Honestly Ferrari has been so bad that I keep saying that we really need to see the team completely changing. I would keep Charles because he is a great young star, but aside from him, from Binotto to the lowest level, EVERYONE Needs to be fired and replaced. I know that is not happened recently at all because we are talking about something completely revamping the team, but that is going to be a bit of a problem.

If we could end up with something like that, then we are going to see Ferrari finally winning something, and that is a very important thing. Maybe lose 2-3 years on the way while doing it, but this team is just way too horrible to care.

I really don't know what to say about this situation. I'm very sad for Ferrari drivers as both of them DNF. I was sad for especially Leclerc as he was doing a great job actually. He got an engine failure suddenly and there was really nothing to do about that. And Ferrari were not the only team that experienced this unfortunate incident. Two more teams with Ferrari engines were out of the race completely. It was a terrible day for Haas and Alfa Romeo also. Ferrari need to find out the main problem and fix it. The gap between Leclerc and Verstappen is opening more week by week and Perez also has got ahead of Leclerc already.

Another terrible result for Ferrari. I do not know if they had double DNF this year, I think they did not, but they had this mishap missing from everything else, so its fitting to have it now. I mean they really need to look in the mirror, without any issues, they would have been in the running for a title right now, but with these, even though there are a lot of races left, its looking like Red Bull is already celebrating like they won the title already, at this point its not Charles vs Max, its literally Max vs Checo and if Ferrari keeps this up, its going to be a veeeery simple back to back championship for Max. Such a shame, the race became so boring after a while.

I also think Bastianini has a better chance of riding a factory Ducati bike next year in place of Jack Miller, despite his impressive performances at the start of the season.
while Jorge Martin experienced a decline in performance at the beginning of this season, as Rookie of the Year in MotoGP 2021 Jorge Martin failed to maintain a brilliant appearance in the MotoGP series at the beginning of the season, although there are still many series remaining for this season but I think it will be very difficult for him to bounce back considering that its competitors are starting to find the right feel for the motorbike they are riding and starting to be competitive.
What you say is also true because apart from the DNF they experienced at the beginning of this season, but if you look at the consistent performance and good results in several races, Bastianini is still far superior to Jorge Martin so the manufacturer will definitely prefer Bastianini to be placed in the seat occupied by Miller at this time.

According to this article Enea Bastianini will be the successor of Miller, the article also says that Martin is not consistent enough for the factory team and delivers too many crashes.
I also see it that way because some article writers and MotoGp observers at this point see more opportunities in Bastianini than Martin because Bastianini has managed to give very good results for Ducati in several races.

Quote
Rins now comes to the second team of Aprilia, think this is a very good solution for Rins and Aprilia. Most places next year are taken, remain only LCR Honda, KTM Tech 3 one place and one place in the 2nd Aprilia team.
That's obvious, but for now there are three more teams that are still possible for the riders to approach, Mooneyvr46, Pramac Racing, and also Repsol Honda.

Red Bull showed some unreliability in their power unit at the start of the season, now it's the Ferrari power units that have shown that they can be unreliable too.  4 cars with Ferrari power units had something going on.  Prolly over heated as smoke was coming out of the exhaust.

Here are the results..  I sincerely hope Ferrari does better this season.  The race become boring without them.

Leclerc is quick!  He should win the race tomorrow.  I can't see how he doesn't win it unless some technical issue arises or bad weather, track conditions.

And it's really looking like Perez is flipping the script.  Lol.  He out pips Verstappen again!  He looks alright about it now but let's see if he feels the same way after 3 - 5 GP's.  Wink
~

Very good start from both RedBull cars, it can not go better for Perez and now also has a very good speed, Verstappen also had a good start but there was no passage in the first corner. Now it is to watch the race and what happens, probably there will also be an accident and safetycar. Should Perez win thus race the world championship will be a three-way fight, supposedly there is no stable order at Red Bull should both pilots can fight for the world title.

I just arrived home knowing in my head that the race starts at 15:00 European time just to check that more than half of the race has already taken place.I can't deny that I am happy seeing both Redbulls at the first and second as this means if nothing happens to them like a stroke of bad luck like it happened to Ferraris then I will get a winning bet after quite some time losing to the Ferraris.

Yesterday I am also mad for losing my bet as Leclerc was only making errors in every single lap during the qualifiers and managed to hit a perfect one in the end ruining my bet,now is a different story and is a pro story for me so far.

I still think my earlier point is valid, and it's been the case many times already this season: Ferrari have the fastest car over a single lap in qualifying set-up, but Red Bull have the fastest car over a full race distance. I don't know what the reason is, could be differing set-ups, could be the cars behaving differently with a full tank of fuel, could be tyre deg... but we've seen it many times, Leclerc starts off ahead and an RB slowly reels him in... and then Leclerc can't catch them.

I did not expect Ferrari so competitive on a fast track.

Tomorrow will be a fun race with 4 cars so close one each other.

Strange is actually with Ferrari they are in the top speed there and there only in the midfield but in other measurements again the fastest.

On the finish stretch RedBull is about 5 km/h faster than Ferrari, could be very exciting tomorrow the two cars are on the track about the same speed, but just at different points on the track. Tomorrow, any of the four can really win.

A dream lap from Leclerc and actually also from Perez, with slipstream Perez could have possibly also achieved pole position. But even so a very good result for Perez, tomorrow everything is possible for the top four. It will depend a lot on the team strategy, a small mistake like in Monaco can cost the victory again.

I think he will not win,he ruined my Verstappen and Perez bet to be on pole today. He made mistakes at every single lap during all the qualifiers except the final lap which he made an extremely perfect one.Based on the fact that he managed to make mistakes in every single lap except the last one means that he is prone to making errors tomorrow in order to create gap with the Redbulls otherwise the Redbulls have that top speed in the last part of the track. He may win the race if he manages to execute it perfectly which I highly doubt it,I am going again to bet on Verstappen and Perez to win the race of tomorrow, their odds should be better than Leclerc.

Looking at how the practice runs were RB-FR-RB-FR on first, and FR-RB-RB-FR on the second, we could easily say that there is absolutely no difference between the cars so far in this track neither. It will be mainly the same levels of car, going head to head, and a big title fight all over again. It is cool to watch two cars that have similar pace and what not, compared to all those years we watched Mercedes have a better car.

Even last year Mercedes I believe had a better car, remember that Brazil race? That was one of the most dominant races one car could have ever shown, which is why I believe that we finally have equal cars, and this race should be pretty close as well.

This is surprising to me, Ferrari is close to Redbull on this track.

Ferrari used a low drag wing but I still think RBR is hiding himself.

Sky Sport also showed a clip of the out-lap for Leclerc of Monaco.
Albion was ahead of him, with a blue flag he ignored them completely for 1 entire lap, Verstappen gained in this way 4 seconds and overtook Charles.

And yes, Albion is still under Redbull's wing.

Verstappen's last lap, which was a really fast flying lap was ruined by Ocon or was it Latifi, again.  Lmao.  Who knows if he would've gotten the no. 1 spot if it hadn't been ruined.  But all in all, another good one by Perez.  His betting line to win went from 6.25 down to 6.10.  Let's see what his line will be once the books open the market for bets again.

Interesting stuff going on at the Red Bull paddock rn.  What if Perez is the faster driver this season?

That would definitely be possible, somehow Vettel also seems to have lost the motivation a bit, so a resignation can't be ruled out.

What still surprises me at the moment is Perez, who is still a real competitor to Leclerc and Verstappen, the duel seems to turn into a three-way fight.

Well we should consider the 2 GP with Zero points for Verstappen and the GP with 0 point for Lecrler.

For now he is for sure consistent but don't know if can keep their paste.

I think that the end of the FP2 doesn't show the real pace of Verstappen as he was slowed down by some yellow flags from what I saw yesterday during the FP2 so I have gone ahead and put a Pole win for Verstappen today.I am confident in this track Redbull will be superior as the fast parts of the track are more relevant than the slow ones.It all depends on the timing on when drivers come out to make their fastest qualifying lap as this is a long track which can cause traffic in difficult parts of it like the castle part for example slowing down the driver doing the faster lap a lot.

Perez is full of confidence here having won the last Baku GP last year, with luck but whatever a win is still a win.
