well you just have 2 options, sell and cut your loss or hold and hope for the next alt season. imo you should hold, i already fomoed into a few coins at the top and lost a lot, but most of the time it recovered after a few months and made me gains (or not because i sold to early)

Before doing anything you should always be knowledgeable enough of what you are going to step in. Know every information first because scams are very prone nowadays, but taking risk is always present especially in this field. It is your decision whether to dig in or dig out. But piece of advice think first, risk for your own good and not for the worse.

At this point, just keep your money for a long time. I myself, if I look at investments, lost a lot in dollars, but by the number of coins, everything has remained before, just waiting for growth

I earned a lot of tokens though hard-work and patience that's is why I am being a Hodler because I do not want to lose some of it but it depends on the market.
Holding our crypto assets will prevent them on losing and at the same time we are still doing the signature and other bounty campaigns so that we will soon get bounty stake tokens as rewards and our crypto assets will be have a higher value from time to time.
I really not into investing into ICOs and other Altcoins because I had decided to hold them still until that day comes that I will all sell them to fund my personal projects.

Well, that's unfortunate but the important is you learned the lesson. Should be all of us going hard ways before getting and earning money through crypto market.
Investing altcoins isn't and easy way, there should be more factors to be considered like spending more time to research about the Altcoin if it has the potential to rise and everything regarding and Altcoin related stuff should be checked before hitting selling some of your Crypto Assets and buy some others.
You had learned a bad experience so that should help you earning them back in the future.

So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?

Better you hold and do not fall in excessive regret, be patient because everything will improve again. Keep your heart strong, believe me all will soon improve and increase again its value.

Keep in mind that you are not alone. Many of us make the same mistakes as you. You do not have to regret any of that. What the city needs to do is make that mistake a valuable experience and lesson. Right now, you just have to hold it all until the price gets better.

The loss will be when you sell the coins. While the coins are in your wallet, you can wait for the best price. Most likely that you will get a profit in the future

Unfortunately fluctuations on the market of cryptocurrencies make investments and trading in this area very risky. Therefore I always try to choose such currencies that I know well and those price is the most stable.

Picking the wrong coins is a common mistake, it happens all the time. When buying at the top it is a huge risk, when a coin has pumped just assumed you have missed the boat and pick something that hasn't pumped yet. Small market cap coins with good products are a good buy, xspec / deeponion will be big this year. A safer bet will be NEO which most people on this forum is agreeing to i.e. NEO will pump big in 2018

You don't loose anything while You don't fix those loss. Wait for a better time to sell or better buy even more, if You are sure in those coins. Imagine, if You sell it now and tomorrow will be Moon? It will be like a double loss, I think. Never give up.

You have two options: One of them is holding the coins and wait until they rise back. They will rise for sure but it may take some time. Second choice is selling them and compensate your loss with day trading.

Well, you have not lost anything yet. Simply lowering the rate of your coins does not mean a loss. The loss will only happen if you make a rash act and do not start selling your coins at the currently low price. It is necessary to calm down and just watch the market and expect its next revival. And he will soon come. The impetus for this is the released new version of Bitcoin 0.16.0, which fully supports SegWit and which should eliminate the shortcomings in it, and therefore bitcoin should soon recover and begin to grow in price. Almost all coins after this will also begin to rise, including yours. Wait is not long.

Market have been crazy over the last few months so the best thing to do is to hold and wait until values completely recovers from the dip. If you still have the financial capacity to purchase some coins and take advantage of the low prices, it would also be a good thing to do but choose the coins you will buy carefully.

Just wait and hodl it. It will recover but it takes time because there are a lots of bad events happen in the past months. Just take this at  your learning experience in investing in crypto currency. Because there are times that the coin will high or low. Also, you can buy more at low price and don't invest a lot of money if you are scared to lose.  Just invest money which you think it's fine to lose.

FOMO is quite bad in crypto and gets one rekt. But it's good you made this mistake earlier enough and it's even more better you saw right through it, reasons being despite the fact your capital is 50% gone by now, but this experience will help shape your trading subsequently. Just move on and improve avoid FOMO by all means possible, take profits as when they come don't get too excited . One always gets caught up in too much excitement. Better luck next time.

Almost all of the traders experience that, there are worst than your experience others had a little loss. If you can make a profit before, it means you can do it again. But this time do your own research and know the season of this market. If you do some research, you will see a pattern and you could take the opportunity and gain what you loss.

There is nothing terrible in losses when the market falls, next time I think I just do not need to sell but just sit and watch. Wink
