The Cleveland Cavaliers get back one of the best defensive players in the league Larry Nance Jr for this game. The Cavaliers have been playing some excellent defense in their last four games before the break allowing just 98 points per game in regulation time. There's also a chance that Cleveland will be without starting guard Darius Garland as he's questionable for this contest. Garland missed 8 straight games with an injury back in January and the Cavs only went above the posted total just 1 time in those games as Cleveland just doesn't have anyone who can do what Garland does for them on the offensive end of the floor.

On the other side of things I expect the New Orleans Pelicans to bring their best defensive effort to this one. The Pelicans were awful last night in their first game back from the break allowing 135 points to a bad Minnesota Timberwolves squad as Minnesota shot 54% from the field and 48% from behind the three point line in the game. Head coach Stan Van Gundy was very upset after the 30 point loss calling the Pelicans defensive performance embarrassing. Look for New Orleans to bring maximum intensity to this one tonight.

Vegas has posted a 4-1 record to the over in their last five games where they were playing with one day of rest and they have gone an excellent 5-2-1 to the over in their last eight games played on a Friday night for whatever reason. The Blues have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone 6-2-1 to the over in their last nine in that same Friday night spot and they have gone up and over the number in seven of their last nine following a game where they scored two goals or less. Throw in the fact that the over is a perfect 5-0 in the last five head to head meetings between the two teams and that’s where we’ll have our play as we expect both starting goalies to struggle a bit in St Louis on Friday night.

Both of these clubs come into Friday’s lone Premier League matchup with vastly different types of pressure. Villa sit in ninth place and are still battling it out for a place in the Top Six with Europe on their mind for next season. Maybe a bit of a look ahead for the visitors who have Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City in three of their next four matches. With just one win in their last five Premier League matches, the visitors have been riding early season magic to this point. They are without Jack Grealish once again, the nearly unstoppable English strikers absences has been felt. For Newcastle, they will have some confidence heading into this match as they are not lost to Villa at home in their last 12 matches dating back to December 2005, though Villa did win the first meeting against Newcastle at home 2-0 this season. The host enter off back to back draws, 1-1 against Wolves and scoreless against West Brom. Newcastle have held their own against teams in the middle of the table, but just one point from safety, this is a must get result for the banged up side.

Both teams lost three straight entering the break. But the Clippers just had a bad string of games and they don't have a lot to worry about for that losing streak. They should bounce back well here against a traditional rival. The Warriors are more of a team that is still trying to figure things out. After the All-Star Break we try to look for teams in their first game out that are very motivated, and we see the Clippers falling into that category tonight. When this team brings its A Game they can beat any team in the NBA by double digits.

The Knicks are an under machine this season at 23-14 on the year so far. This team has the No. 1 defense in the NBA and they bring it on that end of the court on a nightly basis. They are a true old-school defensive team as the offense leaves a lot to be desired and is one of the least productive in the league. This team regularly goes under the century mark on offense, which is very rare in today's NBA. Luckily for us, the Knicks went on a bit of an over streak before the break. But they are rested and they have probably been looking forward to this game against one of the best teams in the East and this matchup will be a measuring stick to where they are at right now as a team. We expect them to lock down on the defensive end and for this to be a close game. Just don't see the Knicks engaging in a shootout tonight. And there's a good chance that after the break that these teams could start the game rusty on offense, especially New York. The under is 7-1 in the Knicks last eight road games.

These two teams didn't meet up this year during the regular season. Idaho State played 7 different teams this year in the Big Sky and 6 of them were the bottom 6 teams in the conference standings as they went 7-5 against those teams. On the other side of things Montana State played 5 of those teams this season and they won 8 of their 10 games against them with one of the two losses coming by a point and the other by just 5.

I like the host as Olympiakos host Arsenal this afternoon. Greece has always been a difficult place for teams to come in and get a result, especially for English sides. Olympiakos are on a three match unbeaten run winning 3-0 over the weekend. Though they lost at PSV in the second leg of the round of 32, the host won 4-2 at home in the first leg. The Greeks have just one loss in their last 13 home Europa League matches and that one loss was against Arsenal last season, the first English side to win at Olympiakos since 2005, losing 1-0. Olympiakos do have some injury problems in defense, but they will be motivated to not suffer the same faith at home, though they will be confident knowing they took Arsenal in England. For the visitors, Arsenal are also unbeaten in their last three, but are coming off an unmotivated 1-1 draw at Burnley. This snapped a two match winning run. Arsenal are a side that just is not staying consistent, they are unbeaten in their last eight overall and away from home in the Europa League. A positive for Olympiakos is Arsenal did draw their last away match in the Europa League, 1-1 at Benfica. Overall, we see the host playing up with a makeshift defense, while Arsenal have a difficult match with West Ham coming up.

