There are many altcoins for the long-term. Some of these are EOS, ICX and the most challenging is BNT. BNT is the most stable coin the crypto market. there is no risk for the downfall. Because it will never go down below $2. And, the recent evolved coin is TRON. very low price so, buy now.
ETH doesnt have proof of stake yet i think, but i believe they are working to make it soon.
