Ferrari still have quite much time until the launch of their new season car. I don't know if they would show anything about the power of the car. Maybe we would barely be able to see it by the beginning of testing sessions. They need to give the best car they can to Leclerc and Sainz this time.

I don't know if it's still confirmed, but I had read that Ferrari would have an engine with 30 more horsepower for the 2023 Formula 1 season, a result achieved with an "innovative solution" in the design of the unit.
Furthermore, they promised to "attack" and solve the reliability problems that so plagued Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz this last season.

Ferrari's problems arose because they needed to "pump" their engine to the maximum before the blockade that affected all teams, but now, by the rules, they can still make some adjustments to try to solve the problems that remain, and that's what they want extract that extra power.

I still have hope that Ferrari will perform well in 2023, I really root for this team and hope that it can match Mercedes.

Ferrari indeed have the potential to prepare the fastest car on the grid now. This isn't the thing they didn't do before. The beginning of last season was just like that. But we all wonder how consistent they would be later on. Because they gave big hopes to Tifosis after that solid start but disappointed them in a short time after.

This time they could find Mercedes as a very strong opponent in the title race together with Red Bull as well. This would fire up the competition even more so Ferrari don't have the luxury of making big mistakes.

The dates are a bit far but what I am more interested than in the car presentation of the different teams is in the tests, there will be only few days from what I heard for testing of these new cars and I think it will either be only in Barcelona or only in Bahrain or Qatar.

The tests will be very disappointing this year. For the first time, we will only have one week of testing, 3 days

Last year amidst the controversies we had 2 weeks, 3 days plus three days, the first three of which were without TV coverage.

Now if they want to do only three days and without TV broadcasting there will be a revolution on social media.

I didn't like Verstappen's statements about Perez at the end of the season, as a person who jumped into the air when he became champion in abu dhabi who supported him. Yes, Perez didn't slow down for you, he defended hamilton who was trying to pass him, and you were expected to slow down. I understand that there were different scenarios, but still the style of those statements were not pleasant. I think he could have explained the situation in a different way. I hope they solve this problem and look ahead as a team. Because f1 is a sport where teammates can be a very important driving force, although it may seem individual.

I'm also quite disappointed by what Verstappen said about Perez's team-mate and my respect for him is starting to wane a bit. We know Verstappen has the upper hand now, but that doesn't mean he can discredit his team-mates. Doesn't he remember that Perez did enough for his success? This isn't an individual race, it's a team race, if Verstappen feels that Perez is slowing him down I'm sure that next season Verstappen's arrogance will be paid for in defeat. Because after all to make a race a success, teamwork is needed. Although individual decisions are sometimes necessary, such a statement seems very unwise.

certain rules will still be imposed. It is strange that Red Bull has become world champion, but they do not have a race car for normal people. If you ask people about race cars on the highway, you will quickly come to the answers Ferrari and lamborghini. Why is Lamborghini not participating in F1? They also have a very strong engine, comparable to Ferrari. But maybe that's not the priority at all. It's always a shame when F1 stops for a few months. Last year they continued until December, but now they finished the season earlier.

We can also see from the car aerodynamics the differences and how will these translate during the first race so we will learn more about which car got it better during this year,I only hope that this upcoming season there will not be changes of the rules during the season as that can prove as a season killer.

It is very interesting to see this new car from Ferarri, because this is the first car launch under the leadership of Frederic Vasseur and it seems that there are several things that are different and have been improved by Vasseur. And moreover Ferarri has improvised several parts of their car such as increasing speed by improve aerodynamic efficiency and tire management and degradation. It will be very interesting to see the competition from the Ferrari team in the coming season.
Finding that extra speed without any reliability issue is the hardest thing there is in racing. I mean it is easy to build a car that would be the best car ever, it's actually "easy", not easy for williams or aston martin of course, but teams like red bull or ferrari or mercedes could have cars that are much much better, and I mean like not even close, like domination levels and win 23 races in a row with 1-2 type of domination.

The only reason why they don't do that? Most probably those cars would fall apart at lap 20, because you can't push the car to its limits and expect it to hold, it will crash and burn each time. So, you have to find that perfect setting where it's not max and crashes, but not low to make you lose, so balance it between them.
Every year teams say somethings, and then we watch them fail at what they said. Last year they looked to be great as well, the first 3 races where they had 2 wins for Charles as an example, and then what happened? I understand they may start the season with confidence, and that's a good thing because it would give them a chance to fight for a title race in the first 4-5 races.