Minnesota is winless on the road in 10 tries, losing by 14.8 PPG. The Golden Gophers are expected to be without two starters, Liam Robbins or Gabe Kalscheur and they are on a 0-7 SU and ATS streak. After being in much the same boat, Northwestern has won three in a row, including one at Minnesota and comes into this clash with an abundance of confidence. With Minny 1-9 ATS in away games revenging a loss the last two seasons, the Wildcats are the play.

Syracuse is on the bubble, trying to reach the Big Dance and probably needs a couple of victories to secure that bid. Their first game won't be easy, as N.C. State is playing their best basketball of the season on a 5-0 SU run. In conference tournaments, teams playing with same-season double revenge, having lost by fewer than 10 points in both defeats and are three or fewer point underdogs, cover 65% of the time. With the Orange 1-7 ATS in road games when playing against a team with a winning record this season and the Wolfpack 32-14 ATS in conference tournament games, an upset is possible.

Barca are unbeaten in their last five since the 4-1 home loss to PSG with four straight wins, keeping a clean sheet in all four. This is a monumental task, we know that for Barca, they need a 4-1 score line at the end of regulation to force extra time (which would win our 3-unit play) and then to either score in extra time or win on penalties to cash in our 1-unit play. If any team can do this, Barca are one of the few in the world who can. They have overturned first leg deficits as they did recently against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey. Add in Barca's away record in the Champions League this season, winning three and not conceding a goal against Ferencvaros, Juventus, and Dynamo Kiev. Barca have only one loss in their last 13 away Champions League matches. For PSG, they were not able to keep the momentum from their win at Barcelona, losing to Monaco 2-0 at home that following weekend. Now on a three match winning streak however, they have also kept three keep sheets. PSG did make some major changes to their lineup for their 3-0 Coupe de France win over Brest, with the thought of resting the majority of their first team. This could really go either way, PSG are already without Neymar for this match, but it is not in their nature to just sit back and absorb the attack. This could be the best case for Barca, PSG having mixed up their lineup, coming in with a big lead, and having lost at home to big names like Bayern Munich and Manchester United in their last four home Champions League matches. Add in a 3-1 loss to a very average Manchester United side in 2019 at home and we really do like Barcelona's chances here.

Bryant is the much better team here. This team won 15 games last year and now sit at 15-5 this year as they were sub .500 last year and they are rolling this year. Two times they lost last year were to Mt. St. Mary's but much has changed. This team can flat out play. They are top 40 in effective field goal, they have a coach who is hungry, they lost to Syracuse by 1 point earlier this year, they beat UMass by 5 on the road and this is a team that certainly has the chops to win this game by a wide margin today.

Do you know who Coaches Iona? One of my favorite coaches of all time Rick Pitino. Coach Pitino wanted to go back home to New York, and find a small catholic school and he did with Iona. He is a coach that has coached at Kentucky, Louisville so getting his players up for a Conference Tournament is child's play. This is a team that also lost to Quinnipiac earlier this year by a bucket and I suspect having a month lay off and the fact that this team was able to clean up a lot of things will help them. Plus, the two best players on the court are from Iona and that should help too. Iona gets revenge and stream rolls Quinnipiac today likely. Quinnnipiac had a 25 to 10 free throw advantage last time, that won't happen this time either.

If you are Duke, this is it. The only way you make it to the NCAA Tournament is if you win the next 5 games and that venture and journey starts today against Boston College. Boston College definitely has the ability to get blownout but they only lost to Duke by 1 point earlier this year. But, at the same time, Duke is a much improved and different team and this is an area in North Carolina where they are very familiar with and Coach K has done this a million times. Duke knows they have to win the Conference Tourney in order to go to the Dance, and they also know, a win by a few points is not going to impress the committee by any measure. Think about this too, if Duke beat BC by 1 point last time and then drills them by 20 points this time, does this not show they have improved and peaking at the right point? We like Duke to lay the wood today and to win this contest going away.

