actually, yes, bitcoin is a benchmark for pricing all altcoins, including ethereum, so that bitcoin has also decreased, altcoin will also experience price reductions and so will increase

Most people have the mindset that the price of ethereum rises with bitcoin and vice versa. How true is this?
In the previous years, many people believe that ethereum  was dependent with the market value of Bitcoin such as whenever the price of btc is falling, same thing happens with the value of eth. But since the market value of most cryptos continuously fell making the proportionality not observable nowadays. So I think, it is no longer present.

I think the price of Ethereum really depends on Bitcoin. Not only the price of Ethereum, but the price of all cryptocurrencies is dependent on Bitcoin. I don't need to be surprised. Bitcoin is the leader of all currencies.

Yes, brother, the whole crypto market depends on Bitcoin, and Ethereum as well. Probably, the time, when this altcoin will be more independent will come soon but we do not know still when it can happen.

Yes, last year and a few months ago the price of ethereum dependent on bitcoin but now we are in a little different situation. Because altcoins fall when bitcoin rises and altcoins fall when bitcoin falls now.

based on the factual history, yes. it is possible for Etherium to be dependent on Bitcoin. Actually, most Altcoins nowadays are related to bitcoin interms of function and description. when two same things are on sale, thoe one who is higher will be the one who is more sophisticated.

At the very beginning of the emergence of a new cryptocurrency, the dependence on Bitcoin prices is always strong. But with the growing popularity of Etherium, this relationship is less and less (the same trend is observed with other currencies).

All cryptocurrencies are connected with Bitcoin.
But Bitcoin can grow without alticons(as it is now)
Usually if Bitcoin grows then all grows and we will see that in a few months

I believe the price of the ethereum is not dependent on the bitcoin because don’t you see they are different to each other in terms of fame and quality of service towards to their investors or what.

I think yes.  All of the price of altcoin depend on bitcoin because bitcoin is the king of coin and the first digital coin. And we see now when bitcoin down Ethereum is down too. And when bitcoin up ethereum is up too.

Capitalization of the entire market depends on bitcoin. I think that this is not right and we need something to do with it.

This used to be the case. The price of all cryptocurrencies is dependent on bitcoin, but in the near term it seems to have changed. Bitcoin has risen 10% in the past, but other cryptocurrencies have not risen much, so this is Doesn't mean that this market is changing.

Bitcoin have more year history than etherium he is a king and when king is falling other too, etherium just alcoin. As I understand ETH is a smaller economy inside BTC economy, that is why ETH price is tightly related to BTC.

Ethereum depends highly on the movements of bitcoin. Unfortunately, full autonomy has neither a cryptocurrency. At different moments of time it is manifested in different ways.

Yes, your question is very good. Many newcomers believe that Ethereum can surpass Bitcoin. But in fact, Ethereum is relying on bitcoin. All cryptocurrencies rely on bitcoin.

Simple answer to the question is YES, but if you dig a little deeper then you will find that dependency pretty much extend across the board with all crypto. Until Bitcoin can shake off the current depression then Ethereum will continue to languish around the yearly lows unfortunately.

Looking at the current price of both bitcoin and ethereum, I do not think that argument holds. Recently we saw significant rise in bitcoin price but unfortunately ethereum was still stagnant and even dropping so I do not see the linkage

All the altcoins prices are dependent on bitcoins. Ethereum does rises but after the Bitcoin rises and I think it's the best coin that can be really useful for all the people.

yes, this will including with ethereum which adjust the price with bitcoin price. but sometimes, ethereum price increases although the bitcoin price is down and we already see this before. but in the end, ethereum with the other coin will depend on bitcoin price so whenever bitcoin price will go, the other coins will follow. and right now, bitcoin price is down and this makes the other coins are down too but there will be a good moment for the ethereum to increase higher again, so you need to wait for the price.
