I think this topic is good to be discussed over time to in order to give hints to the new to trading and or investor. In my own idea and experience, id vote for long term investing, it is because for anyone who are newbies into this thing, i suggested for long term investments to avoid the loss, and give time to earn profits. What i mean is, if you are new, just invest to the coin where it has a future and you dont have any experience into trading. So for the old ones, maybe trading or short term is the best, since they already have the knowledge on how to manage their portfolio.

Have a great day

I prefer long term if you are very busy working on your full time real job. But if you are a full time investor or a trader then you can go short term; since being full-time in crypto world was the best in monitoring all your investments to make good profit.

I invest 70-75% in long term, like BTC and ETH in my long term portfolio
I invest altcoins also that i really believe their projects and team
25%-30% in short term invest to earn some money in projects with little cap
it is risky but i do it with less money)

I see the market in two different classes. The first class is bitcoin, ethereum and other serious coins. The second class is other tokens and ico assets. For the tokens, I don't go for long term. I go for mid term. For coins, I always go for long term since their growth is stable.

Well t really depends on the value of the coins. If the vaue is too low might better to hold it long term but if the value is high then you want to earn instantly much better to sell it in short term to avoid the drop down of the value.

As practice shows, the longer you hold the coins, the safer it is for you! If you do not have the skills to trade and know how the market is structured, it is better not to use day trading!

At the moment, I can consider a few interesting coins to purchase: PCL, ABX (arbidex), ETH, LTC, Wawes, XPR.

I'm mostly a fan of hodl strategy, and don't day trade or short trade. I don't know a lot of day traders or swing traders who did well in cryptocurrency market (short term trading requires a lot of technical knowledge, and most importantly it needs you to be strong in controlling your feelings, which many people are not).

Hodl usually works better. Sure, it needs a lot of patience too, but in the end it works better.  Smiley

for the development of a coin in the future we do not know. especially with this market situation. so I think the bigger risk is long term. because we do not understand for the future a coin. so the possibility of risk could be greater about 15% -20%

The investment technique that you are going to do dependa on the profitability of a particular cryptocurrencies. You should find first if your coin is good for long term or short term investment.

I think long-term and short-term equally have the advantage, if I see the market conditions alone if doing trade. if the market is more crowded I prefer to do short-term trading, because I get more profit. although fortunately a bit but often. but if the lg market is stable I prefer to hold for a long time, waiting for the high price.

It depends on the amount you have for the investment. If you have low capital swing trade will be good for you. But if you have enough capital you can decide to hold for long term

In my experience, long-term investments more profitable than trading, it's better to sit and wait for the price you need. I tried to trade, but I lost a lot

This depends on what you are good in, weather sort or long term trading but I will prefer to trade on a short term trading because of the little capital I'm available with... But if you have enough capital to invest in long-term investing, you can venture into it.

I do like this-keeping 50% of my portfolio for a long-term(1-2years) and 30% -mid-term(6-8 month),the rest is for a day or week-trading.

For me there are only 2 coins I believe in long-term and I think a lot of people think the same. I like some for the medium-term (6 months-2 years) and I think they are currently a good investment but the market will give answers about these coins early enough to know for sure.

Bottom line - don't get attached to something, there's a high chance new projects will be a lot better than current ones.

I hold most of my coins long term.
I also make short tradings along the way.
For example, during last dump, I bought in many altcoins which I sold recently.

I trade every day on the market but in my briefcase there are a lot of coins that I will hold for a year and more as I see they have a great prospect and they will bring me profits.
