Yes, and to add to that, it just shows that defense win games, we have heard this to a lot o great coaches in the past, everything started with D and then the offense will come. And it also shows that the Euro League is catching up or at least at par with the NBA and that's why we have seen a lot of European now in the NBA dominating.

Luka even once said that it's easy to score in the NBA, maybe the defense of NBA is not there yet with some of the EU league or it's just the EU has very different style that's why the NBA players are not used to it in this FIBA.

I doubt Lebron James will play in the Olympics, he is done with that.
IMO, the team they sent is not Team C of the NBA. These are the rising stars of the league and they want them to experience the world competition. I bet they learned a lot of lessons after their loss against Germany.
Basketball doesn't only rotate in the NBA, the Euroleague is also a competitive place and that is why many NBA stars now are Europeans.
Their defense is so weak and I think they forgot that it is also part of the game. Team USA always relied on their offensive power and that was given but Germany didn't stop by just using offense as their weapon, they used their strong defense too.

About who will they send for the Olympics, there's a chance it's the same roster but I bet it will be much stronger because of what happened yesterday. These players would want to redeem themselves too so they might push the management to send them again.

There are indeed monsters outside NBA and extremely great players as well, these players that are representing the aren't the best of the NBA rather, the best of the lower 30/35% ? right, I would not associated Canada and USA's loss to the fact that it's due to better players than those of NBA, because these losses can be said to have been facilitated by the NBA players from the opposing teams, I know basketball doesn't evolve around NBA alone and there are other fantastic and players out there in Europe and Asia or other parts of the world that will dominate in the NBA.

However, the USA or Canadian national basketball team is never a standard to hold or judge the NBA by, in my candid opinion.

Well, that's what everyone else are expecting to see in the finals but unfortunately 2 other teams have played on a much higher level than Canada and USA. I wasn't so surprised about this upset though, wel all know this isn't the best team the USA has. This roster is like the team C for the team USA. In that case, they are really being over confident in still dominating the international stage, unfortunately European teams were tough.
Let's see who they are gonna be sending next Fiba world cup. Is there a Redeem team 2? Will LeBron play in the Olympics?

I lost all of my bets well you can really never tell the outcome of the game and there are really monster teams outside of the NBA in what I see in these Fiba games or maybe because their chemistry was something we should not underestimate aswell and both teams if you examine their team they are link 2 teams that combined to be one so they have known each other and each other's playing pattern that is why their movement is so slick what I notice about Serbia and Germany team, surely if I have known this ahead maybe there can be a different outcome but surely I am surely witnessing these teams 1st hand,

Serbia VS Canada SCORE 95 - 86 - LOST

It was a grueling defeat Serbia knew who and when to place their defense they had to Stop Shai Gilgeious-Alexander from his track but he just managed to put in only 15 points in this game while RJ Barrett smoked in with 23 points but it was not enough as Serbia has managed to get the game on their track with their spread of points towards this game it was Ognjen Dobric 16 points and Nikola Milutinov has a double-double of 10 rebounds and 16 points,

USA VS Germany SCORE 111 - 113 - LOST

Actually, it was a close match I feel OK with the results but not my bet, I thought the USA could manage to make a comeback but Germany's lead was so large that the USA could not do anything to recover but Daniel Theis and Franz Wagner did a great job in making the lead, closer and I think that is a great thing for them to do, in making it that way but still the USA lost to Germany

Still a great experience for the youngster, they still have the chance to finish in 3rd and that will be against Canada after all. Germany did their assignment very well and execute it the way they wanted it. Germany will finish the World cup at a better position and finishing the title chase since 2002 after finishing 3rd, now they have the chance to get their first ever title with FIBA. This will be an exciting one and let’s see how Serbia prepares for this.

Wanted to see the US play in the Finals but Germany was the better team today.  I actually wanted to see US vs Canada in the finals so at least we will get to see that.  As a knick fan it will be fun to see j brunsen and rj compete against each other.  Haven't checked but the odds got to be almost even on that game no?

