The thing I remember about them was the Will Still era. He was doing pretty good at first for a person who didn't have any manager experience before. You know his story related to Football Manager and so on.

But things started to go sideways and he left his job. However it seems like they have put things on the right track again. But they seem horrible in defense. Conceding 10 goals... It can cause them to lose their form easily. Do you think we would see them in top four at the end?

That game isn't going to be tough for Marseille as they have very good record against Montpellier. The season is just beginning so I can't say for sure if Marseille is going to be in the title race but they're playing as a team that wants to win.

They have won 4 times, drawn 2 times and lost 1 time from the 7 matches they have played, in my opinion that is not a bad record, but they should have achieved more than that, especially when facing teams that are on paper weaker than them, one of which was when they faced Angers. They have collected 14 points at the moment, 3 points behind Paris Saint Germain and 5 points behind the leaders, Monaco. I think that is not too far away, as long as they can get 3 points consistently. Marseille has the capital to do that, it's just that they have to execute it well. They also have a long history in Ligue 1, they have to be able to return to how they used to be, that should be a motivation for them.

This season Marseille can still be relied on and are expected to be a title contender because Marseille still has enough strength to make that happen so I also don't think Marseille will have any trouble when playing at Montpellier's home in the upcoming match. Besides that Montpellier themselves are also not strong enough this season and that has been clearly seen when Montpellier were defeated by Reims and now Montpellier are in a very bad position in the Ligue 1 standings.

Yes you are right Marseille seems to have lost their balance lately when they played against Strasbourg they suffered a defeat after that against Angers they only managed a draw even though their opponent was a promoted club with poor performance and was at the bottom of the standings who had not won at all I hope after the international break Marseille can return to being a tough club like in the beginning so they can continue to compete with the top 3 teams and against Montpillier they should have been able to get 3 full points to make up for the previous points lost.

Talking about Lyon is not yet completely stable but I think they are still safe after all they are still far from the relegation zone even though they are unstable the most important thing is that they do not continue to experience defeat which will make them even more depressed. Just before the expectations on Monaco is taken up already, we should know that Lille hasn't been doing any bad this season, as a matter of fact they at some point were a problem to PSG, tho they lost the game and Monaco isn't any better than PSG, so just so you don't get surprised, you should probably keep the expectations down as Monaco do not have very brilliant attack or finishers as much as PSG though their midfield is fair by my judgment but they need better finishing even if they are at the top of the table at the moment staying there long enough will be the next concern as they are just two points away from PSG. I still expect a win from Monaco even with all i have said about them already but Lille shouldn't be underestimated.

Monaco is a team that can beat Lille. But Lille is doing very well this year. They have a good performance in the Champions League. Monaco is also doing very well in both the Champions League and the league. They passed Paris Saint-Germain in the league standings. I don't know how long this success will last, but I think this match could end in a draw. Another possibility is that Monaco could get the three points because they are playing on their home field. I don't think Lille can win.

The results of losing and drawing in the last two matches worsened the situation that at the beginning of the season played consistently and now a little out of control, but Marseille also played badly they were often punished with red cards and yellow cards in every match and I think they are too emotional can not control the game because of the pressure they have to face with violence, I think they need time to recover and the next match away I doubt they can produce 3 full points even though their opponents are below them.

With their richness, except if their club get punishments from UEFA because of financial violations, they will come back in next seasons. Clubs in Ligue 1 like Monaco, Marseille need to take advantage of transition in PSG, to win Ligue 1 in this season.