However, if they fail and do mistakes and lose races then after 5th game even Charles would stop racing for a top position and lose hope. Hence, if they really want to make sure they are good, they shouldn't just look for what they are capable of doing now, but instead look how they could improve even during the season.

So 5 million dollars for watching a F1 race,I know that in the USA they like to make it big but I think they have exaggerated big time during such a race.Personally if I had 5 million dollars I would be a very happy happy person that would enjoy life much more than I actually do right now, playing lotteries and try to change life  Grin.

As much as a fan I am of F1 I think this is something not normal and I believe this will be the opinion of many F1 fans regarding the price of this premium/gold pass or whatever they may be calling it.

Yeah for sure but this PASS is for billionaires.
American billionaires will be there Musk, Bezos, and more for them 5 million are nothing.

I have just started to wait for the time Perez leaves his seat and Ricciardo takes it from him. Because after these things happened I don't expect Perez to be a part of Red Bull for long years from now on. He would race next season and do his best to stay close to Verstappen to increase the in-team competition level. However I doubt whether he can get close to Verstappen very much. Because Perez has made many more mistakes than him so far. Perez will need to increase his concentration level a lot before the beginning of the season.

When Ricciardo takes the seat it might be quite interesting to see him back at the place he left because of not being the main driver. But I don't see him as competitive as in the past so he wouldn't be a big threat to Verstappen anymore.

We may also get some changes in the regulations for the coming season. Something similar happened 2 seasons ago and then Mercedes was suddenly the top favorite to win. I thought it had to do with a distance from the front wing to the ground or something like that. But they will not be fooled again at Red Bull by letting something like this happen next season. Very strange things have to happen if Red Bull is not to become champion again. Verstappen 1st man and Perez the 2nd man seem fine to me. Although Verstappen has shown that it is actually still just a toddler after that incident with Pereze.

Too bad we now have to wait a few months for them to race in F1 again. But it's also hard to drive all the races, and you also have to travel from country to country every week. You actually have very little time to prepare optimally. It is tough mentally and physically. And now the teams have a few months to prepare. At Red Bull they won't change that many things, as last season was the best season a team could wish for. Or would they want to raise the bar even higher for the upcoming season? Almost unthinkable. I hope that Mercedes can also compete for the championship again. It was actually a very monotonous season last season.

I was so hopeful to see Norris taking Hamilton's seat after Hamilton's retirement announcement in the future. However I must admit that I was very surprised to hear about Mick's arrival at Mercedes as the third driver. I would rather seeing him at Ferrari for taking a seat normally. In memory of Michael Schumacher, it would have been great to see Mick driving for Ferrari. Who knows maybe we might still see this happening in the future. But to pave the way for him, Sainz needs to leave.

In the end, Leclerc would be with Ferrari for long years. But Sainz's position is not very guaranteed now. He needs to do better next season.

I don't think that Sainz did that well,he also won his first race and in the last few races of the season he was driving normally,I think the duo at Ferrari will stay for longer and that is why most probably Mick decided to go to Mercedes as a third driver because he sees more chances there to drive for a winning team than in Ferrari.

I am afraid we are not going to see him drive the same car his father did but I am happy for such move because it means he will drive for a Mercedes which lately has been doing much better than Ferrari,so can't wait to see him drive for Mercedes.

It is explained that Ferrari had the best engine out of anyone else, and they started the season last year with full power, back when Red Bull couldn't even catch up, and had DNF because they pushed their car to be as fast as Ferrari. However, they had to dial it back down because their car had reliability issues, most known Sainz being caught on fire on Austria. So they didn't had the fastest engine anymore because of that.

This year they are dialling it up again and they will try to be a lot more careful and supposedly fixed the issues. In a season where they have the best engine, no reliability issues and no strategic mistakes like so many they did last year, they could actually fight for a title I believe.

According to rumors they were allowed to work on the engine during this break for safety reasons, the upgrades are banned until 2026.

Also according to rumors thanks to this, they have increased the power by around 30 horses power.
