I preemptively deleted my account over there. There is no honest discussion just a bunch of ass kissers not asking the right (or any!) questions. The down votes are almost as bad as posting something critical on Reddit. Just ridiculous. They also can't take a fucking joke.

Nut up pussy... We need more people that are vocal about batch 2 or else we may get overlooked!

I was skirting a ban and just felt like my time would be better spent staring at a wall instead of reading all those posts.

Disturbing that they have now (attempted) to make hashlet transfers illegal. Not enough income generated from sales perhaps?

Illegal is probably the wrong word.

Anyhow now the resale market has dried up maybe they will sell more to mug punters.

Uh, no duh the resale market dried up from INDIVIDUALS. They wont transfer them until this Friday when they announce the market/whatever else they are announcing...as been pre-announced essentially.

Oh well,

I already hit my ROI and doubled my initial investment thanks to selling off some of my stuff earlier. Now it's just additional income.

Lucky you...since I bad mouthed gaw on here I'm banned from hashtalk forcing me to hold onto my dudlet's Sad

And looks like the ponzi is getting closer n closer to ending...that is my only guess why they need more n more per hashlet hehe

I guess at this point it would only be safe to buy with cc so you get some sort of protection for alittle bit

Doubt it. GAW would be dumb to do so. They're bringing in a ton of cash, via Credit Cards even. If they turn out to be Ponzi-ing everyone then lots of crap will be coming down legally within the US. Looking at long jailtime if that happens. Really doubt a Ponzi scheme is happening.

You really think he would see jail? An athlete punched his wife n knocked her out on video...is he in jail? Lol this is America...rich ppl don't goto jail if they break the law

The name Bernie Madof (however it's spelled) mean anything to you?

If they change their TOS will that only apply to new purchases? I think he can only ban the sale between members that purchased after the new "rules" or "TOS" are made (he and his team did mention that sales were allowed between members not long ago). I would copy every posting from that site to make sure you have proof if anything does happen.

Depends. ZenMiner TOS looks like this:

I don't think there is anything in it now that allows or forbids private sales but IANAL.

However it does look like a change to the TOS may apply retroactively since you have to agree to it in order to log in to see your already purchased hashlets.

Retrospective changes to TOS that disadvantages the consumer, nah they wouldn't do that. much illegal.

They are trying to reduce sales atm

Are they? The price has increased, private sales banned, cryptic pre-announcement published. Sounds like more sales, not less?

Do you literally not read anything? Its been stated multiple times by Josh in the forum that they froze it to prevent scammers and that the supported marketplace would be released shortly.

Hi all,

I was wondering ? is this legal to forbid the resales of customers account ?? or resales of your hashlets ??

I'm not familiar with the law (is it canadian law ?) but when your buy something, you can sell it second hand if your want (like a car for example)

Most services are allowed to not let you resell accounts. That's why videogames can ban or punish account sharers/resellers.

Are you really that gullible?

Video games can do that because they have a ToS that allows them to and they are not a financial vehicle.  They never sell you anything other than a service, which they can revoke at anytime.

Do you want GAW to revoke your hashlets at any time?

No doubt they will change their ToS soon to say that they are leasing the rights to a Hashlet in perpetuity, but you do not own it.

Yep, not sure what they are doing is legal by having sanctions against someone selling something they purchased.

What bullshit. You. Not GAW. They clearly stated theyre bringing a marketplace for individuals to trade on the site shortly.

And its not illegal. Someone was scammed for 28 BTC. So they stopped trades from happening until they release the supported marketplace.

Sure, not illegal.  Against their "rules."  If you violate that, then they will seize your account.

I agree GAW should have a much better system for trades, but it sure works out for GAW that now people have to pay $20/MH.

Not sure the ponzi arguement is holding much water nowadays... They are trying to reduce sales atm which doesn't jive with ponzi, right?

I find this part especially amusing:

Primes come at an incredible risk to us. You are able to choose any scrypt pool we support. Meaning that there is a possibility that the pool may just skyrocket in payouts, for whatever reason, and you will get the upside of that (like we saw with nicehash)

It wouldn't be any risk at all if you actually mined on said pools, would it? What was the official reason for not doing that? ZenPool is so much better?

Quote
After careful review, we've decided pointing our hashing power to these pools is counterproductive for our goal of promoting stability in this industry. Instead, we will be sending our hashing power to our own private pools, but keeping your payouts 100% based on the pool you select. This effectively gives you access to your favorite pools, but now with nearly perfect uptime.

 Shocked

The fact that people in hashtalk believe this makes me sick. Hashtalk is bringing in the third wave of bitcoiners, the I'll fall for anything investor type.
