I was surprised actually. Canada is the powerhouse team, that's too obvious but Serbia had been punishing them everywhere. I tried to analyze where the game difference is, and it's difficult to find it until you see the final stats. Outrebounded. That's what happened. Big men of Serbia are better than Canada and they took advantage of that mismatch. All they need is to defend well and pray that the shots won't sink in from Canada and they will get the rebound without any trouble.
Imagine Serbia having more mistakes than Canada 17 against 13 turnovers and yet they still find a way to win this match.

Are we going to see a Serbian NBA champion and a Serbian Team FIBA champion this year?   There's a chance.
Novak Djokovic, Nikola Jokic, Serbian National Basketball Team. Wow, I think this is their year in sports. But they have to go through the USA or Germany first. Game time is in 1 hour.

Bogdanovic was unstoppable and the Canadian's isolation plays didn't work well with the defense of the Serbians. Just wonder though if they could go this far is their MVP is playing, i mean ball rotation of the Serbians was superb without Jokic. Anyways, it is what it is and now they are on the Finals and thanks to that upset and my bet ticket won  .

Second game, i do't think their will be an upset here as USA for me really playing well after that defeat in the hands of the Lithuanians, might be close but i see Serbia and US playing for the Finals.

Lithuania won the other day and were the underdogs to win against Slovenia with Luka Doncic.
Serbia just smoked Canada and so they are waiting on the USA vs Germany match to see who they play for the 1st place in the tournament Sunday.

Just hope USA doesn't pull another upset like Serbia just did to the 2nd team behind them in the entire tournament.
What rank were Serbia before this tournament started?

A huge performance from Serbia, I felt they could not outscore Canada but their 1st half performance was simply spotless.
In the 2nd half they were calm and just continued with what worked for them throughout most of the tournament.

I'm interested to see how they will do against USA in the final - USA is a bit better team than Canada, although with a similar basketball philosophy.

I like how Serbia plays much more and I'll be rooting for them in the final.


What were your expectations before the start of the tournament? Based on the quality of your roster reaching the semifinals was a minimum, no?

now we have to hope for Germany to upset USA, or we have to do it ourselves, although silver is more than we hopped for before tournament

Canada can’t manage to outscore Serbia consistently which is the main reason to their lose on this game. I consider the game already lose against Canada since there’s only few minutes remaining while the lead can’t cut down below 10. Serbia is bery on fast break and 3 points shot since Canada has a very weak paint defender unlike Serbia.

It’s like playing against team full of Jokic. I think Serbia basketball improves a lot and they might have a chance to take down USA if they can maintain this kind of level of basketball. They are unstoppable because they have both offense and defense.

Your bet aint looking at all. Serbia is destroying Canada so far with their good defence and now on halftime Serbia is leading 52-39 and it will take Canada a lot of effort plus Canadas best player Gilgeous-Alexander is in foul trouble with three fouls already so things arent looking good for Canada so far.

The only lost for Canada was Argentina and Brazil, and for sure the number of NBA players, The Canada has pretty much a great game against the Slovenia and it was Dillon Brooks Physical defense that has stopped Luka Doncic offense and likely Luka Doncic ending up out for this game while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and RJ Barrett, has great offense for that game against the Slovenia, so my pick for this game are the Canada,

USA vs Germany

For sure Germany has a great team passing and they are really ready when it comes to the game of Basket ball because they also have their own league in their country but the USA is pretty much great with every team they play the only problem they have are the Brazilian team where the two games was all lost but for this game I think that they can likely win against the German Team, so my pick for this game are the USA,

There's no guarantee in sports betting; one might have a good run, but it doesn't mean the risk of losing won't happen. We are talking about the semi-finals already. Canada may be the favorites, but the Serbians, even without the Joker, are doing well. So, I wouldn't think the word 'easily' would be appropriate, as Serbia isn't like Slovenia, who are very easy to predict since they rely heavily on Luka.

You mean Canada won today by 11 points or more? I don't know why he is confident Canada will win easily while the handicap for this match is -7.5 points for Canada meaning the betting market did predict Canada would win but it wasn't easy, sometimes results in semifinals are unexpected the slightest mistake can cause defeat. My last bet here was last Tuesday almost all the bets lost I gave up and didn't follow it again except for the final maybe I would be interested, I'm waiting for USA vs Canada in the final.

ML? why not, but it's not good odds though, it's just around 1.49 but if you can throw big money then maybe it will get you good returns. However, I'm thinking that Serbia might give everything they got in the semis against NBA laden Canadian team.

