Start counting in your mind as that is the only thing that will divert your anger.

Hi! I am a newbie here. I quite struggle about holding my temper and i easily flare up whenever i lost my temper on someone or a certain situation. How do you guys manage yours and stay normal in the midst of pressure? I know it is not ok to just be carried away by our emotions easily specially when the result could be disastrous but what to do?
Yes, we always tell ourselves that in all cases we have to keep calm and solve everything, maybe now I have many problems in life, but I still keep static in all things.

I'm a manager. So I kept calm to deal with the job and it was a way for the staff to enjoy my work and listen to what I said.

I just take deep breathes and say to cool myself down in my mind and try to close or turn my ear deaf towards the quarrel

Why should you? It is said that the world will not be destroyed by evil, it will be by the good people who do nothing to save it.

If you lose your temper for too much, you shouldn't be at this forum. Cryptocurrency isn't the best option for you I suppose

Do we keep the buried anger for days, months, even years? Such anger can be "crusty" into the root of bitterness. I speak to myself while in the same situation and understand that maybe the person is having a difficult situation at a time that causes him to become angry...!!!!

I dont think counting 1-20 will make my bad temper subside. Unless i do it repeatedly, or maybe with singing too

I am a very difficult person to hold my anger, because I am a very sensitive person with a speech that is not good to hear, but I always try to hold anger for good and positive things.

I usually go for a smoke when I feel that I'm losing temper. It is bad for health of course, but it helps  Grin Grin

I used to be like that; it took me some time to control my emotions. I've asked advice from almost everyone I know, as well as those I don't, but they never really worked. Then came a situation where my temper was tested, I just loudly counted 1 to 10, it didn't work, I blocked everything on my thoughts, then relieved happy moments, I also did not try to understand the situation at the time. Then I kept my cool. I didn't say anything. Instead, I politely excused myself from the position then I went out to get some fresh air. That's when I thought about the situation and came up with solutions for it. Overall, that's when I've overcome my anger management issues.

Sometimes the situations are such that you cannot control anger but you must.