It will be a different game because it wont be so much open and so much running on the floar. Serbia has a good defence and Germany wont have easy shots like they did against USA. The odds are slightly in favor of Germany but it could go either way. Im going with Serbia because they defeated o most everyone really hard

Too bad for USA for losing at a very close game, I really though they will be the one heading to the final but again, this is very unpredictable.
Now playing with Serbia, I think this will not be an easy game and the way Germany played against USA, they can have a good chance of winning over Serbia.
I see Serbia as a solid team as well, and because of that I will also take the risk and will take a bet to Serbia just to get back my losses for betting with USA. 

Serbia is a better "team" whereas Canada just has good players. That's the difference in these global cups, when we are talking about something that is a bit more personal and it looks like we are going to see teams matter more. Serbia can play amazingly together, and not like they had no NBA players, Bogdan was there, and I believe that we are going to see them do very well on the finals as well.

When you try to put all the ball into a few players hands and tell others to just defend, that's not going to be good, plus these people play together more commonly, and that means that they are going to do fine, most other nations end up playing well together because they have history, Canada didn't had that at all.

Wow, interesting odds. I expect Serbia's defence to stop Germany's offence. IMO, europeans could stop the america and canada but when we consider the european basketball, Serbia will probably be the better side on defense. Then it is up to the forced shots. Germany is really doing great in this tournament, so I can understand that they might seem like the favourites. But as it is pointed out, odds are really close. Semi finals were amazing to watch and nba players getting upsetting results made this tournament more enjoyable.

I did not watch the Germany-USA game, thought it would be boring. To be honest, maybe I don't give enough credit to the German team - I saw the highlights and they really played well.
The thing that I can't understand is how can this USA team not defend better? I mean - the matchups are in their favor, all they need to do is just give some basic effort.

It was really surprising for me to see USA losing to Germany honestly. USA didn't bring many superstars to this tournament though but they were still the strongest team on paper. If USA used the balls better in the last moments they still could have won the match.

USA bring their superstars for the Olympics mostly. If they do the same for the World Cup as well I can't even imagine how strong they could be.    I would really like to watch players like Steph Curry here. He would be really unstoppable. Anyway when it comes to who can win the tournament now I think it will be Serbia.

Yeah, for sure there could be bettors here who lost big in the semi finals as both favorite are upset, specially USA wherein we thought that they can manage to win the FIBA again. But then, when they got their first lost, it's already a bad sign.

Germany vs Serbia, gonna be a great final match. And I do agree I like the chances of Serbia here and the odds even the ML are too good to be not taken this early as it might change a bit. And it just shows that talent is not everything, teams need to have chemistry and defense and that's what Germany and Serbia shows in this game.

Not a big difference in the odds between Germany and Serbia, Germany is a slight favorite in some of the betting sites at 1.83 and Serbia at 1.95. Saw huge bets being placed on USA and many lost their bets. During the first two period, was expecting USA to pull back and make a substantial lead but then the third period Germany pulled away and the expectation was that they will rally back in the final period which never happened .

Congratulations to Germany and now these current roster already made history for Germans considering it's their first time to head-to-head in the FWC Finals. I think they might get that history to bring home that trophy if they play well just like what they did today. Now USA will assemble the Redeem Team 2.0 for FWC, as I've said before that USA roster isn't that of a big shot compare to what they deploy on 2010 and 2014 FWC.

The USA seemed lost on offense; they appeared to be playing more of a one-on-one style of basketball compared to Germany, which clearly had a game plan. I think the USA lacks a good point guard, unlike Germany, who has Dennis Schröder, who truly imposes his influence on the team. I didn't see much one-on-one basketball from Germany; Dennis doesn't even force his shots; he makes everyone better on the court. That's what I believe was the reason why the USA lost, despite having more talent than Germany.

Germany have opened as  the slight  underdogs at 2.05 odds and i think germany + under is a pretty nice play for the finals

Yeah, it was a big upset in the semi finals and was wondering if someone was able to bet on either or both upsets now? I thought that the Canadians has an easy path but Serbia was really playing good defense.

So now it's Germany vs Serbia. The hype on US is gone, Lol. Costly turnover and I guess when they come back there will be a lot of criticism on everyone, specially from the coach. Anyone, lots of unpredictable in this tournament and we have two European in the FIBA finals.
