Sainz was the slower of the top 4 drivers of the day and he manage to win the race.

Disaster Ferrari with Leclerc, he was faster than Sainz with a damaged car and they failed the call for the pit box.

Sainz deserved the win today, but Ferrari has been screwing everything consistently in these last 6 races for Leclerc, sometimes problems with the engine, sometime with the gear box and most of the times because of Ferrari team not making up their mind quickly when needed to and penalizing Leclerc. In the pit stop through the Safety Car Ferrari should have called both drivers even if it meant for one of them to lose the lead, all was to play after the restart,Leclerc would be in the same condition as with the other drivers who changed tires to the soft ones.

I just had a chance to watch the crash of the race. It was a very bad accident. It's thanks to the halo that Zhou came out alive and undamaged. The important part of the race was this accident. This crash was the important part of the race. Without Halo, there's no way Zhou would have survived that crash. Congratulations to Carlos sainz. The winner of the British gp was Ferrari. The most important part of the race that stayed in my mind was the 2nd place race of the trio of leclerc, perez and hamilton.

Even though it's only been 11 races I think at the moment Epargaro is good enough to make things difficult for Quartararo. In several races he can always get points, and has been on the championship podium several times. It looks like Qurtararo has to be vigilant, he has to be consistent and think to keep getting points. Falling in the Sachsenring race cost him a lot of points and made the difference in points even smaller. Espargaro just needed some stability to get closer to Quartararo.
Then Regarding Marquez I am sad to see the scars from his surgery, it seems very painful. At first I was sure he would make the race more interesting, but he was injured. His luck was very bad with several falls and resulted in him having to miss the race.

It was seriously a tough race for everyone involved. So many DNF, a huge crash that could have ended with a death if it was like 10 years ago. Verstappen surely didn't get what he wanted and that is sad for him, but he is upfront enough in points that it doesn't really matter to him that much. They just need to rollback and see what has been the problem with the situation and see where they did wrong.

If they keep making mistakes they will of course lose points, but it is obvious that this was a one time thing. In the end it was a great race for Sainz who got his first ever win, he totally deserves it, he has been solid for so many years so far.

A crazy exciting race with an unpredictable ending. I was immediately a supporter of the introduction of halo in Formula 1 racing, despite the skepticism of many about this, but life has once again shown the correctness of this decision, despite some cumbersomeness of this decision. I think there should be no opponents of the use of the halo among the current races, Guanyu Zhou should become the main fan of the halo in general. I wish him good health and Alex Albon too. Ferrari had a great chance to give Leclerc a lot closer to Verstappen, but the team's reaction to the situation reminded me of the one that cost Mercedes the title in the last race of last season. Let's hope that Leclerc will still have chances during the season and the championship intrigue will still not die. I would like to congratulate Carlos Sainz on the epoch-making events in his career, when after the first victory in qualifying, victory in the race itself followed. I would also like to congratulate Perez and Hamilton on getting on the podium. I think Lewis is starting to come to his senses after a terrible start to the season.

Aside from the horrible looking crash (thank god he is fine) this was one of the most epic races I have ever seen in my entire life. From teammate to teammate overtakes, to many overtakes between 2nd to 5th positions (even 6th with Lando), from 44th lap to last, it was just insane period. I still can't believe that Max wasn't there to take part in craziness because he loves craziness. I guess his body damage caused way too much slowness. All in all, I am sure that this will be one of the races everyone remembers, its going to be quite hard and its going to be not that easy to forget. It will not be representitive of anything in the future, Max will still win the season because you won't have him having performance issues that frequently, but still it was amazing!

Seemed to be an easy win for Verstappen. Bizarre today also the start with that accident. Fortunately, Zhou was unharmed. Verstappen and Hamilton in particular will be disappointed with the restart, because they both had a world start and moved forward. Verstappen had bad luck with the car, but Ferrari has often had bad luck in recent trips so you could call this justice. I think Red Bull is happy that Perez is still 2nd, to prevent Leclerc from getting closer to 1st place in the final standings.

It was such good race that's difficult to summarize everything in one post. That fight in last laps. Sainz, Perez, Hamilton, Leclerc and even Alonso got involved - it was amazing to watch.. Finally first win for Sainz - it's well deserved. I'm a bit surprised that Perez didn't got penalty - he pushed his opponents out of track twice. And very solid race from Hamilton. Ferrari strategy again leaves questions, why they didn't changed tyres for Leclerc during safety car?
And first carrer points for Mick, P8 is very solid result and he was so close to overtake Verstappen. This result isn't lucky coincidence, he really had good pace.

