I do not think so that altcoins going to be dead and that too so soon. There are so many alts which will be adopted in real world and these will be used in many ways. Some of these that I personally hold are ripple, bitcoin cash, litecoin, ethereum, ziliqa, ontology. The list is long and we will see many new added to it.
If you still know from what tokens you can expect good growth, it would be generally good. Many tokens from which expected growth, in the end, did not show anything. The prospects are hazy. ETH is disappointing at the moment.
The situation is not happy, but it is not the end. There are many altcoins who have great projects behind them, who have a future. I think this is a good time to buy promising altcoins.

I don't think that alt coins will be dead now. Prices are bit low now but it will be settled soon.
