It's just another phenomenon that gamblers often assumes that they have some control over the outcome of their bets especially if they have been doing it for a while even though every time is just purely random there's no skill involved. Take dice for an example we might assume that we can control and influence the result of it by throwing softer or harder or in anyway that our brain recognize a pattern and keep tells us it's a way to win the game. So let's discuss about it.
Anything that has to do with gambling and gamblers being in control of the out come of their games or bets is pure deception, and I don't know if anyone else have mentioned this before, but it might interest us to know that in terms of gambling, the only thing the gambler have control over is the amount of money they choose to bet on each round of the game, and as well as the "spin" or "play" button.
They have control of the amount of money they can choose to bet because casinos usually allow even small bets of as low as $0.1 dollar cents on some games or even lower for other games, so, it is up to the gambler to choose how much he or she is willing to risk on each spin or round.
And talking about the spin or play button, a gambler even after having entered the amount of money he or she choose to bet on each spin or round of the game still may not make up his or her mind to hit that spin or play button, he or she can change his or her mind, and if and when he or she does, the casino cannot force him or her to hit the button.
But then, once this two are out of the way, the outcome of the game is completely out of the gamblers control, that is, the gambler can no longer decide the out come of his game even with his own strategies.