One of the biggest crashes happened and we didn't even see the replay yet.
I think it's normal thing that they didn't showed replay until they know that driver is ok. They're doing same after all big crashes. And after they showed it - that crash was worse than I thought. The way how Zhou car flew into barriers and fence was so scary. It's incredible that after such crash he ended without serious injuries
@tokeweed, initially I didn't like Halo too, but I already changed my mind few seasons ago. I already lost count how many lifes it already saved.

^  Yeah sucks.  But it would be kinda boring if Verstappen is gonna be upfront.  It would be too easy for him.  And are they allowed to change tires during a restart because of the red flag?  I feel more for Hamilton than Verstappen.  Hamilton started really good from P5.

And...  Here's another one.  Cheesy

Edit:  Sainz choked.

Sainz will start again in P1 even if has been overtaken by Max.

He may change his tires now so he should start faster.

^ Yup!  I just saw the replay and...  Holy shit!  If the cars didn't have the halo I think Zhou would've died right there on the spot.  I mean wow.  And I was the one who said the halos sucked when they came out.  Lol.  I change my opinion of the halo.  They're obv good for the safety of the drivers.

Anyway Verstappen and Hamilton are too good for this grid.

Edit:  Oh man..  Lololol.  I'm telling you guys, Formula Dank is a riot.  Cheesy

One of the biggest crashes happened and we didn't even see the replay yet. All I saw from Twitter feed is that Zhou's situation is critical. His car is flipped and he hit the barriers.

Good news are coming, I guess he's out of the car conscious. It's worrying we haven't seen him yet though. We had a pretty scary 2 seconds of footage.
Verstappen took the lead, Hamilton started well but it doesn't matter at this point. We'll see when the race continues.

There is less than an hour to go. Silverstone GP is close to us and I'm really excited. It is expected to rain only before the race as far as I see in a weather report for Silverstone. There is a slight possibility for it to rain during the race too but it isn't much likely. After watching qualifying under heavy rain I started to think that it would be more delightful to watch this race in a similar condition.  Grin  If it doesn't rain then I won't be expecting big surprises in this race in normal conditions. I'll be watching Sainz closely also after this pole.

There have been four incidents in MotoGP in the first half of the season that have gone unpunished. However, the latest incident involving two riders who are at the top of the standings is currently being penalized for certain reasons. Hopefully the competition to win the world championship this season is still in the category of fun and interesting to watch and hopefully no more incidents that can harm fellow riders occur in the second half of the season.

Verstappen did not take pole, but does it really matter for the Dutchman where he starts? The last 7 races of that he won 6 I think and is almost unstoppable when they really start racing. Sainz has of course done an excellent job with his pole position, but in principle Verstappen will just pass that tomorrow. There will be some pressure, especially for Hamilton, he now has to show what kind of stuff he is made of. And of course he has the support of the home crowd. I think Verstappen 1, Leclerc 2 and Perez 3

Ferrari can oftn beat the Red Bull in qualifying pace, but no car can get near the Red Bull in full race pace. Yes, expect another Max win, relatively unchallenged.
I'd disagree about Hamilton, I think there's zero pressure on him. He's shown what he's made of many times before... but this season his pace is limited due to the car. I don't give him much chance really, unless it rains, which is where the better drivers often get a chance to shine.

But yeah, Max 1, Leclerc 2, and then third to whichever second-string driver out of Perez and Sainz can manage to demonstrate a degree of competence. Merc 5 and 6 unless Ferrari retirements bump them up the order.

Finally it's first pole for Sainz. But I'm afraid that he won't be able to convert it into first win. Today we had rainy condition, tomorrow it should be dry track, so, big factor of unexpected outcomes is gone. Max have everything in his hand to take another win.
But real hero of today is Latifi or GOATifi. First time in Top 10, 22 seconds behind the leader Cheesy.

A bit surprising but I'm very happy for Sainz for his first pole position in his Formula 1 career. Maybe he had not managed it under normal track conditions? But it doesn't matter and Verstappen caused his spin himself. I would also be happy about his first victory in Formula 1.

Yeah, he was in the right moment at the right time.

But Sainz is a great driver in wet conditions, tomorrow will be hard if it will be dry, RBR seems stronger on this track to me.