Maybe they will go rough and play good defense against Canada and hopefully their outside shooting will click so that the defense might spread. Canada though is going one on one with SGA. But it's not a one man team thats's why it's hard how the Serbs are going to upset them. The over and under is -/+4.5 and there could be more money in that odds.

What do you mean that they are surprisingly strong, their lineup consist of NBA players, just imagine if NBA champion Jamal Murray is in the lineup for Canada, but he chooses to skip but still though SGA is enough for Canada to cover their offense and score and then Brooks to pesk the number 1 in any team.

So the finals for me will be US against Canada and it's going to be like a NBA finals. But this time it's more to that, there will be a lot of emotions and I wouldn't be surprised if there will be disqualifications in the end.

No need to be surprised if on the match does not determine the strong team that will lose like when USA lost and it didn't have any impact
So far I've noticed they can manage the match whether they want to lose in Q1 or win in Q4 they can even determine the total score in Q1,Q2 and more
Basketball is more difficult to predict especially if one of the teams is favored, even though I have favorite team but I will not bet for them.

That's the lapses of Slovenia and they already know the result if they rely to much on their superstar since at the end they fell short if they face a team which rotate the ball and can do good defense. Canada is so strong but I doubt they can beat USA if they reach to finals since aside from youth those guys from US is so skilled and can able to adjust on each situation they face. Although they lose from Slovenia but for sure they learn a lot from it and will not downplay their opponent and remain in focus.

Team USA will have this one in the bag and proceed to finals. They have good ball rotation and handling across the board and no one is trying to be the face of the game, which is pretty good to me. Canada also has the same mindset, hence why the managed to edge Slovenia. What I don't like on Slovenia's play is that they heavily rely on Luka to do the play or shooting and not much ball rotation action happening. They have solid players with a strong inside but they aren't utilizing it that much.

You can say that is his Unique way of playing and even though I am also (not mad or really hate him) there is a certain vibe in me that loving him and hating him is how he is for me I think that Uniqueness is his quality even though he wants to change that certain something keeps on popping up in is skin and Luka Doncic said on the interview that Dillon Brooks was very Physical like he always does that a lot of people don't like him but he respected Brooks in what he does and that Brooks was good at it, even though he was sent out and can not be played anymore he also complained about the referee's and their wrong call regarding the game,

Serbia VS Canada

USA VS Germany

The stake odds for this game are 1.15 for the USA and 5.20 for this game we all know that the USA consists of NBA players while Germany has Franz Wagner and Moritz Wagner both playing at Orlando Magic, Dennis Schroder playing at Toronto Raptors and Daniel Theis playing at Indiana Pacers, the interesting part for Germany as they have players that are originally football player (just Kidding) just because they are playing at FC Bayern München doesn't mean it is all football because FC Bayern also has BBL a basketball for their country, but this is the real fun fact Isaac Bonga once played in the NBA Los Angeles Lakers since 2018–2019, Washington Wizards since 2019–2021, and Toronto Raptors 2021–2022 but for my pick, I will still be picking the USA to win this game,

Canada is surprisingly strong this time and they managed to shut Luka and his team to get to the semi-finals, thankfully They weren't against the USA but it would be nice for them to play in the finals and it would be the best game ever in the FIBA world cup ever. But honestly, Germany is still strong but Team USA is stronger this time, They wrap this up quickly and go to the finals.

I honestly believe Canada will have a lot of trouble with Serbia. They have a real team while Canada is just an assambled squad. The play FIBA basketball while Canada, just like the USA, always has some troubles with the rules.

Also, Canada already has show some trouble halftimes against some teams, if they do this against Serbia there won't be a come back in the 2nd half. Any, I am routing for the Europeans of course.

On the other game, I think my German team has very small chances of course, especially after that terrible game against Latvia. Schröder has to find hi mojo as fast as possible, we can't have him shoot 4/26 from the field again.
With a lot of focus and good shooting splits we can maybe keep the score close until the forth, and then everything is possible.
USA has a lot of pressure because everybody expects them to win, that's our advantage in the game.

Sorry about that but Slovenia lost to Canada and for sure it was a close one until Dillon Brooks Decided to be himself in the Fiba World Cup because Luka Doncic was defended by Dillon Brooks and did not get many fouls because Brooks had full contact defense in Luka Doncic, Luka was already struggling because Brooks was really getting Physical towards him and that is the time when Dillon Brooks got fouled out with getting Physical with Doncic because the Crowd doesn't like it Brooks was in taunting mode just like what Brooks is doing best, While Luka also got fouled out because he kept on complaining with the call of the referee it was really awful Slovenia struggled without Luka Doncic on the team and Both RJ Barrett and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Destroyed the Canadian team with the back-up of Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Dillon Brooks back-up of 14 points each,
