Eusebio was better than Messi and Ronaldo? What are you referring to? And how does that even look like? When Messi makes soccer look as easy as one could ever imagine it to be, how did Eusebio make it look even easier?

I think it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to argue that Eusebio was better. What makes sense though is when someone says times were different and at that specific time player X was the best in the world. I doubt that Eusebio would have ever had better stats these days than Messi if they played at the same time.

I also don't think that a World Cup title decides whether you are a good player or not. When you are born into a county that simply can't win the title, does that automatically mean that you can't be a good player?                                                                                                       

It has been a common thing that either Argentina or Portugal to meet along the way or one of them making it to semi finals or even the final, but this time i think they both have something new to offer as a surprise in their 2022 FIFA world cup, though having the role of the key players in the two countries isn't the major thing that gives them hedge to making it, but the coordination in each team together along with its team players goes along way, i wish Messi and Ronaldo could perform more better than they have been giving in their respective clubs for their country.

Portugal and Argentina had great players before Messi and Ronaldo, and they will have them after them too, don't worry 
You are too young to remember Eusebio, but he was the best footballer in the world in his time, better than Messi and Ronaldo, and with him the Portuguese national team was very strong.

however, it seems that argentina are more likely to qualify in the next rounds or maybe even reach the final. on the other hand, the Portugal squad actually has a lot of pretty good players and some of them are very experienced in the world cup tournament.  it's just that the strategy used by the Portugal squad always relies on the star.
IMO, this is the reason why it is so difficult for Portugal to play stable in every performance.

German quality is always superior even they have the worst performance in last world cup which was played into Russia, but they can fight back very quickly with their quality and skills right now their squad is mixture of some old and best players with having few quality youths as well and with this all they can give surprising results in this event even they can go into last four without any big trouble with facing to Brazil or France which are main contenders in this event right now.

Right now peoples feeling Brazil and France are strong enough with Spain, Argentina and England are other good teams, but mostly peoples are forgetting the Netherlands and Germany as both are the most amazing teams from Europe and have quality to win this event at Qatar.

Yes, it is normal to support one team, even if with a smaller chance. I think everyone thinks so too. His love for the country for example, it wouldn't lessen even though they were highly unlikely to compete.

if that happens, i.e. Argentina vs Portugal in the 2022 FIFA world cup final, then it will definitely be the match that gets the most coverage. because like you said. in it there are two star players. and these two players namely cristiano Ronaldo and Messi will play in the world cup for the last time.

I thought the same thing as well but we should be looking at the reality of the day mostly. South Americans' football is top-notch, no doubt about that but they are always unlucky when it comes to the world cup. Brazil has won most in that continent, yet the Brazil of old is not the Brazil of this time. They will surely try, nonetheless, the countries that last won the world cup in 2002 should not be the favourite of any predictor.

One thing I will always tell people is that Messi and Ronaldo are one player in a team and they are getting older, the strength and fame are not the same if you agree with me. Have they ranked well among the top players of the world again in the recent rankings and nominations/awards? This should tell you something. And if it is about the combined squad potency, Germany has all it takes to win the trophy.

You are right, the group stage is my fear with Germany, they tend to take it lightly believing that they are better than the other teams. They were wrong in the last world cup and that would have taught them a lesson. I guess they will do better this time.

OP has given us with the option of choosing only from the 5 teams and there are no teams from South America. If he could have given us to choice of Argentina and Brazil, then the result may have been more interesting. I know the German team is strong and is fully capable of making to the finals but since we are talking about the FIFA world cup, other good teams not listed make this list of voting options somewhat useless.

Germany have been the pick by the majority. As you've mentioned Germany stands superior against other teams, because of the players in the team. Everyone are highly trained and at the top in their position. When it comes to Argentina or Portugal, it looks like the team goes on specific player centric. This won't give hands all the time.

All favorites will have no problems in the groups. However, they have to be careful with the group of Spain and Germany, because a slip against the number 3 of the group means an immediate elimination. We have all seen how that went with Germany in 2018, when they did not survive the group stage. I don't know who to rate higher at the moment, Germany or Spain. There is a possibility that Portugal and Argentina could play in the finals, just like almost most world cups. Which is why I am still holding out hope one last time, I know that 4 years from now it would be quite difficult for Ronaldo to be the striker for Portugal, and maybe Messi won't be there as well. This means this is the last time that we are going to see Argentina and Portugal having a chance of finals against each other to see these two giants.

I know that Argentina does have a chance but Portugal doesn't and they are given low odds but I just hope some pure luck and something happens and we watch that. I guarantee you, in ANY combination of finals, that would be the most viewed finals ever.

France is a team that has a very complete depth of players than squads from other countries, they will defend the title of defending champion. but if we look at their match stats the last few years, their game is in poor form, they have problems between individual players. and this is a note for Didier Descamps to fix their squad.
England, the Netherlands, look ready for this tournament, but they are not the only favourites.
Brazil is the favorite candidate because they have a good match record, their game is very solid and filled with quality players.  Germany and Spain are also not very in favor, they are in the process of updating their players.

Qualifications are one thing, the competition itself is something completely different. It would not be the first time that a team, which played somewhat worse in the qualifiers, played brilliantly at the world championship and became the world champion.
Don't forget that almost a year will pass from the end of the qualifications to the start of the world championship, which is a very long period and a lot can change in the meantime.
Spain has a very experienced team, with players who play in the best clubs in the world, with a winning mentality and they know how to win trophies.
Brazil is also one of the favorites of the competition, but so are England, France, Argentina and Belgium.

This is funny, yet I am glad that you a bit acknowledge that they will perform in this FIFA world cup, I mean Germany and Spain. The group stage should be a workover for them as far as I expect, and Germany would not want the last world cup situation to repeat itself. And if I may ask, what is your favourite country to win the competition?

Everyone has their own standards why they decide to choose one name to be the favorite in the World Cup. It is natural even though our views are very much different. I myself will enjoy their game at least until the group stage, their game seems to affect my prediction to speculate who is more deserving to win the title. 

France have a great team, and they are very strong favorites for the 2022 world cup, but i don't feel they will win it, it is hard to win back to back world cups in this modern era, and since France won it in 2018, i feel another country is going to take the world cup title from them this season, but surely they are amongst the favorites to win it. England look ready, i feel they may go as far as the final, other favorites are Brazil, Germany, Argentina and Spain, the world champions will emerge from one of these countries.
