Moto Gp had a intersting qualifying for the spring race.
We have Martin in pole position with a Bagnaia and in 4th position and Marquez in 13th.

Marquez really need improve the consistency if next year he wants to fight for the title when he will be on the main ducati

Second and third for for Aprilia, looks they are good in this track, can they win? probably no.

FP2 and German MotoGP Qualification will start soon and hopefully there will be no riders on this quite technical circuit because yesterday there was a red flag because the foam on the edge of the circuit broke. I'm a little curious about Marquez's appearance at this circuit because in the past he often won here on a Honda motorbike and now he is riding a different motorbike. So I want to see if he can win at his favorite circuit in the Sprint and Race tomorrow because Ducati also won here through Jorge Martin last season after competing fiercely with Bagnaia until the final lap.

McLaren has a better chance of winning this race than Mercedes or RB, they have really proven that the upgrades they have made are effective and capable of fighting RB. Hopefully it won't rain in this race, because this is a quite important race for McLaren and Lando, and the rain could destroy their strategy to get a podium in this race.

As said they were slow with this year car.

In projection they can even go 1.25.5 or 1.25.0 , crazy improvments after the past year.

I'm always taking FP3 more serious than the other practice sessions. Because the first ones are more like a warm-up. But in FP3 drivers start performing way better as it is like a preparation for qualifying session.

So far Norris looks really determined which isn't surprising. He wants to dominate his home Grand Prix. But I don't expect such domination of course. Verstappen would never give up and we will probably see his usual defending style once again. He is going to be tough to be overtaken again surely. I don't expect any domination by any of them but a great rivalry.  Smiley  My qualifying prediction is that Norris takes pole position.

In today's FP1 and Practice Nr1 sessions at the German MotoGP at the Sachsenring circuit, which is Marc Marquez's favorite circuit. He has had two crashes in the two sessions today so that means he can't set his best time in this session, but I'm pretty confident that he can achieve it in qualifying tomorrow because he has the record for most wins at Germany's Sachsenring circuit and it looks like It will be quite exciting to see the MotoGP Sprint and Race again in Germany this weekend.

^  How in the hell did Lance Stroll get second place with McLaren and Red Bull looking like they weren't sand bagging?  Cheesy Cheesy

Cause theya re going slow.

Pole position of 2023 was 1.26.7 so with the improvement of this year's car they can go easly near 1.26.0 or ever under 1.26.

I'm expecting a dominating max on this track from Qualifiing onwards

The Haas team announced today that the young talent Oliver Bearman has signed a multi-year contract. It is not yet known whether Magnussen will be his team-mate, but for a young driver it would certainly not be a bad idea to have an experienced driver at his side.

For Sainz, on the other hand, it will be very tight, there are not many cockpits left in Formula 1 for Sainz.

There is no need to worry that Sainz cannot get a seat in F1 in 2025, because he is not a bad driver and he has a good portfolio where if he wants he can choose which team he wants. He is currently just looking at which team will give him a good offer for the 2025 season and I think it is very likely that Alpine will be his choice.

And as for Bearman, I hope that he can maintain people's expectations of him and not disappoint in his first debut at HAAS. and hopefully he can give the best performance.

It might be a nice opportunity for Bearman to get some experience and bring his career to a better place. He is still 19. It is really difficult for him to find himself a place at Ferrari for years obviously.  Sad  I think driving an F1 car for a full season is way better than being a reserve driver for a team. When he got the opportunity at Ferrari for the first time, he had a really decent driving. I hope to see it more.

But the car he is going to drive won't be as stable as a Ferrari though. He must be well-prepared because of that. Cars like this always carry extra risks for rookies. I hope Bearman can handle this responsibility.

I think it's a good start for a 19-year-old, because the pressure to succeed is simply lower at Haas than at Ferrari, for example. If he doesn't make it into the top 10 in qualifying at Haas, the world won't end, but it better not happen three times in a row at Ferrari. So I think it's a good start for a young talent to gain experience with a team that isn't under pressure to succeed and to get to know Formula 1, plus he has an old hand (Magnussen) as a team-mate.

