Always I tell many people and colleagues that will be first time going to do crypto, I tell them that if they plan to invest and hold then they should have the patience and the right mental stability not to lose patience when waiting for long time for his crypto to work or rise in value.
Beginners should focus on learning, rather than blindly investing in situations where they don't understand. When you don't understand the market, you may invest a lot of money at the wrong time. Long-term holding will only make you lose money.
I think that the best coin in 2018 is Ethereum. The technology of Ethereum is very powerful. Many platforms use Ethereum technology, and as a newbie, there is no particular risk in holding Ethereum for a long time. Suitable for you to invest heavily
this year is bear market running for a months, i think top 10 altcoins is gonna rise in the same time in a bullrun. so, i prefer top 10 altcoins to fill your bag

I think the best coin of the year is eth though the price of it is quite low. It can reach a high price when the bull market comes. We can hold them for long term and it will also be the best coin of the year.
Anyone can do long term, even they are beginners or not, its all depends in their own if they want to invest for long term or not, But for my own opinion, its much better for beginners to invest in long term since they have not enough knowledge on it.

I cant suggest a coin for now. All I can say is that you better research and decide what to hold for long time. Lots of coins in the market but hard for me to choose since am just new here. Just do your research and decide.
My favorite altcoins for 2018 are new and pespective like Seele, Sparkster, Pchain, Matrix, Libra Credit and Egretia. Just buy and hodl it or you will be sorry

Actually they have so many a longterm coins that you can hold and earn some profit for it.But ill suggest to choose to those altcoins in the top 20 in the market because some of them are trusted and longterm altcoins.
Yes, in 2018, the market is all in a down state. If you want to invest, I suggest you choose the lowest value of the coin to invest, so that you can buy a larger number of coins, and the cost is the lowest.
Well for me i think bitcoin remains the most preferred coin for a long term hold, so if i am going to suggest for anyone, I will always suggest bitcoin because of the more adoption it has generate over the years
Yeah that's what I suggest. when you want to invest long term it is better to prioritize bitcoin. because the risk of long-term investment in the altcoin will be more risky. especially if you buy coins that are not in the top marketcap it will be very risky
hard to say .Hmm for a beginner i would put money in coins where u can earn a passive income such as KuCoin Shares Coin and Binance Coin .U just have to trust the exchanges wont shut down or steal from u however.
buy some NANO, XRP and IOS and this is good for the long term. for the portion of the portfolio, you can decide for yourself, but if I do that I will buy NANO with a 40% portion and the rest for the next 2 coins
In my own perspective, it is possible because we are all have the capability. The coins I suggesting you are. Ethereum, NEO, Litecoin, EOS but it depends on you. Its better to decide on your own, you should only use opinions here as a basis for you to make a decision correctly.

I always give this suggestions and Always advice people to do their own research about any project I recommend before investing their hard earned money. These are some Altcoin I urge people to buy; Tavelflex Coin, eChat, Earth Token, Paymon, etc.
Before decide to hold altcoins, i think the more important thing is to predict and to decide when best times to start to hold it and when to sell it because we can see now many altcoin back to the price in the beginning 2017. For now is best to start to hold altcoin, some of the my choice of altcoin is ADA, NEO, XLM, NEM, MONERO, DASH, XRP. all of them has potential to going up to 10 times in 2019.

Your holding altcoins are definitely good for long term investment, and most of them I also currently hold like Ethereum Litecoin Neo Ripple and Cardano. And yes you have a point don't just put your money in a coin, before that you should do a research.
Yes. That's our way to avoid those scam and also to avoid losing our money. Some people lose their money because they are just invested on it without knowing about the coin. We should research always to avoid those scam.
I think everybody can do long term hold, it doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a proficient market participant, just develop your own portfolio.
There's no exception on who can hold and who can't. Everyone is liable to do their plan of long term holding whether with altcoins or bitcoin. As long as you have sufficient money to invest in to crypto's and your plan is just buy and forget that coin then you are doing it as a long term regardless of being new or not to this market.
I think that the nature of being a rookie makes people impatient, so they have to have a lot of self-control, in order to avoid selling at the first dump, I still think ETH has a lot to offer, especially at this price that is criminally undervalued, so take advantage so you can make a good portfolio.
