Thank you Gazeta, I've added it

Thank you Porf! But I think, from too much zeal, you added that translation twice... Smiley

Hello guys, here's an new suggestion for the AOBT gang to translate to their local board... The pumpkin carving contest has just been launched by ChiBitCTy
In fact, I feel tempted to add it to our list without giving any other member the opportunity to object... but I am a man of law Cool and we have until November the 1st to participate, so if anyone has anything to object, let him speak in the next few days or forever hold his peace...

Hatchy was just ahead of me, as I was just about to make this proposal as well... Smiley
I also strongly believe that we should translate this topic as it's one of most important forum events from the year!

Porf, can you add this translation too, please? I approved it already.

Thank you Gazeta, I've added it. And thank you too, dansus021. One more, or one less, depends on your philosophical stance towards life Wink

Hello guys, here's an new suggestion for the AOBT gang to translate to their local board... The pumpkin carving contest has just been launched by ChiBitCTy 🎃 [ANN] Bitcointalk Bitcoin Pumpkin Carving Contest 🎃... I guess i might join in on the translation if it hasn't already been translated there...(we have a lot of pidgin translators these days)... But then it will be fun having this on our locals...

TOTALLY TRUE STORY HERE: My wife has been all last week asking me about the pumpkin carving contest! I'm really glad to see that it will be held also this year, as it's definitely one of my favorite forum events:

In fact, I think that I have found a picture on the internet of the trail you were leaving behind you Cheesy

Hihi Smiley

I'm glad to sense from your words that it was an exciting trip for you, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that we're glad you're back Smiley

Thank you for the kind words! It's good to be back!

The only thing that remains for you to ride is a "Rocket 🚀" now...

Maybe I'll do this soon Smiley

Btw the translation for this topic [...] can be found here

Great job with this new translation, DS!
Side note, if you wish, the other two remaining topics in progress are also available for being translated in your language. And the one of witcher_sense needs only 1 more translation for being completed. So if you think you can do this one as well, we'll finish that topic too Smiley

Please don't scold me too much. I sent a request to 1miau before and published it.

If 1miau approved it, this is best possible approval!

From my perspective though, I'll mention that you should add the the bottom of that translation the usual reference we add to AOBT, meaning this part:

Code:

[hr]

Translation made at the initiative of:

I'll take this article for translation: "How to add a Bitcoin address to Electrum / difference sweep and import priv. key"

Thank you zasad@ Smiley

Please, don't forget to tell Gazeta before posting the translation just in case he wants to make any changes in the draft. Me, DS and DrBeer if i'm not wrong are using Archival for that purpose, but you can simply DM him first otherwise.

Please don't scold me too much. I sent a request to 1miau before and published it.
If something is wrong, I will make changes to the translation.

When you mentioned Africa I was thinking in something like safaris, Ngorongoro and places like that, but a destination like Egypt made more sense now in hindsight.
Oh well, actually I was in a safari! In the Egyptian Desert (so not in Sahara)... I forgot to mention this part Smiley I rode ATVs then during same safari day I visited a Bedouin village from the desert... where I also rode a camel <3

In another order of things, less pleasant unfortunately, as it has been several months since the last performance review of the gang members, some critical voices are demanding action again. This is never pleasant but, please, keep an eye on your messages, because we will have to hold a vote again very soon Undecided

Wow, congratulations on such a wonderful holiday Gazeta, and thanks for sharing the experience with us (plus the brief History class).

Thank you, Porf! It was very beautiful indeed...

Amazing that fact, and a bit sad that they were partially lost due to time, but also humans.

True... so true...
In any case, the Great Pyramids of Giza are the only functional world wonder of the seven ancient world wonders... Besides them you can see also the remaining of the Colossus of Rhodos -- been there as well... But only the legs are what remained from that colossal statue, guarding the entrance of Rhodos Port. And those legs are insanely high... can't imagine how the entire statue looked while it existed...

That sounds great Gazeta! I' ashamed to admit that geing so close to that continent I have never visited it, I have no excuse.

Can you tell us more about your vacation without revealing your identity or compromising your privacy? Perhaps some generalisation.

I was in Egypt... I was in Hurghada, Luxor, Cairo and Alexandria. These are amazing places and full of history... Besides the pyramids of Keops, Kefren and Mykerinos and besides the Great Sphinx I also visited the ruins of ancient capital Memphis, Valley of the Kings, Egyptian Museum from Cairo... I had a boat trip on Nile to Banana island... I visited temples, citadels... I saw the place of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was one of the seven world wonders of ancient world -- now on that place we can find a big citadel with a mosque inside it, and the mosque is built like Hagia Sophia from Istanbul... The Lighthouse collapsed after multiple earthquakes, last one being in year 1303 if I am not wrong... I saw the new library of Alexandria, built on the same place of The Great Library, which was another world wonder of the seven world wonders of ancient world, burned by Caesar in 48 BC... I saw also Pompey's pillar, about which it's said that Egyptians killed him, due to atrocious oppression exerted by Romans upon them, and placed his head,in a jar, on top of tat pillar...

I find amazing the fact that, from all seven ancient world wonders, THREE of them were in Egypt -- the pyramids, the Lighthouse and the Great Library...

I also made a boat trip to Eden island, which is part of a group of islands located near Hurghada and which are called Maldives of Egypt -- needless to say, the landscape / turquoise water were spectacular...

Thank you for this new translation, DrBeer!

I don't see them posted in Archival and therefore I'm not sure if they are already approved by Gazeta, but I have just added both translations to the list. Please, note that slight changes/corrections may be required as these translations work the same as Gazeta's own.

I approved them. I sent DrBeer a PM telling him about a few typos I spotted Smiley

Hi, my beloved frennn @Porfirii and @GazetaBitcoin  Cheesy

The Indonesian translation of the topic Make sure to avoid wasting BTC for too high fees – step by step guide (Electrum) by 1miau is available at:  Cool

Thank you guys! I confirm the translation are okay and I will inform 1miau as about their existence.

I have completed translation

Great job with this translation, Nalain420! I also announced witcher_sense about the new translation.

Hey Gazeta, am I missing one? I only posted eight links to translations.

My bad here... I miscounted them... There were 8 translations at that moment and now there are 9... so only 1 more is needed. The available languages for witcher_sense's topic are [GER] [POL] [TUR] [FIL] [POR] [BAN] -- so this should be in the attention of cygan, mindrust / mela65, Peanutswar, gagux123 / r_victory, DS / LB.

Just in case, paid2, and taking into account the special condition of 1miau's translations: has it been accepted by Gazeta before posting?

Not at all, I completely forgot!
Gazeta knows where to find me if there's any problem with the post.

Nothing particularly worrying I hope. I am the first whose personal life doesn't let me be as active as I would want to be, but please let us know.

Come on, only one translation left for witcher_sense's topic Wink

Dear dansus021 Kiss, thank you for your work.

Sorry but I have to ask you the same I asked paid2 before: did you read Gazeta's previous post about 1miau's translations? I'm sure that your translation is top notch, but he asked to send him a preview before posting, so I think that it would be better to post a draft in Archival and copy it to local only after his approval.

I have added it to the list already, but let's see what he says.
