Anytime can be a good time to invest. While true that there are a lot of scams, they have been around long enough even before when the cryptocurrencies have become popular. The only way to stay safe is to search a lot about them before really investing. It's hard to choose one that succeeds because if the good ICOs fail. The success depends much on the Teams efforts to make their projects popular among investors.

IMHO now a good time to take part in a good ICO. PRice of ETH and BTC is low and in few weeks/months it will cost higher to participate ICOs. But it is still very risky to come in Crypto now) But without risk there is no profit in crypto)

I've been searching for ICOs for a few days and there seems to be many cases of scams and hacks which kinda scares me. Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? The first one I looked at was Mossland's Whitepaper and they seemed good with solid community. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Any suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!
There is no bad time to invest in ICO for me, all always good. But the problem is, there are good and bad ICO's.
You need to know well what is the ICO that you want to participate. If you don't do observe before, you can get scammed.
You can't be too cautious while choosing ICO to invest, especially at this moment.

A year ago was a decent year for ICO's. Presently Hardly we locate a typical quality ICO. Since as much as time goes hard to discover new thought and a decent group. A large portion of the great groups as of now began their coin and now they dealing with it. You better can scan for underestimated coins. Or on the other hand you can check Omnitude ICO. It's pleasant one.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.
The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.
The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

The best time to invest in any ICO is when you have decided on the project beforehand. There are many altcoins that have already increased in value, it is advised to invest in ICO platforms that have good projects instead of altcoins without reasonable outcome.
I would never pick ICO over well-known coin or altcoin on the market to invest my money into. Too risky for me. The only way of me actually investing in some ICO is when I know personally the team behind it.

I think it's always a good time to invest in ICOs, they are cheap. they are upgraded and all you need is research.In my opinion, Liven is a fine example, Ubex and Treon got a good hype as well. I'm sure this will help you in studying these. I go for projects like LVN, that has an already established platform, they are targeting many industries in the future but restaurants and food for now.
Yes, this year is a year of ICOs so you should find a good ICO to invest but remember stay away from the lending project (MLM ICOs). With the fallen of BCC, they're all turning into scam projects right now.

I think ICO is always the best choice if you analyze it carefully. Most investors just follow what other people do without any effort. This causes them to commit fraud and they also blame the legitimate ICO. That's in my opinion.
Any time is better to invest in ico"s but you need to have check each and everything about it I mean the team and road map
Opportunities are great right now, but also - you need to consider, that with time it occures to be more and more difficult to find a worthy ICO to invest in and not get into a scam project!