Bearman, the driver who took the spot of Sainz during the race skipped for his healty problem some months ago, signed a deal with Haas

I didn't fully get if Ferrari lost the control of the driver or it is just a "free loan" to get him some expirience, like Redbull is sending drivers to Visa Cash app car, aka ToroRosso.

It is rumored that Ason Martin is doing another push for Adrian Newey.
They had a second meeting for trying to signing him before the end of the year.

For the moment he has not decided yet and he is working only in the RB17 hypercar.

Lance Stroll aslo said the past week that they are trying even he has not used these exact words.

Yeah I have also seen it on some sources but it really doesn't look like more than a rumour now. If such transfer comes true then I can't imagine Aston Martin's future.  Roll Eyes  Adrian Newey is one of the best engineers and designers Formula 1 has ever had in history.

By the way another thing I have heard of is that Toto Wolff was interested in bringing Alonso to Mercedes in the past. However Alonso's answer was negative for that. He simply doesn't want to join a team which he feels like he doesn't have a chance to win another championship.  Tongue  I'm not blaming him for that of course. He is still ambitious and Aston Martin might give him what he wants maybe before his retirement if Newey joins.

I don't think he'll be interested in Aston Martin at his age rn.  If ever he's really gonna leave Red Bull, he'll prolly go for the glory and help get Ferrari back to winning a constructor's championship or go for a passion project and take a pay cut at Williams.  But dunno..  We'll see.  I'm still excited either way.

As for Horner, what's the latest with him?  It's starting to look like that he's winning the internal struggle within RBR and it's the Verstappens that are leaving the team.

I'm out of the loop, but when did they start introducing these rules? My search shows there have been similar penalties in the past although the rules seem to have changed a few times, but with stricter punishment. Based on what Marquez said, it seems like there can be another change following his incident where he's just a little bit under the regulation due to contact with another rider, which is very strange if the rules don't accommodate any incident like this, to begin with[1]. Sounds like the rule is too strict and failed to give leeway for interpretation or consideration for cases like Marquez's. CMIIW.
Even though you claim to know nothing about this, I don't think there is anything that needs to be clarified on this one point. Because the tire pressure regulations have been implemented in the MotoGP rules and MotoGP itself has posted it on their website by setting an 8 second penalty for the Sprint and 16 seconds for the Race. You can read all that in this source which uses our own local language: https://www.motogp.com/id/news/2024/03/07/pembaruan-regulasi-tekanan-ban-dan-penalti-di-motogp-2024/491276

Silverstone doesn't really have that much sharp corners, has some corners for sure (specially the ones right before the finish line) but not many and most of it is just wobbly small turns, like after cobbs. In the end, rain should matter but unless it's pouring big rain, it should not matter all that much. We could probably see the teams do well enough that we are going to see a normal situation without a doubt.

I believe that the best thing about this race is that while Red Bull will be fine, Norris and Mclaren has the speed to catch up and has a lot of places to get closer as well, even without DRS, and very good long DRS spots as well. So I think while Max will win, I also think that Mclaren may get good points here as well. They are definitely doing good enough to catch red bull lately, had plenty of games where they were close, even won one, and last week they had Norris taken out by Max which shows how much Max and RBR fears Norris right now.

Race time once again.

This week we will go in Britain in Sivlerstoone.
According to Google it will rain.

This kinda track with high speed should be a track where RBR is very strenght, so I'm expecting a very dominated weekend by Max.

Perez will probably take 1 second of distance in the qualy.

It looks like it might really rain during the race and who knows maybe it will even start on a wet track.  Smiley  However I also think the same as @tokeweed. I don't want to see rain here. Silverstone doesn't need rain to be more fun. It is already a really lovely track to watch.

I'm looking forward to watching qualifying. I expect no other than Verstappen and Norris to take pole position truthfully. It would be a big surprise if it happens.

If they start the race from the front row side by side then I can't even imagine how the start will be.  Grin  I'm completely supporting Norris here to win the race.

^  Please no rain.  At least not until the race.  I want the qualifying's result to be what it should be with either Verstappen or Norris at either pole or the second place on the grid.  But really, I hope no rain for the whole weekend in Silverstone.
