luck with our bet Cheesy

As well as ESL Pro League goes. This is the season of upsets. And IT will only continue. To me, tier1 (that includes max top10 teams in the world does not exist anymore). Only Heroic is actually pretty consistent with their form, but always do lose in finals (major, IEM katowice).
G2 also looks consistent, aside from their recent 2-0 loss against Cloud9. Personally, I hope to see more upsets like these, as they make the scene even more competitive and thrilling to watch.

Nerfing AWP, or SSG won't do a thing, if we won't change movement, boosts, atleast half of map pool. Look at Nuke right now. It used to be fully CT sided map for a few years. In 2022 its Like 60/40 CT map, that played well, could convert into 30/70 T sided map. Valve makes cosmetial changes, but it stll does not improve lvl of sportship.

Yesterday there were 2 matches whose outcome surprised me. The first one is of course Pain vs OG.When I look at the OG team, I think that it was a mixed team of young players, all talented from each other, but due to inexperience, such a defeat was taken. Otherwise, I think that OG's players are much stronger and more talented than Pain.Of course, this defeat is not very important for them, but it was proof that some lessons were learned. The other match was NiP losing to grayhound. While NiP won 16-2 on the map grayhound chose, they failed to show this success on other maps and were defeated as a result.I think that NiP's roster is not settled and they still need time and I want to think that this roster will achieve great success over time.Otherwise, NiP will be dragged into a collapse.I hope that the roster is strong now, but there is a disagreement between the players and this will be resolved soon.

Yet performance of NIP did not surprise me at all. I do not know how Aleksib, after getting benched in 3, teams before, is still taken seriously to tier1 teams. G2, OG, all of these squads, full of such great players (maybe NBK was not as good) failed even in major qualifications. How far this can go? Australian CS was always the one getting roasted around the whole world, only Dexter achieved something. Losing to such team as Grayhound, with 1 map lead, and also 9:6 lead on 2nd map, mirage, is a sign to move on with such IGL as AleksiB is. He just can not perform such as he used to back in the days, when he was in Ence.

Alright, just after the Lima major and those that have been too curious and were aware of the cheating that Team Knights did during the qualifiers, there's now an action that's been made by Valve and Perfect World. And they're not the only players from that team has been banned, there are too many of them. There goes the lifetime ban for players and those that have the duration of 1 year and 2 years ban.
Refer to this list for those players: Knights and EHOME Players Amongst 46 Banned From Dota 2 Pro Circuit

It's good that they're making a somewhat swifter action right now. I remember that some of the cheating accusations a few years back that took months before Valve acknowledged and then the situation just died down and IIRC this is also for a Chinese team. Having said that, there isn'tthat much that can be done for these players except to hand over these bans for them to realize the gravity of their actions. Less players in the active pool = more chance for a lot of new teams to grab.

1+ month without competitive Dota that is worth watching, I'll start focusing my sights on CS:GO once more.
There's no turning back, they've chosen their path and just destroyed their Dota 2 career. They know the consequences for doing such activities that are against the management and cheating is not tolerated by Valve I agree with you that they're acting quickly this time. Going back to CS:GO actions, although some minor Dota 2 tournaments are still there.

Lol, whats with all the majority of the China region player banned though. I guess cheating to make your way up to play for a DPC team is quite a thing there huh. Well atleast Knights player made it to the Major then made a joke out of themselves by getting their ass beat by most team from the group stage before Valve decided to ban them
It's a combination of many cheating involved like those hotkeys that they're using while they play, map hack for which most games and qualifiers are made online so it's easy for them to abuse it, and as well as the known "322". Well, they deserve it and looking at some articles online, I've read that only 2 teams remain in division 2. Let's see how the China region will fill those removed spots.

Two matches will be played today. The first match will be pain-og. Pain is a strong team but not strong enough to beat OG. I think OG team will beat Pain even if it's hard, it won't be an easy match. 3 maps can be played.
The other match is the Grayhound-NiP match. I expect NiP to win this match, albeit difficult, as well as a heavy defeat against Faze. Grayhound is the strong team of Australia and will push NiP.
