So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

What do you think I should do now?
if your coin still in your wallet atleast you still  have chance to recover your coins value when developers team decided to list in another exchange. i have same accident but i still keep my coin in exchange wallet and unfortunately this exchanges gone with all user's money included me. find an update from team who know they will give good update.

I'm sorry but you can't do anything about it now. If there will be no exchange for your token, and as what other people have said that the project was already abandoned, then there's nothing else you can do but to keep it in your wallet.

A fine example of high risk investment that didn´t pay off. That´s why it´s so important to diversify a portfolio, never put all your eggs in one basket and never invest money you can´t afford to lose.

Even if you get nothing financial out of it, ift should be a lesson of conducting more and deeper due dilligence when considering your next investments.

If the team that is responsible for that coin didn't put any effort to get listed into a new exchange, it's as good as shitcoin and has no value or in other words you are losing money. just check how active their teams are and if possible ask whether they are going to get their coin listed or not. Worst case it's a dead coin that you can do nothing about.

Batcoin is a scrypt algo digital currency that looks like another shit project to me, what's the usefulness of this coin other than minable? I don't see good reason why this coin should be on better exchange, it's just another useless project, I think you choose the wrong project mate, next time choose better, well known crypto coins

Keep holding mate, the team have to find another exchange to list the coin, I guess this is a new project? Because new projects most times start with an exchange and later find ways to other exchanges? If it's old then it means the project team aren't that focusing on the project
If there is no exchage yet, then the choice is to continue to hold coins, because there is no place to exchange them, but usually if a new project suspends listing on the exchange or does not attempt to list their tokens, it will be difficult to find a suitable exchange, and even that will continues until the coins become junk and have no value at all.

Even if that exchange was not gone, you'd still have no value for your coin as batcoin is already an abandoned project. The coin is listed nowhere and there are no any development activities from the team. The team didn't even renewed their domain and has totally abandoned it. Even their block-explorer is abandoned. Most of the mineable coins are dying now and it's worthless to invest in small mineable coins.

Yes, I try to search it in Github to see if there is some activity, but there is none in the last 7 years?

https://github.com/batcoin/batcoin

So it looks like this is a abandon project and could be considered as dead coins already. To the OP, you can't do anything about it as you can't exchange it because there's no value to the token or coin.

Currently BAT has no value because it is not listed on any exchange so yes you can liquidate that coin into fiat or any other cryptos.Do you keep tracking that project's development?

If it is not progressing for too long means there is no hope for it to have value even in future.

Sorry for you loss.

Value is subjective. Cryptocurrencies have some value as a monetary instrument because of their properties. An exchange existing only makes it easier to see what the market has to say about a currency's exchange value.

If the coin you have has any prospects for a revival, then members of the community might be interested to trade coins with you regardless of an exchange existing or not. It'll be harder and could be trust based or rely on a middleman, but still can be done. Demand to trade coins exists outside of exchanges too.

The only thing that you can do is HOLD and hope in a future listing. Pay attention in the future to this kind of investments. Collect more info about the project and listings because a coin without pairs has no value!

It is not just the exchange you should look at. Even if it is listed anywhere, even if it's a big or small exchange, you should consider the volume of the coin if it has a demand or not.

There is nothing you can do, you should've made your own research before investing or even using an exchange. I actually avoid small and new platforms since there is no guarantee of it's safety.
