For long term investment, ethereum will be a better choice over bitcoin. Bitcoin has already established its value and almost playing between $3,000 and $5,000 in the last few months. That will give trouble to people who would like to buy but doesn't have much money.

Ethereum, on the other hand, has cheaper price compared to bitcoin, and is playing between $300 to $450 in the last few months. In fact, it is in its lowest price this week at $294. Another thing is that ethereum price can jump at a snap of a finger (well, this is something figurative). If you are looking for a long-term investment and want to buy coins, ethereum will be the ideal one.

Both coin are deserve of our investment they will give us back when time comes, ethereum is more increasing its value, while bitcoin is its stable but still running up its value, if have enough money to invest I choose both of them.

Bitcoin has a huge potential in long term investment ,its value is always increasing and I think bitcoin will be stable for a long period of time we can trust bitcoin though so many years it has been proof that it is the only cryptocurrency that strong hold for our investments.

If you think long term, both coins have advantages and disadvantages.
Bitcoin has no road map whatsoever, and soon enough our planet will not be able to produce enough energy for mining. It means hard forks and conflicts between developers, and more hard forks.
An advantage is the user base, of course.

In the meantime, Ethereum has a very strong leadership (Vitalik). This is a plus.
He looks like a victim of a concentration camp though, and this is a minus: what if something happens.
Ethereum switches to POS and it means saving energy. It also is going to be thousands times faster.
However, a single leader is not necessarily good: Vitalik mentioned "burning" coins, and he can push this idea through.
Also, Ethereum does not have limits like Bitcoin does: it is not trully deflational, so it can drop in price.

Investing in Ethereum is more reasonable than investing in Bitcoin. Because everybody knows it's faster. Continuous operation of Ethereum's developer team makes a big difference to Bitcoin.

If you have enough two for it, I think it is not a bad decision that buying ethereum and also bitcoin. I think they are the strongest coins of the cryptocurrency world.
