As those number approach near 1 ms, we'll begin hitting the usb bus limit per miner.
Those other chip states were part of an earlier attempt to sense per chip health.
The extra details is for the early phase releases and sidehack's burn in testing.

They'll fade further into the debug logs in future builds as they become un-interesing for normal use.

I am seeing 100% reject rate through this pool anyway; kano and others are accepting shares.  Rejection error states "version_bits must be null bec"

Also, has the syntax changed for frequency?  This version seems to always set target at 400, regardless of setting.  Using --gekko-newpac-freq xxx

That's the most recent stable one.  
You'll occasionally see rejects during the first minute of connecting to a pool.
If the pool doesn't stop rejecting, try a different pool to make sure the unit is healthy.

R606s are starting to appear in the wild.   Grin

I am getting all rejected shares when using prohashing.com pool, with and without asicboost enabled.

What is the appropriate/correct version of cgminer to be running with these devices?  I am currently running version (April 26 @ 5c757f5) posted by vh on 4-26-19, here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.50506833

Wait a couple months and they all will be tested in an environment with 40F, because the majority of my shop is not climate-controlled and also is home to 50KW of real miners.

But when I ran one at blistering top-end speed on my ~26C workbench without a case (and therefore no ducting), i had to block the fan to get much above 60C.

I'd pretty much just leave it as-is. Unless you're doing something really stupid, the included fan should both be quiet enough and move adequate air.

Trick with fans is size, its not the only thing but its important. Ceiling fans are among the quietest because they can move good quantity of air spinning slowly. But if your room can accommodate either a 40" ceiling fan and a 52" ceiling fan, the larger one will be quieter to move the same amount of air than the 40" one. Of course this thing doesn't even get hot to begin with so i guess its fine with 80mm. You can typically see those in cheap cases, PC PSUs or cpus.

There is also the design of the blades, the number of blades, etc. Perhaps if you test the unit in a place with 40°C ambient temperature, we could know better how fast they need to be running to keep things in check, or if faster/larger fans would be needed.

re: the ventilator fan, Intereisting bit in the manual (and yes OT but) "This fan utilizes Smart Flow microchip technology that monitors the static pressure in the system and speeds up or slows down the rpm of the fan depending upon the amount of resistance within the ducts. This feature allows the fan to perform as rated and avoid potential installation issues."

So within reason, the CFM you select is what it delivers. Nice touch but no mention of max duct length...

By the way, the sellers with prototype units haven't seen this feature yet because it wasn't implemented by the time their units shipped but if the R606 gets too hot (that is, the internal temp sensor reads 75C or higher) the volt-setting LEDs will blink at you.

As for noise, it's pretty quiet. 80mm 160mA 12V case fan. I don't have a decibel reading but it's quite nonintrusive from more than a couple feet away.

Sound is negligible, quiet as hell and I even mounted a second fan on the back.

I built it with the potential for thermostatic fan control but didn't put it in the firmware because the fan's pretty quiet already so throttling it back wasn't necessary. Also the BM1387 run beautifully when cold and have a pretty high temperature coefficient so even at the bottom end the extra airflow is a benefit.

If someone ever wants to put in a jacked-up fan and have it throttle at low temps it would't take long to change the firmware. Most of the mechanism is already in there. You'd have to re-flash it yourself though, which will require some PIC ISP device.
