Hi guys,

does anybody of you know how to view the console output of the miner?

I mean when you plug your monitor to SMOS you will get this nice known shell-view (see https://imgur.com/a/StTnk attached).

When I connect to SMOS via SSH and try to reattach a session in via screen it says "no session found", but the miner is running in the service manager.

How can I output this nice shell-view to my SSH connection?

Thanks for any advice that does the trick!

Can somebody paste here a working config for mining ETN (Electronum) for Nvidia? And preferably with a clarification about PaymentID and other niceties. Thanks
UPD: Looks like it is working config. please Check, maybe something could be improved?

Hi, I have a rig with 5x RX580 and since I change to mine Monero with claymore-xmr-v10.2, I have this issue every 30min-2hours intevals.

Before I have mining ETH+DCR without any problem.

What's could be the problem?

Thanks.

Can somebody help me, please?

I think this was mentioned in somewhere in the thread that Claymore needs to fix this.

A work around I believe was to add a failover pool.

Hi all,

does any body know if the logs from Claymore 10 in SMOS can be accessed (and how) ?
It is difficult to overclock when you don't know which GPU is faulty.

Thank's

anybody?   Smiley

or based on what/how do you individually overclock GPU (if you can't read  logs) ?

All the best

Help to make config
cryptonight.eu.nicehash

how to create a config cryptonight nicehash, nvidia

Use ccminer v2.1 or ccminer v2.2

-a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://cryptonight.eu.nicehash.com:3355 -u putyourBTCaddresshere.$rigName -p x

Hey citronick you might be able to help me here
On ccminer 2.2 I’m trying to setup equihash
Keep gettting retry after 30 seconds
Not sure what’s going on

I use EWBF for NVIDIA cards and Optiminer v1.7 for AMD cards -- didnt try ccminer for equihash yet.

Is there a kernel for equihash under ccminer? Drop an email to tpruvot - perhaps he can share some light.

Let me dig me notes... I am sure I tried it before.

Is there any news from adding new dstm's mimner to SMOS. Even it has %2 dev fee, for 1060 it is %3-4 faster then EBWF's miner.

REQUEST: when viewing the console, have a "next" button so that we can cycle to the next rig.  Sometimes it's nice to click around to make sure all our rigs are getting accepted shares.

Why can't I change my overclock settings on simplemining? I put the values to cvoltage cclock mclock but when I click save, it don't apply. Sometimes the miner even reload when I save...
Simplemining is great, but without overclocking tool it won't be the most profitable
how can I solve this?
Amd with bios mod or nvidia?
AMD with BIOS mod, rx 570 and 580

boot up with less than 6 x GPUs and do the BIOS settings..

... after than insert the next 6 x GPUs

I have a tb250-btc pro motherboard that supports 12 cards and 12 1060s hooked up, but whenever I boot up I get scrolling PCIe Bus errors. The bios is set to mining mode - above 6g and SMOS supports 15 cards so theoretically there shouldn't be an issue. I know one guy here got the same board up and running with 12, but I can't seem to get over 6 without these issues. I've talked to the dev and he's working on it, but I want to ask if anyone has had and overcome this issue in the meantime.

Bootup with PCI-16x slot
Goto BIOS
Disable Sound
Power ON after power loss
On board graphics - Enabled, select IGFX
Mining Mode - Above 6G
Save reboot
plugin to onboard graphics

*** set all PCI speed to "Gen 2" if that helps

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately this didn't help. We're still getting scrolling errors that say:

PCIe Bus Error: Severity=Corrected, type=Physical Layer, id=00db(Receiver ID)
    device [8086:aZee] error status/mask=00000001/00002000

  • receiver error (first)

Any ideas?

Disable aspm via bios and if that doesn't help smos dev must add some kernel boot options to /etc/default/grub

I have spend 6 hours of test with this mobo and 6 cards, tried both images - normal RX and z170image. None of the bios settings help to boot up with more than 1 gpu. I tried every possible combination and it's not booting. Problem is the kernel seems to not work fine with this Biostar, this guy here have the same observation - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_VoWV9ENa0&feature=youtu.be  so it's not just two of us. Can we have a version for this MB, please ?

reading your post again and I assume you are using the NVIDIA smOS image.... looks like you are not  Grin

I have the same board and all 12 x RX470s are working just fine

Since you have GTX-1060 you need this image, NOT the RX ones

https://simplemining.net/download/simpleminer-NV-v1103-kernel4.11.4-nvidia375.66-i915fw.imgc

setup your BIOS with 1 or 2 cards first and enable the Above 6G..., reboot and put in the rest of your cards, reboot ... you should be mining with all 12 cards

We finally got our rig running by adding pci=noaer to the boot options in grub. running stably with 12 cards now, no issues!

some guide how to do this ?

hello,

some guide will be very usefull!
btw i am also from Poland - like simplemining.net author which i very much greet!
it is a piece of good work! my congratulations!

unfortunetly, ia am a little green in those minning things,
try to build my own machine with 5 x rx 560 2gb, but after OS starts it shows only 2 of them working.
and not digging (i think becouse is 2 gb only - maybe there is some sollution?):

i have RX OS instaled on pendrive,
little old MB - GA EP35 DS3P with 2 gb ram (maybe it is little short)
Good PSU - Enermax 1250 and cards connected with riser's
those two connected to full PCI X seems to works, but the others not.

maybe someone can help me Smiley

sorry for my English, still learning Smiley

Solution connect Putty Ssh from a local lan to miner, using miner as user and pass,
sudo su
nano /etc/default/grub
Change GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet" to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet pci=noaer" (this turns off Advance Error Reporting)
Press CTRL + X to save
Select Yes
Hit Enter to confirm the file name
Enter "update-grub2"
Enter "update-initramfs -u"
Shut down the rig

I use sgminer-gm-v5.5.5.8-Nicehash. Speed is slightly lower than Claymore, but very stable with failover pool support and also no development fees. In my case, stability is more important speed.

How can we be sure there is no dev fee on sgminer?

you should ask this question to the developers themselves.

I set claymore-xmr-v10.2 to mine Electroneum but the miner restarts in about 1 minute and so does it permanently.
Can someone help me ?

my setings
-wd 1 -r 1 -xpool stratum+tcp://us-etn-pool.hashparty.io:7777 -xwal etnkBcpTtSUE6J9Ao3gdN3EK3y7Qe4uJLVfhck5gMoCtBm4tEeiri1fAiHHzu7fAjr1AmLkouDqpDVM KyTqDLd9L9QYgzmfKDX -xpsw x  -allpools 1 -mport -3333

That miner doesn't remain stable for some of us either
Instead, we Sgminer gm nh 5.5.5.8.

Thank you very much for your help!
Everything is working. You are the best!

sgminer is moving at a slower speed than claymore.
at my rig  9 x RX580  with:
  claymore has a mining speed of 7300 h / s
  sgminer has a mining speed of 6400 h / s
the owner of "simpleminer" must urgently fix this problem as it only takes monthly money for everything to work well

smOS is not a mining app.

smOS is basically a simple mining management system that use existing mining apps like Claymore, sgminer etc.

I use sgminer-gm-v5.5.5.8-Nicehash. Speed is slightly lower than Claymore, but very stable with failover pool support and also no development fees. In my case, stability is more important speed.
