I think not for now but maybe in the near future since ETH has the edge like the ability to provide operating system for the next generation of a decentralized internet. ETH in the past year had grown higher percentage which is around 4,000% than that of bitcoin which is only 600%. This data shows how ETH has been a fast growing altcoin in the crypto market.
right i think so, ethereum is threat to bitcoin but not for this time because if i looking in the market have big differrent between market bitcoin with ethereum but in the future ethereum its can make really-really threat of bitcoins for digital invest, ethereum is one wich most popular altcoins
The OP needs to change his statement by a little bit. Rather than "Ethereum a threat to bitcoin", it should be "Ethereum was a threat to bitcoin". And it never will be "Ethereum is a threat to bitcoin". ETH was threatening to overtake Bitcoin until mid-2017, but it lost steam soon after that. Now it is the turn of the other altcoins.
I guess people are entitled to their opinion; it is just that when they give their reasons, it is just some reasons that will make you want to puke just like the one that the OP has given. NBA is a different world from the crypto world and even though we do not know what the future holds, I guess the OP should be more concerned on how Ethereum itself can be displaced by the likes of NEO and co, rather than coming up with some flimsy reasons why Ethereum will be displacing bitcoin as that is completely a baseless assumption.

Firstly, Vitalik Buterin's parents emigrated to Canada when he was six years old, so calling him Russian-Canadian would be more accurate. And stating that "ethereum was created by a russian programmer" is totally misleading because Buterin first described Ethereum in a white paper in late 2013, 13 years later after moving to Canada. I'm not insisting that he is Canadian, no. I'm just saying that calling him "a Russian programmer" is misleading, especially considering that he attended a private school in Toronto and the University of Waterloo after that. I think that any form of nationalism is old-fashioned, if putting it mildly, and I'm glad that Vitalik Buterin himself, thinks the same:

I do not give what you say is true. Because the first and the last things will never be replaced if the new one is better than Bitcoin then that will happen. but just if.
Personally, I can not say that Ethereum is a threat to bitcoin because they have different purposes and uses. Although both are crypto, they work differently. But maybe because Bitcoin is still down and the price of EThereum is on the rise because a few weeks ago the growth of Ethereum was very fast and for threats could also happen because bitcoin is still fluctuating.

if bitcoin not developing anymore, the threats of bitcoin will be not only ETH but another good altcoins too.
Ethereum just the first coin below bitcoin. Ethereum has smart contract, which is the advance features that overcome bitcoin.
Ethereum is no way near a threat to bitcoin they are bith coins/tokens with complety different purposes. So bitcoin wants to be an currency to pay for goods and services and ethereum is more like an platform
ETH is no doubt one of the best coin in the world of crypto currencies but when it comes to that of making a comparison of ETH with that of the bitcoin, then I don’t think so that there is any match in between both the coins as bitcoin is far ahead of ETH and that ETH cannot compete with bitcoin in any way. i dont see any threat of ethereum to bitcoin. they are different, even though they are both valuable but bitcoin is really something than ethereum. bitcoin is the main crypto, and ethereum is just an altcoin.
Bitcoin is the king of crypto currency and for me no altcoin can beat it but I won't deny that ETH is really a threat to btc although i'm confident because of their big gap in price. Too many years before eth can dethrone or maybe not, even once. No one knows.

i think all coin and token are compete to each other, so maybe thats true etherium was a threat for bitcoin, but its natural, all altcoin was threat to each other.

If you are using a term like NBA then I would disagree. Eventhough ethereum was next to bitcoin, from the word "next" we cant deny that its just a lower than bitcoin. Its just like an NBA, eventhough simmons become the prince of NBA, he cant defeat the King which is Lebron. He cant dethroned lebron as long as Lebron is still alive. There's no threat to bitcoin if there is then those are the people who keep on sharing their thoughts and bad ideas about bitcoin.
There's no other coin so far that I see that can be a competitor to bitcoin. All of them are the same and they are altcoins so distinguishing it from the original one, bitcoin is the best.
