Hi there

I have been thinking about this for a while and I have seen the same question in the Spanish thread. So, if you die do you have a plan to give you currencies to your relatives?

This is mu strategy: I have copied the paper wallets in a usb key, compressed with a password. The usb key contains a file with the instructions to guess the password (you have to know me in person). This usb has been put in my house, in the drawer, with some clothes. So if anything happens suddenly to me, I hope that my family, one day, will remove my clothes off and the usb will appear.    If the follow the instructions the will keep all the money.

Any other ideas?
Very simple : coin owner is the private key owner.
No taxes to give yours privates keyx to the person you want : in your family... or not.
That is freedom, even after your death :-).
If I think it's better to say to the closest relatives like to my wife, father, mother and even child all the keys or passwords and keywords, than later when we die they wonder about everything, we better inform everything first before death comes .  Cry

If you don’t share private keys with anybody, it’s still there. If you want your family to use them try sharing the information.

I let my cryptodata in a safe place, with other valuable info about my assets.
Of course nothing human is 100%, but I think that is enough.

Every Satoshi goes to my family. Hopefully my daughter will then be old enough to handle the millions when I die in 2020  Grin

I think if i die , i will convert bitcoin into money and give my relatives because my family don't use bitcoin . If your relatives use bitcoin , you can do that but it's quite risky

I would say it just as with fiat money. However instead of someone being able to find it physically you will have to leave them the private key or they will not be able to recover your coins.

I suppose your coins will be frozen if there won't be anybody who know your private key. Technically it means that coin supply will be reduced = price will grow.

You can store your private key in Cloud services like Dropbox or GD and write your account information on a paper and store it somewhere in bank locker, encrypt (ex. MD5) your password with an answer of question that you're sure who you want to share the data with knows. Write a will and let that person knows about your will and the private key and ask them to answer the question decrypt it and they have the password.

Of course it will be useless, then we have to trust someone to know our account password, so if we die there are people who continue it ...

I've been thinking about this too. I usually have the keys of my coins in a safe place in my house. If anything were to happen to me I would hope my family would look at it and inherit whatever is left. Now I think about it, I should probably add instructions on how to use it now I think about it. I suggest people should share doing Bitcoin to a family or friend so that if an accident or something bad happens, someone can continue with what you have started. Especially the accounts that ranked up to Hero or Legendary. Share your knowledge about Bitcoin with someone close to you so that your Bitcoin will be safe in case something happens and you'll feel good because you know that it would be a blessing to the person you entrusted it.

My family has all of the information to get to the crypto's if something should happen to me.  So, there's at least some crypto's that won't be lost forever, they will live on through my family!    Cheesy
