Add that to the superstitions that some people have, and the illusion only grows stronger and more in control of that person.

It is important to stay grounded, especially during high emotional events like gambling.

And it's really hard to phantom this, I mean we all thought that we are in control when we gamble, but the fact is that we don't know if we are losing or winning because we don't take note of that, shows that we are not in control and everything that we might think is only just an illusion.

Funny though is that I have a small talk with a senior guy and he also says this kind of illusion of control. So I guess he has been gambling for years already that he knows what kind of control gambling has in our system and again, when we thought that we are in control, as he says, is very wrong mindset in the beginning and we should snap out of it.

I am one of those people who have lost a lot of money gambling. To tell the truth, I had no brakes whatsoever. I lost all the money I had on hand. I played until the last penny. That's how gambling I was. It's good that I managed to rethink all this and stop in time. But I still had to deal with the consequences for several years. I had to pay off my debts. Winnings in gambling is by luck, not because the gambler is very smart or that he has a winning strategy, even sports bets that requires some knowledge about individuals or teams to bet on can still be lost despite your knowledge. Any gambler that thinks that they are in total control of their gambling, the overconfidence can make them to lose all their money, so the ideas are just illusions. What works for you today in gambling can fail you tomorrow, that shows that there is no perfect strategy to win in gambling. Illusion for me in this regards has more to do with players expectations, I can remember making those commands in dice game and most times it works perfectly well as assumed or expected, and this assumption or expectations is what shows how much of our interest in the game, surely there is no skill in that the reason why it doesn't work all the times irrespective of how much we attempt to control or maintain pattern we are comfortable with to achieve the desired result, trust me there is nothing of such as a gambler assuming to have a control over the outcomes of their games it works with luck.
