Well it is coin market cap trend to have red days and green days, and having a red days month doesn't mean that the coin is dying. It really has to undergo red days and investors must exercise the attitude to Wait Patiently for them to earn.
Well everything going red does not mean that the ETH is dying. Ethereum has a great concept for their product, stability in upgrading their coins, and has a lot of user (big market). The price increase from the start up until now is the prove that what i had been stated before is kinda right. So it is kinda a bad decision and analyzation if you think that Ethereum is now dying. Price decreasing is common in any stock (since cryptocurrency now is more like a stock), even gold has their down time.
Ethereum is best time to buy there is a space created if it dip like that it means time to invest people look at it like ethereum is dying but nothing will happen to ETH it will still remain second coin in crypto currency market

Those that move ahead and make good profit from cryptocurrency are the resilient, thosw are persistent and those that are patient. The scenerio that was described by the op will continue to exist but people with quality mentioned will always win!
Not ETH alone, quite a number of altcoins are also in red due to the bear market that has been for the 3-4 months or more. It's just that it's just showing the impart on Eth the more this time because since the red market, ETH hasn't go below 400$ and it's below 400$. Well I think this is the best time to pack more ETH has a good investor because I believe ETH will recover if not sooner than expected.
To my own view, i think We literally just saw raises after one of the biggest crashes. BTC and ETH are both rising as well gradually , I really don't think Ethereum will die any time soon in the future the coin really have a good potential. .
Eth won't die. It's just that the market is a bit sluggish right now, and people are used to the fact that cryptocurrency prices have been rising for a long time.

My portfolio is just half , but i still believe market will rise very soon !You are lucky it is only half down, mine is over 99% down but the thing is ETH is not dead, nor is the market, it is dormant and waiting for the big money to come in, but that will not happen until we see all the smaller investors die out and give up and sell their tokens and coins. My message to everyone would be hold your favorite tokens and coins, including Eth if you have any and wait it out one or two years, until things get better. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN ANY TIME SOON, THAT IS FOR SURE.

The etherium died 2 years ago, died a year ago, dies now and will still die 10-20 years. Yes, there are many competitors, yes, they are strong, but people believe in ratings and capitalization. And the etherium will not be easy to get rid of. Ya ETH is just getting battered right now vs BTC. It's a bummer -- I think I'm going to be selling most of my ETH.
I think right now is not the best time for cryptocurrencies to prosper, I think holding it and being patient is an act that will make you more fortunate if there is a chance to get a profit then.

What makes you say that?Even if you compare the price of ETH today with the exact date of last year, ETH is still around the same price, there is no decline and hence it has proved its investment value a lot better then other ALTs out there over the last 1 year period, a lot many other projects are 5-10 times below there last year price.
ETH has shaped the crypto space, a lot many ALTs only exist because ETH provided them a platform to initiate with.

Well that's part of life, not all the time you can always on the green situation. Sometime it can last for more than a year. It actually revolves on the market condition and global economic aspect. You can expect it to be always the same. Look on the oil and gas industry before it is very high but now its in comma, and anytime be depleted. Why? due to massive supply and low demand.
You can always applied the law of demand and supply. In crypto its all about market demand and supply, as you can see lots of investors gone due to hyped fuds being created in social mediums and its done no good since everyone are watching on different social media.
Admit it if the news escalated right a way and its a fake one. Half of the community believes in it. So what I can say is hold your holdings if you don't need money cause its only paper loss man. Not yet going to the point the value will gone.

I am a hodler of ETH and from what I noticed, the last 3 months is a bit stagnant and the price still too low for hodlers to sell. I think the demand for ETH is getting lower despite the fact that the crypto currency has a lot of transactions were ethereum is being used as a platform. The demand for the product is there but the investment on the coin itself is lower compared to other coins that has a lot of movement.

8 months this day, and still the market is red, many people lose their hope about the increase in price of every crypto in the market. but it doesnt mean that it has no chance of increase. just be patient a little longer, for sure market will recover soon.Jump to:
