It was like we watched the same scenario as the previous race here. In that race, Verstappen won and Perez - Hamilton duo were in a competition for the second spot. It happened again and Perez couldn't overtake Hamilton once more. Actually he was really close to Hamilton a couple of times but he couldn't prevent the gap from getting bigger anyway.

Mercedes drivers had a good day as a result. Hamilton couldn't keep up with Verstappen but he still had a great race. I wonder if he would have even a better race in case Mercedes decided to put medium tyres on his car instead of hard ones. But I assume he wouldn't be able to overtake Verstappen due to a big power difference still.

Yeah, not most interesting race. I expected that teams will go with 2 pit stop strategy, what maybe would made race more interesting. Mercedes expected that Red Bull will stop twice, this is why they put hard tyres on Lewis car to go till the end, but after all, Mercedes decision wasn't right.
Mixed feelings about Ricciardo. His result was great, but he ruined race for Tsunoda and got 10 second penalty which didn't affected final result, that's a bit unfair.
Good to see local hero Perez finish on podium.

Boring Gp so far but Mercedes still have a shot.
Ferrari can't battle it seems they are down with power for reliability safety.

Can Hammer Time be able to win?

There is a really tough race waiting for Perez as far as I can see now. Because Mercedes drivers have shown really promising performances so far. Qualifying was just great for Russell and Hamilton both and Perez is starting right behind these two drivers today. Ferrari drivers seemed really weak in qualifying but the race is always the most important part of course. But it will still be difficult for Leclerc and Sainz to get to podium this time.

It wouldn't be bad to see Perez winning this race as it is special for him. I don't doubt that he will do his best in the race. But even if he manages to overtake both Mercedes drivers, he will still need to do the same to Verstappen also. Truthfully, this seems really hard to witness. Verstappen is still giving his best into the remaining races despite announcing his championship.

Verstappen will win the race without problems if the race is held in normal conditions even if he is overtaken in the beginning by the Mercedes cars.Redbull is well known for offering better race strategy than everyone else and this together with the driving skills of Verstappen is a sure thing to guarantee Verstappen a race win.

If he has problems in the car,the weather changes suddenly, safety car deployments can all change the outcome of a race that is being held in normal conditions and as such make the race completely unpredictable.

Pole for Verstappen, with good Mercedes on p2 and p3.

It will be an interesting race, Mercedes can only win strategy here since it will be very very hard to overtake (if they can follow Max)
They have all the time they need in the start because there is a huge big straight before they arrive at the first turn so they can play a team game here and both Mercedes cars to attack Verstappen. If Max gets away in the first corner that is most likely game over but let's not forget also Perez which will be extra motivated here and even he has an equal chance to come out first in the first corner because of that big straight.

On strategy I doubt Mercedes can make a better strategy than Redbull unless they are willing to try a different approach,as we have seen in the qualifying there were nothing different to try,all the cars were using the red tires.Even for today race most likely everyone will go with a 2 pit stop strategy.
I do agree that Max would be in the biggest danger during the first straight, considering what George did to Sainz last week, and what he has done quite frequently before, Max needs to be careful about something similar, and if he can get away from both of them at the first turn and come out at the first place, then he will definitely not going to be doing anything harder after that and just take the race.

Even in that situation it's hard if both Mercedes drivers are chasing him, it would cause him to lose a lot of tire, and he would have to pit quicker as well to keep up at the top spot. It will be a fun race to watch for sure, Red Bull vs Mercedes again.

Mercedes also surprised me a bit, but the favourite for today's race is Verstappen again. Let's see how well Perez does in his home race, even if he would be second I don't think Verstappen would let him win?

Mercedes drivers seemed really fast in FP3 indeed.

However I'm not sure about a pole position for any of Russell and Hamilton. I'm thinking of more about Perez for taking the pole position honestly. Because this is a really important race for him as he is home now. Hopefully he has got prepared well for qualifying session to show his best performance. As it will be really difficult for him to win the Mexico GP at least he can impress the fans by starting in first place to the race. As for the race, I still think that he can finish it in second place at worst. It'd be an improvement considering his last race here.

Didn't watch any F1 this weekend but what happened here?  The usual suspects of getting the top three spots are not there.  Russell, Tsunoda and Ocon?  Where's Verstappen, Leclerc and Sainz?

FP2 results...  We'll see how FP3 goes but judging from the current lines at the betting market, the books could be putting too much credit on Perez at 4.20 and not much with Leclerc and Sainz at 8.00 and 13.00.  And Hamilton at 11.00?  Surely Sainz should have a better chance than him.

Russell is still being first and with a considerable distance to the closest follower in the FP3 which is going live now,I am waiting to see this how it ends before making a bet on the qualifying,I think since Perez is second now and is in front of his home crowd when the times comes for Pole will be a probable option,I don't see any of the new drivers that did run in FP1 now, only the official drivers of the teams are doing the later FP practices.

I hope that Russell gets a pole position which in turn in such track to turn into a victory because Mercedes with that change in the front wing sure made them look like better than a Ferrari (without the new engine of Ferrari). That would be nice and a change but I know that Verstappen will be the most motivated driver to take a win as this win would be a record breaking one.

I heard about Yamaha's mistakes that make him hard to race, like the Aerodynamic aspects. So maybe with this case makes Quartararo look not balanced when racing on wet track beside the problem of a tire. So it was influential when he tried to increase speed, however the motor also can't balance in what he want. in with situation the fans must willing to the title this year will be taken Bagnaia.
Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of anyone after the legendary MotoGP life retired, namely Valentino Rossi. But in general I will also be very happy if Valentino Rossi's protege can win the world with an Italian motorcycle this year, namely Bagnaia. Because in general only Crash can prevent Bagnaia from being world champion this year, it means Bagnaia is very close to being world champion for this year and I read in some local news that Valentino Rossi will also come to Valencia to celebrate Bagnaia's world champion. And I think it is a very special motivation for Bagnaia when he can celebrate the MotoGP world champion with his teacher.

Is there any drivers with penalties today,I am playing in a pool here in the forum and I checked the news but I don't know which driver is penalized and why,I think that the only one left who can be penalized is Verstappen as he can get the new engine that Perez got in the last race but so far I have not read anything about a possible penalty to him.

The FP1 started with Liam Lawson bringing the red flag as his car was on fire, literally in the front left tire,it is all over the F1 social media pages. The good thing is the pole position for us Europeans is at 22 Pm so we can see it in place of a movie we watch usually at that time and not wait 12 Am like last week in Texas.

Alfa Romeo will leave the Sauber in F1 in 2024.
Sauber will have Audi in 2026.
Alfa wants to stay in F1.
Not clear what will happen to Sauber in 2024 and 2025 before the deal with AUDI.
Let's start with the fact that Alfa Romeo does not participate in the ownership of the team, does not supply engines for the car, but is only a partner of the team, that is, relatively speaking, pays money for the team to be called by its name. On the other hand, the engines are supplied to the team by Ferrari, which is controlled by the Agnelli family company Exor. And Alfa Romeo is also controlled through Exor. Audi will buy 75% of Sauber, but will do it gradually, 25 percent of the shares in 2023, another 25 percent in 2024 and another 25 percent in 2025. After this period, Audi will also supply engines to the team. Alfa Romeo can continue to be a partner of the team until 2025, but for now prefers to extend cooperation specifically every year.

Audi in the car market is an excellent brand, where I live now it is considered the most prestigious brand to have while before Mercedes Benz was seeing as an iconic car to drive.Based on the technologies that Audi has developed lately and they have made some records with Le Mans cars with their R17 some years ago I only expect them to be serious when joining F1 and to offer real competition and not to use this sport mostly as Renault have done,as a testing ground for technologies to implement in their normal cars,Audi does not need this so I hope they even join earlier than that.
Audi is definitely a good one, but the reality is that Mercedes is definitely a better one if you ask me, and also ferrari is not a company that makes cars, they are a racing company historically, this is known, and they do sell cars just to fund their racing competitions. This is why Audi wouldn't be really that big, they would be sort of big, but not huge big.

Alfa could find another provider for them and will continue to do what they have done, they have the funds for it, Audi will probably just be an addition at best. There are too many companies trying to get into F1, it is not that easy to get in, and when they do, it is going to be very epic to have more teams and more races in the near future.

Drivers are doing a protest against FIA.
FIA will reduce the temperature of the heating blanket again for 2023 with the intent of removing them completely.

This will a good thing for spectators with low grip at start we will have more surprises but drivers don't wanna do it for "safety" reason.

In case somebody missed, FIA removed penalty from Alonso after almost week since race. Just yesterday they rejected Alpine protest, interesting why they changed their mind. It looks a bit ridiculous. Now orange black flag rule looks contraversial and there is too much room for interpretations.

I'm not sure about it. From words of head of company it seems that they don't want to put that much money into F1 and they're going to participate in other racing series.
