Yes, why not. A beginner can do all he wants but just has to be smart in the actions. If we look at coins like PRG, ICX and LISK, then these are some great coins which a beginner can hold easily.

I'll suggest to you that Privcy is a great coin to hold. It is a privacy coin that has just recently launched (they are still in the airdrop phase). There isn't a large group of whales because they didn't do an ICO so it is more fairly distributed. The whitepaper is due to come out soon and the roadmap is packed full of objectives (which they have been hitting along the way). The community is great and I really think this coin is going to explode in price once the market bounces back. Disclaimer: I participated in all of the airdrops so far and have invested BTC into this project but that should be a given if I really believe what I said.

Altcoins certainly don't look like the strongest picks right now, they are gradually losing steam against Bitcoin as people move their money into the more stable markets.

However if you really want to get into altcoin investing, try to stick with coins in the top 50-100 by market capitalization, you can definitely find some gems in there that have potential to multiply 2-5x in value over the coming months.

Some of the ones I would recommend is IOTA, NEM and Monero, these are all wildly undervalued and can easily multiply relatively quickly if they are adopted for their tech.

So they have to have a lot of self-control, in order to avoid selling at the first dump, I still think ETH has a lot to offer, especially at this price that is criminally undervalued, so take advantage so you can make a good portfolio.

there are many choices for now, you can buy bitcoin as the first choice investment or for the top 10 altcoins.
so, you should research it and try to analyze the market. but I don't think that this year there will be a good enough movement in terms of growth. I think maybe early next year the market will start pumping

This altcoins are my currently hold for long term and I advise you should make a research before invest, don't just make decisions on what do you heard the other people.

These well-known altcoins are always good for long-term investment and they are safe too, but another thing you can do is to invest a portion of your fund into some cheap altcoins, who knows some of these can make x50 or x100 in future.

It is possible for beginners to make a long-term strategy to hold altcoins in possession. As long as you know all the risks that will occur when the price is not in accordance with our expectations. A good Altcoin to hold in my opinion is NEO, ETH, and other tokens that currently exist like TRX.

There are many of them but to be selective I suggest that the most with potentials are CARDANO, NEO , VERGE ,TRAXIA ,EOS ,OMISEGO ,TRON ETC.

Yes of course it is possible. Do you think newbie cannot holding altcoin for longterm ?
They can buy and then forget it. Years later when they come back, the altcoin price already gone high.
