I find it EXTREMELY ironic that the _newest_ wallet says "unknown rules".

My only comment on that one....

You should have kept one single thread, it would have been the biggest altcoin mining thread I guess ! Anyway I will be following this one.

The best and most stable GTx 1080 Ti that we have is actually the EVGA FE model that I have as one of the two in my personal gaming rig (other 1080 Ti in there is a Gigabyte). That EVGA FE runs with the highest OC of any that we have and has not had a single hiccup in all the months I've had it. It stays pretty cool too considering the cooler and being a SLI setup inside a traditional case. I think we have 12 or 13 1080 Ti in total and that EVGA FE will run +250 core all day long while none of the others can even stay stable at +200 (that's at 80% power limit).

Thank you for your help

Philip, sorry for a small hijack of your thread.

Went to buy 2x 1080Ti and couldn't pay so that have triggered my question.

ZOTAC or EVGA ? Smiley

Thank you again for help

Never used zotac, but as reported, Phil has seen good results.

He's also right about EVGA, I specifically only buy their cards now....

Quality product; over-engineered (not in a bad way in the slightest); and the warranty is second-to-none.       I highly recommend EVGA products.

I agree. My farm is mostly FE edition and after getting 2x evga 1080ti sc2, I'm never cheaping out to go with FE again. A lot quieter, 100mhz higher boost clocks at same power draw, 3 - 5% higher hash rate that my batch of FE cards and best in industry warranty.

Even if it costs $30 more, I think we can recoup part of that $30 when reselling.

Have you checked if zotac gives 3 year transferrable warranty too?

See if i was to start over and buy ALL of the same card, it would be the Asus Turbo 1080ti's, out of all the 1080ti's they are the only cards that have given me 0 issues to date on multiple rigs as well seem to cool the best during the peak of the day here in Florida with the 95+F temps.... They do run hotter naturally it seems, but the fans on them are just amazing at the higher fan speeds it seems, so at night when the temps are the coolest, they are running at the highest fan speed to maintain my 70c target temp, but during the day around 3pm-ish, they run of the lowest fan % to maintain the 70c target temp and the hashrates on them are kinda in the middle after applying overclocking, they dont hash as well as the EVGA cards, but they beat the pants off my MSI and Gigabyte cards in hashrates, especially during the hotter parts of the day..

I actually have a hate love relationship with 1080ti evga cards, they are the only cards that when freeze up they just lock up the computer solid and it never recovers, EVERY other brand i have when they freeze up they just flash the screen and reset the settings on the GPU, but always recover... i absolutely hate when a random EVGA card locks up a computer and its stuck unable to mine for hours tell i realize its locked up..

that's very strange.   I have never had a card that doesn't recover from a driver crash.... not unless I was trying extreme over/underclocking....

Ya, i have an ongoing hate/love issue with the EVGA rig i have with 1080ti's. All 4 of the ones i have randomly lockup, its not always the same GPU and its not the computer they are plugged into, because i thought it was that also and swapped it with my spare computer i have with no change. I think they hold onto the heat more so than other cards even with the so called advanced cooling, because when i point my laser gun on them to check temps, the EVGA cards report LOWER temps than other cards, but the metal overall on the cards are easily 10-15c hotter than other cards reporting the exact same temps in MSI Afterburner... I will say this tho, the EVGA cards hash the highest out of ALL my cards to date on AIR, so that is the love side of things, but its annoying when i wake up and find that rig has locked up and i has been since like 20 minutes after i fell asleep... just my kind of luck i guess.

I have tons of ZOTAC mostly on 1070s and 1060s - hashing very well.

I have Gigabyte and ZOTAC for 1080tis. The ZOTAC 1080ti AMP Extreme editions are absolutely king right now - the best cards in my small NVIDIA farm.

I dont have EVGAs cards... but I have a few dozen EVGAs PSUs -- top notch PSUs. I am sure their cards are just as good ...  Grin

All my zotac are good.

Don't own evga

but evga  was  the second best rma  ever in my life out of a hundred rmas .

intel was better  they  took four days.

evga was 7 days.

to be fair evga  traveled further.

I never had to return a zotac  they may be bad on returns I do not know.

Oh not to beat a dead horse

but  I sold 500  in coin today
  200 at 2930
  200 at 2850
  100 at 2780

all were coins from my selloff of rx 480 8gbs.

when I sold the gear I was paid in 2100 dollar coin rate to 2450 dollar coin rate.

so  I was able to profit  on the coin sales  and on the  card sales.

To be fair  if you are mining eth at nice hash you boosted  with this also.

 2 molex to a *6* pin PIC-E I would trust, 2 to an 8-pin I would not.

*3* molex to an 8-pin PCI-E would be OK with a GPU.

Oh dear  Sad
Can't transfer BTC from Electrum 1.6.1 anymore.
It's asking me to upgrade to version 2.5.1 but when I went to Electrum website they have 2.8.3 version there.

Can I just go ahead and update it or I'm at risk ?

Thank you

Make sure you have your seed phrase and then upgrade.

With all the updates w.r.t. SegWit2x and UASF, there may be more updates in the near term

Win 7 32bit - started installing but I turned it off in mid process = now I can't start instalation process at all. Restarted PC and nothing is happening.
WIN 7 64bit - installed "ok" (no icon on desktop or any other executable file) entered my seed phrase and it stayed stuck on synchronization so turned it off and now I can't turn it ON again.
Only install from scratch.

No good Sad

Now I'm on my 11th attempt to install Electrum on WIN 7 32 and still nothing.

The standalone or or installer?  You have your seed phrase?  Do you have another machine you can try it from?

Standalone and I have seed phrase.

If I click on instalation file it loads Electrum OK but it is showing some mBTC instead of BTC and it mutliplied my coins by x1000 ?
