If I die nothing will happen my coins. They will stay on the blockchain, just like they have always been and always will be. Same as your coins and every other of those 21 million Bitcoins.
Dont you have plans to save all your important files on a flash drive and place it somewhere safe,
leave a letter to your family that can be open or will be open once you die? just for the sake of your loved ones why don't you make them have your coins when you die? better they have it than rest it on blockchain forever.

Hi there

I have been thinking about this for a while and I have seen the same question in the Spanish thread. So, if you die do you have a plan to give you currencies to your relatives?

This is mu strategy: I have copied the paper wallets in a usb key, compressed with a password. The usb key contains a file with the instructions to guess the password (you have to know me in person). This usb has been put in my house, in the drawer, with some clothes. So if anything happens suddenly to me, I hope that my family, one day, will remove my clothes off and the usb will appear.    If the follow the instructions the will keep all the money.

Any other ideas?
They will still exist there if someone gets my password. they will get it

If I die soon, maybe it would be better to let any member of your family to know your treasure in bitcoin. Perhaps they gonna continue what you have started or just cash it out and say thank you to bicoin. The only important thing there is to save the bitcoin. Opinion only. :-D

I think the best solution for that is, adding the necessary informations to the testament. I don't think there is a better way.

You should leave instructions on how to get your assets in a safe and give the combination to the person that is handling your will.
Also, it's better to describe what they can do with these assets, because there might be a chance that they can't withdraw or buy with them.

The best option in my opinion is to instruct the notary, or the lawyer, to keep the assets secure and untouched for like 5-10 years, which means that the funds will be tenfold at least.

Another thing I considered when I was thinking about this is that if your kids receive say a 100k inheritance they might waste it in two months, because they may not be responsible enough. So, what I would do is instruct the notary to give my money to the hiers only when they are either married with kids or they're ready to invest them properly.

Everything I do, I do with the intent that everything goes through my wife to my grandson.  My son is onboard with this so there are no issues with this.  To that end, I have multiple copies of my information, and my family is knowledgeable in how to retrieve the information.

I'm gonna give to whom ever is closest to me that understand crypto-currencies. For instance, my elder brother introduced the crypto-world to me therefore he's gonna get them all.
For better way, since now we should give a private key to our families, when we're die then the family can access it.
