We don't, if were contended on what we have then we won't have internet today as we were contended using snail mails or cars as were contended on horses. Maybe you could, if you renounce knowledge and stop learning new things or go to nepal and devote your life in the ways of monks, not bad at all.

Living in a simple way and aiming not too high will give you peace mind. Don't be too ambitious be contented of whar you have. Trust in the Lord and everything will be fine.

I think it's impossible to be contented on what we have, Because each of us has a daily needs and wants to fulfill for our satisfaction. In reality based on famous richest persons in the world are always maintaining for gaining their income from their business to fulfill their missions and visions. Actually a lot of poorest people in the world are longing  to achieve for happiness. But Jealousy, envy and injustice are the common reasons  that we are not contented.

It is normal for a person not to be contented on what they have. It means you have a big dreams and that motivates you to work really hard just to get what u want. But it should be according to the law of God and law of people, as long as you don't bothered many people.

In our fast-paced, interconnected modern world, it’s hard not to constantly want something new, something better, something faster. Whether it’s your car, your house, or your family, we’re always looking for ways to trade up, always chasing the next best thing. But this cycle of pursuit and temporary satisfaction is never-ending. To free yourself from it, you must eventually become content with what you have. This doesn’t mean you never seek improvements within yourself or your quality of life, but it does mean to stay conscious of how lucky you really are, and finding simple joys in everyday moments. Like example Find joy in simple things, stay mindful, Be generous, express gratitude, Only keep the things you love, practice optimisn.

As I observed myself it looks like I never stop on planning to buy new things that I dont have yet.

Well for me i can be contented by being thankful of what i have, and also appreciating those things in that way i can feel that i have everything already.

In-order to be contented of what we have, we need to accept and be satisfied of what belongings that we acquired. We will not compare ourselves to others because if you do so, it is just like that you insulting yourself. Be always comfortable of what you have in your life so that you will live happy and have a peace of mind always.

I have never been satisfied with what I have. I need more than that. I want more money for the bank, I want more houses, etc. For the greed of a human being has never been full. I always plan for the future. I look forward to it and achieve. But I'm not satisfied. And I keep trying to get more. That's my personality. I am always greedy. Nothing satisfies me.
