Maybe you are right but what is the sense of all those quality posts when they are all used to answer that question many times in a thread? I'm against to spammers but I don't really believe that this changes will make it even better.

If we really want to face the fact, spamming is already rampant on the thread and it seems even with the whole thing, some spammers are just better at disguising with their constructive posts which obviously has been answered already. However, it is still better than someone who is busy shit posting to rank up quickly which is the reason I believe the smerit system is just perfect.

Shit post and you remain in a position. I understand how it feels though considering how some legendary accounts shit post as well. Grin

Well, I guess that is why early adopters will always enjoy.

you got some point here dude but i guess they are only complaining because they cant now rank up. You know ranking up is now quite imposible due to the effects of merit system, that is the main reason why these guys always keeps on complaining about these stuffs. Aside from that , earning a merrit is also pain on the ass and it is actually pretty hard to obtain it even though you think your post are good enough.

Actually, I'm fine with merit except in one detail...someone who came 3 days before me to BTT has 250 default merit now, and I have 100.
At this rate I'll get next rank not in 3 days, but in more than 3 years. I can't speak about whole forum, but I'm a lot on altcoin mining part of
forum, and I can tell with confidence that people there give no merit at all...you can spend 100+ hours of your real life making
them mining BIOS-es for free, and get no merit at all. Meanwhile, I see hidden merit trading everywhere (posts where people say
"show me your good post, and I'll reward it")

You would definitely get red trust from it as a I mentioned earlier this is a thing that shouldn't really need to beg on but rather strive to work on before you would able earn some merits.As I have seen in your trust ratings Vod did put some negative on you because you do make a pm and begging for merits for the sake of daily expenses,which is very an unethical move to do.Better ask him forgiveness and might consider for your mistakes and remove that neg trust.

Merit system is a good concept to appreciate the good and quality post and should NOT be influence of those people who wants to buy merit just to increase their ranks. So everyone should be responsible to ensure persons doing illegal activities (selling and buying merit) will be penalized.

merit is not a thread...for me it is comparable to a school institution...you study hard...have excellent grades and you will be awarded...it really do good because it will mold you to become a good conversationalist and a good advertiser...but on the other side which is also happening on a school institution,sometimes favoratism is also present, what if you work hard? construct a quality post but nobody cares especially for the jr.member who have a constructive mind but because the person who knew them are only their relatives who are into bitcoin also who are also scared to give merit to avoid being accused of having two or more accounts?..anybody wants to have job,anybody wants to have money...not all,i pressume of the campaingners have high education but they do their best to construct a quality post but to some who read it,is still not constractive so they received not a single merit at all(sad)...bitcoin is a big help to unemployment

Have you read out the previous comments or post on most members here?It being said for how many times that buying out merit is an illegal thing and once caught then you would be penalize on such behavior.
Merits can be earned by just doing a part into this community and might be considered by higher ranks to give out merit which is much fulfilling in my side rather than on thinking on buying out. Red trust would be gained instead of merit.

This is really a good thing which has been introduced as it gives you an opportunity of getting an extra reward of your hard work and the efforts which you put in while working there in signature campaign.

This merit is something which cannot be bought and that it is not an appreciable thing as well to go for buying of such kind of thing because this is something which you are doing wrong with yourself. You really need to earn it.

It cant really be bought but there were people who do start out to sell out their own merits for the sake of money which isnt really surprising for them to do specially for those people who do in need of money or just purely abusing this feature since they do know merits are way too valuable not only just ranking up your account but also it does show on how good you are on contributing good quality post into this forum.

Hmm ... Not so simple. I believe that, in general, the merit system has a positive impact on the forum. Posts have become more conscious, constructive, that pleases me!
But the growing excitement about the "hunt" for merits already infuriates me! And the abuse from the "old-timers" of the forum takes place. Yesterday I met an account that collected 45 merits for 30 days of the forum. It would be nothing if 40 of them were not from the legendary member, and even the administrator. My opinion is that the idea of the system is good, but the implementation is not thought out and raw!

Anorak forum has pretty good statistic...for example, here I share mining bios and get nothing, but on his forum
it records that my bios is downloaded 800 times and (despite people donated nothing) I got some medals for it...
its only for fluff, but could be used as better stat than merit...also have much more stats, like how
many times your links got clicked, how many likes your posts got etc

You cant compare out this forum into another forum when it comes to their own features and what type of people are on here.Checking out on traffic itself there are lots of people on here but doesnt really knows about mining which means there would be least interest on it even though there are some who downloaded on that mining bios into users on this forum but doesnt really get any merit then this is somehow anticipated because not all people do have the feeling or giving gratitude once they do already benefited to someone.
