Personally, I think that now is not the best time to invest in ICO projects, because projects are very difficult to raise funds under such market conditions, and the new (most) tokens that appear on the exchange are sold well below the price that was at the ICO

There are tons of risky when buying in 2018 because most of people know about true value of ico tokens. Most of ico tokens have lower price when ico and the reason for that is the market start to care about the project and effect to the crowd. So you should really careful when buying ico token now, you should consider to hold Eth for long term.

Its be good for you if you separate it. maybe 50% for ICO and 50% for Token which is listing in top exchange.
In Ico, you will get a more token cause they give you bonus before you buy it after finish ico, and its take a more time for the token to be a good Token (your profit more slow than your invest)

in Invest you will be learn who the best token and improve your analysis. Be a good trading make your profit better. so its your choice

I agree with others - if 5ETH is your total "crypto basket," then I would definitely not put it all into ICOs unless you have the majority of your wealth in other, much more secure assets. Honestly, if it were me, I would skip any ICOs and look for an already-live project that is being used today.

The ICO market is weakening, so I think you'd be safer with an actual livenet coin.

You can't actually trust this bear market ico, i have come to discover that many new ico trade under price which they were sold when listed on exchange. Here is my advise for you, allow token or coin you know it has unique prospect to list on exchange then buy cheap tokens there and wait for your profit.

I can only give you advice, not a list since this was posted months ago, invest on an ICO that has a working platform and their company has been online for more than two years and be sure that the people behind it are indeed real with real expertise to their names, they have a reputation to protect.

You can try to do it by yourself. There are many materials how to do it. There is no any universal way for it, but first of all as it was motioned above you can learn ICO ratings, but you should know that these rating often ratings may be fake. That's why learn whitepaper of every ICO, try to understand what problem can solve technology or product is offered by the team. Also very important to learn information about team members, their experience and beta codes of the product, if it is possible of course.
