To be honest, $500 is quite small. I think you can't buy ETH or Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash. In my view, you can choose Ripple. That's really a great coin to invest. Search Google to get more information about it.

I would still buy bitcoins and hold them for 6 months or so, maybe a year. Look what happened last year the price was $500 per BTC a year later x10 increase. There's no other way such as Alts beating the main cryptocurrency. If we have $ as the currency being used worldwide and mainly businesses around the world. Then we have BTC. I know there will be rise and fall but you'll see the massive increase like what happened before.
i would recommend to invest into jaynemesis at etoro. he's are real pro concerning altcoins. you can't make a mistake investing in him.

I would surely invest all the $500 in bitcoin because i trust it and it has already given me a great profit from the last investments i will buy BTC of $500 and hold them for a year and also invest it in some other work and than in some time I will get atleast double profit and this would be the best investment one can do. Monero and BTC. You do not need anything else than that at the moment
I would diversify it in Bitcoin, altcoins and ICOs. 50% in the bitcoin because you never know what may happen to the price and may shoot up to the mars or more. Altcoins and ICOs which has good community and support.
If you got 500 dollars, buy some ripple or monero now. And sell them at the weekend.

I would invest it in a small market cap coin with big potential. XtraBytes and POSW coin both are under 10 million market cap and have been developing some real innovating stuff. Of coarse there are more options out there I just feel these 2 will be really REALLY big.

I would still go with btc. It's just hard to get a good buy opportunity because it's very expensive now and only FUD will bring its price down again and who knows will it happen again. So if the buying chance is not possible for now then I would switch to raiblocks which is always going up and down.

if i have 500 dollar i will never all of 500 dollar invest in bitcoin i will just invest in 500 dollar just 300$ in bitcoin for trade because the bitcoin price go more increase and more decrease and it will give you more profit and the remaining 200$ will invest in ETH and WAVES because it is for long term investment and the ETH and WAVES have bright future.

No, it is really bad choice if you want to buy Bitcoin at current price. Now, buying altcoins or wait the price of altcoins down more, you will have many chances to buy potential altcoins with cheapest price
Of course any good potential alt coin deserves your 500 dollars