It has been three weeks since Porto shocked Juventus at home, winning the first leg 2-1. They do take an advantage into this match, however, Juventus do have the golden away goal as an added bonus. So a 1-0 Juventus win will put the Italians into the round of 16. Since the 2-1 loss to Porto last month, the ever changing line up of Juve has gone 3-0-1, netting 3 goals in each of those wins, all at home while only conceding one at home. Juve are unbeaten in their last 11 at home with ten wins, in each of those wins, Juve have scored at least 2 goals. Now they host a confident Porto side who picked up their first win over the Italians in five all-time meetings. However, Juve are perfect against Porto at home, winning 1-0 in 2017 and 3-1 in 2001. The Portugese side bounced back from a difficult 3-1 loss in the Taca de Portugal last week for a 2-0 win at Gil Vicente and are now 3-1-1 in their last five matches. The visitors have not lost an away match in seven since losing 2-1 to league leaders Sporting in the Taca da Liga. Expect Juve to come out fast, looking for an early goal to give their defense some space. Ronaldo has only scored once against Porto and will be jacked up for this second leg tie with the round of 16 on the line.

Northern Kentucky has been one of the best programs in the Horizon League the past four seasons. They got off to a slow start this year posting a 5-8 record their first 13 games but since then they have won 9 of their last 11 with the two losses coming in overtime and the other was the final regular season game against a Wright State team that was playing for a conference title.

These two teams haven't faced each other this year but before this year NKU has won the last four head to head meetings. The Norse come in off a win over a red hot Detroit team that had won 9 of their last 10. NKU is a gritty team that finds ways to win games against teams of similar ability. We have seen evidence of that this all year from them in these low lined games as they have went 8-1 straight-up and against the spread when the line was between -2 and +2 with the lone loss coming in overtime. This is a huge positive sign of a team that doesn't panic which is important here in what should be a pressure packed contest.

Today we roll with the Wild at home as small underdogs.  This is a Wild team that returns home after a long road trip and will have some new energy as their coach said they ran out of gas near the end playing so many games on the road.  The Wild lost back to back games to Vegas on their road trip so they get a shot at revenge here.  The Wild also come off a loss the Yotes that saw them score just 2 goals losing 5-2.  Vegas comes off beating up the Sharks, taking both games in that series.  The Wild are a much better team then the Sharks and I think the Wild will catch Vegas a bit flat here.  Put it all together and I like the Wild at home today as the more motivated team and get some revenge.  Great public fade to boot.  Wild are 7-1 in their last 8 games following a loss of 3 or more goals.  Wild are 7-2 in their last 9 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game.

The only way Mercer hangs tough in this game is through their defense. They have a very intelligent coach in Gary who helped beat Georgia Tech earlier this year and he will have a strong defensive plan set up here for Mercer who faces a UNCG team they have not beat all year. Look for a drag out, half court game that sees both teams in the 60's today as we have this contest as a 68-62 type of final and hence going Under.

Though the Manchester derby turned out to be a one-sided affair, we expect this match to be the Match of the Week in the Premier League. Both sides are challenging for a place in the Champions League next season with Chelsea holding onto fourth place thanks to a ten match unbeaten run since Thomas Tuchel took over, while Everton are holding strong in fifth, one point behind Chelsea but with a game in hand. Chelsea are one of the best home sides this term in the Premier League, however Everton are one of the best away sides. So this has the making to be a cagy matchup. Everton did win the earlier meeting at home this season 1-0 and are coming off a 1-0 away win at West Brom, their third win in a row and third clean sheet. Away from home, Everton are unbeaten in their last nine with seven wins, including wins at Leicester and Liverpool. For Chelsea, they come off a 1-0 win at Liverpool and are unbeaten in 11, with eight wins. At home they come off a scoreless draw against Manchester United and are 3-0-2 in their last five. They have a draw against Man United, a 3-1 loss to Manchester City, a scoreless draw against Tottenham and a 2-0 loss to Liverpool at home this season. Chelsea however are unbeaten in their last 25 at home against Everton. But the visitors will be confident with the earlier season win and will want a better showing than their 4-0 defeat last season at Chelsea. Overall, Everton have won three of the last four.

I just believe that they spread has finally been over adjusted on Wisconsin. We have been fading Wisconsin with top play for quite some time now, but it is too high for this game. Wisconsin will try and keep the scoring low and thus it may be hard for Iowa to cover this big of a number. The road team is 8-3 ATS (1 push) in the last 12 games between Wisconsin and Iowa. The Badgers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games played on Sunday.

Texas does not have much to play for in this game and thus I do not believe they will be all that motivated to play a Sunday night game in Fort Worth. Texas got blown out last year in their regular season finale in a shocking upset and I believe that this game will do down to the wire as well. TCU likes to keep games in the sixties and if they do that today they should be able to cover the spread. This will be the Longhorns fourth straight road game and that will eventually catch up with them and cause a flat spot. The home team is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings between Texas and TCU. Texas is 3-8 ATS (1 push) in their last 12 games. TCU is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight-up loss in their previous game.
