These are just my speculations and opinions, though. I am just quite upset with what happened, and I want to see a very dominant Team USA roster so that competing countries will be tested and may learn to improve more their brand of basketball.

Yeah, I am pretty sure Serbia has more than 5 NBA players at the moment and only 3 of them are playing here in the FIBA World Cup. I thought Serbia would be a slight favorite over Germany but I am wrong. But still, I am betting on Serbia as well. Germany has deadly shooters so putting pressure on Schroder and not allowing him to make many plays will disrupt their offense. And Serbia has a good defense.

The matchup is very interesting, but the strategy you mentioned, which is to put pressure on Schröder, might not work in this game. Why? Because many teams have already tried that, and yet Germany still remains undefeated in the tournament so far. I would just think that Serbia will have to play better in the game to beat Germany. Anyway, either team could win; that's why the betting odds do not have a huge disparity.

I said that these 5-8 placement games doesn't matters, but still, it's just shameful to lose against Latvia by 35 points. Latvia made 16 of 32 3-pointers (50%), it's better than our 2 point FG and free throws %. New Latvia star Arturs Zagars made made all time World Cup record with 17 assists.
In 4th quarter it already looked that Italy took control of game with 2 points lead, but already in next attack Doncic mae great pass to Cebasek who was completely free in corner and dropped 3 pointer. It was probably decisive moment. It was last game for Gigi Datome in professional basketball. He had memeorable career and his farewell was nice.

Seems that you didn't followed not just European qualifiers, but also this FIBA World Cup. Spain got eliminated quite early after 2nd round when they unexpected lost to Latvia and then decisive game against Canada.

And they were champions of the FIBA Eurobasket so yes it was surprising that they were brought down as early as the second round. Latvia is a stronger team now and I bet they will keep this up in the Olympics. Oh, and they defeated Lithuania today in a blowout game. The Kurucs brothers are so strong and they are young with lots of improvement that can be seen in their talents. I'd be eyeing on this country on the Olympics and the next event after that.

The final is tomorrow and betting on it will not be easy. I have seen that some places are allowing bets for the third place, which will be between USA and Canada, and I think USA will be playing better due to their loss to Germany, they will have more fire so I am going to bet on USA to win that game. There’s indeed a better team aside from NBA Teams but we cannot deny that NBA players are still better compare to other players and let’s understand that its actually a Team C of USA meaning its not the top NBA players at all. Well, a loss is a loss and team USA should not make any excuses and just better to play better in the battle for third. Losing a bet is normal, I also lose some but its ok at least they still made it a great game and make it more intense.

What a game, I watched it with German friends via conference call and we couldn't help but scream at the end. We knew we had a chance, we knew we had the better team (not better players individually), and our team pulled it off.

The end was so wild and some joke calls by the refs but in the end justice prevailed.

The final will be just as hard as Serbia is a real TEAM with great talent. It's totally a 50/50 game and only daily performance will decide the winner. Any off day of a big go-to player can make a big difference.

And my 40:1 bet on Germany, even if it was just with 20$, paid out well now. Tongue

US sent new guys in NBA so even if they are talented still they are new on the league that's why they are been eliminated by those veterans. There's a rumor that on upcoming olympics Lebron and other NBA superstars commit to play so for that maybe we can see a difference on the gameplay since this guys can dominate their opponents. So lets see if we can see some good roster adjustment on upcoming olympics on side of USA.

Many of us lose to bets because we predict Canada and USA go to the final or at least one of them but it turns out that all our predictions are wrong
For Germany and Serbia we don't know who will win but Germany should be more feasible because through strong opponents like USA
