I think that now is a very bad situation for investing, because now it is not at all clear what will happen to Bitcoin and in general with the crypto-currency market, so probably many projects can not even type softcap

I've been searching for ICOs for a few days and there seems to be many cases of scams and hacks which kinda scares me. Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? The first one I looked at was Mossland's Whitepaper and they seemed good with solid community. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Any suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!
YES! because all  altcoin's prices is down. so' I suggest you have to invest in these altcoin's:

These will you profit

(ETH, NEM, NEO & EOS)

Now there is a period of silence and a hard time for investors. 99% of ICO are unable to collect the hard cap. I think we should wait 3-4 months for the market to stabilize.

Investors need to understand how to distinguish a good project from bad or fraudulent. This is far from an exhaustive list of risks that should be taken into account when assessing it: investing in weak ideas and weak teams, transferring money to fraudsters, stealing money from wallets by intruders after the ICO, changing the technological or legal situation, as a result of which the project ceases to be relevant in the development process , the drop in the value of the token after entering the exchange as a result of the sale of shares, the toughening of the regulation of the turnover of the tokens and the impossibility of their transfer into real money (in cryptoworld they say "transfer to Fiat" ).

no, this is a frightening moment for investors to invest their capital in an ICO, because currently there are so many ICOs that fail

of course if you want to start an ICO project then you should see good feedback from others and be a little more careful in choosing some ICO projects so as not to disappoint in the future.

You can invest in ICO's, just watch out for the following (non-exhaustive)
- Do they mention future profits on the website ? (buy now, profit$$ later) => most likely a scam
- Look at the team, look at the linkedin profiles. Do they seem competent? Do they have legit work experience? Does that experience add value to the project?
- Is the team sufficient? If their poject is world changing and there are three people on the team, probably a scam
- Does it offer a solution to an actual problem? Or does it at least add some value? That alone will eliminate a lot of ICOs

hat is a good thing to invest in some of ICO's just pick that you'll see it will click, and then invest to that project, more ICO's project now is so successful. or maybe, buy Ethereum or Bitcoin for investment, that is a good thing also. Both thing is good to invest try to invest in both situation and you will see the result if it.

Its never a bad time to invest in an ICO, ICOs come in all shapes and all that really matters is what they have to offer. Good ICOs with good projects will offer great returns any day when they mature, while bad ICOs will fail and fade , doesn't matter the timing of the investment

Statistics show that 90% of ISO eventually turns out to be a scam. Therefore, I do not risk investing in such projects. It is better to take part in the bounty campaign, at least not lose your money.

You never have 100% on ICOs, even the ones with fully legitimate companies and sound investors tend to do whatever they like once they got your money in their hands.

I agree with you because it is still included at the beginning of the year and the price is still low so it is good to start investing before entering the middle of the year the price starts to rise again.

Probably not because often ICOs has a large bonus for early investors so as soon as it goes on an exchange the price goes down to return the investment on ethereum asset. It' s a way to "protect" the capital
Yes, I have seen many such ICO. But no one forces you to invest in ICO with a big bonus in the initial stages. You can choose a project with adequate bonuses. Or it is even better to choose a good project and invest in it at the initial stage.

I think it is best for a newbie like you to just put your investment in a certain coin or coins that are already trusted by so many people. And the top two in terms of trust and security as well as in terms of growth are Bitcoin and Ethereum. In the first place, ICOs are always a risky investment. If you are not yet very familiar on the particular ways here in the world of crypto, you might end up with a scam ICO. There are already a lot of complaints around here. Do not be one of them.

Eth has fallen to 457 US dollars, now I do not participate in any ico, because I know ico transactions will fall 50% -90%, Bitcoin fell to 6000 US dollars I will continue to buy, eth fell to 380 US dollars I will buy, Buying price is relatively suitable

Probable yeah . Take a look into Red Lanterns ICO. Red Lanterns (RL service) is a dynamically developing platform that about one year exists on the market of sexual education. Now it goes to ICO with the purpose of rising money for product development, creating of the community around the project, extending the amount of app and project members.
