At the begining I did just short term trading I thought its more profitable but after some weeks I understand that I was wrong. But now 70% of my protfolio is for short term and daily trading other 30% for long term.

Both are good depending how much you are willing to invest. If you have big money you might wanna invest in btc or eth or other coins that has already a solid base. However i like short term with the rise of Ico s if you invest on tokens, you might get profit in the best delays.

I think if u do combination with Long term and Short term it ll give bigger profit than if u use just one strategy, I use both and I have bigger profit than before, before I used to just short term.

At me 90 percent of investments are made for long term, from one year. I believe that this is the most optimal investment option. The remaining 10 percent of the investment I have for a short time, sometimes it makes sense.

What I put in my portfolio is always a long-term (project i am trusting), then what I put into my wallet for a short time!)

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

Cryptocurrency is too unpredictable and volatile to work for a short time. I prefer to buy all the coins for a long time. Especially interesting coins with POS - they can have passive income.

I believe that there should not be a tough strategy on this, you need to navigate the current situation and change your vision every day

Long term - Bitcoin and Ethereum. Both are perfect assets.
Short term - altcoins like Ripple, Cardano and IOTA that are good for trading and buying something.

I agree to that, this coins are really profitable. I like ethereum the most since it was already battle tested and the value of this coin does really have the potential to grow unlike other coins like monero or zcash that is stucked on 500$. Ripple is also good for those new traders or new investors because you can earn a huge amount of profit when there's a hype in the market.

I am more on investing for Long term since I do not have yet enough idea or knowledge for short investment. So I usually hold my coins for about at least one year. That is why I invest only to those I have a full trust or I am confident that it has potential.

I keep half my coins. I hope to get a good profit by the end of this year. But I use half of my deposit on the stock exchange every day. Of course, new and promising coins must be kept for a certain time. But this process is not very interesting, although sometimes it is very good. I think the strategy 50/50 will bring good results.

Well, that a way to minimize the risks. Myself I prefer to hold everything I ever get long term, except for Bitcoin, I rather use that to buy other coins. Smiley

I depend on market selling price if prices are down.

I am sure that long-term strategies give much more profit. That is why I use it more often. Yes, I never forget about short-term investments, but make them rarely and when I feel soon the coin will go up.

Generally, 50% of the my coins is bought for longterm but i follow its constantly. I use the remaining half of my portfolio for short term trade and i usually want to keep at least 25% cash.

I both play short and long term, but it varies to your risk appetite.
For long term, less stress, less risk involved.

But in my opinion, setting a perspective ROI (return of income) in every trade(position) should be emphasize- there should be goal in every trade either short or long.

For instance, you should consider TIME and PROFIT ratio.
If you are satisfied in 100% a month just by holding position on potential coin will give you this RATIO.

100% / 30 days = 3.33% profit per day!

Not bad for a holder isn't it?

Long term will give you more stable profit, so I prefer to invest in ETH for long-term

Long term investment is a secure and profitable strategy. When you buy a coin in a cheapest price(make sure it's a promising coin) then you earn a great profits in the future. In the short term trading, it was a risk, maybe thought that it you've earned profit for now but once you buy in a mistake, you might be lost.

Generally, I think it's safe to say that most altcoins are better for the short term and the bigger ones (eth, btc, etc.) are for the long term.

I think all alts - short-term investments. Am I right?

Long term investment is the securest than short term investment. There is less probability for losses in long term investment obviously long term investment can minimise or reduces losses so I think long term investment is more effective than short term. Though short investment is too much profitable than long term.
