Thank you r_victory! It's good to see that you are well and back.

Ten translations mean that fillippone's topic can be moved to the list of finished translations Wink and I've just seen that you have already informed him about it. Well done!

Guys, after talking with Gazeta, tomorrow I'll create a new form and send you a PM explaining what the new ideas are. It would be good if you all responded over the next week so we can make decisions and get going.

Nothing too complicated, but I think it is important to know your opinion and, hopefully, listen to new proposals.

Hello AOBT gang members, GazetaBitcoin, Porfirii  I just finished my translation of @Learn Bitcoin tutorial
PGP(Linux) topic's Turkish translation is finished

Big congrats to Hatchy and mindrust for their efforts!

I am kind of biased against Windows so I don't know If I will ever do the Win translation. Been using linux on all my personal computers since 2018. Never looked back.

No worry, you are not same one sharing same thoughts... Smiley paid2 also told me he shares same view about Windows...

Alright, I found some bugs and fixed them too. also did some refactoring. Pushing them now.

Arkadas mindrust, you are really incredible! Your development here will certainly help a lot!

I'll be a little late for the second translation as I'll be very busy this week. But ones im free, I'll add it to my schedule  Smiley

No rush, Hatchy, whenever you can...

Shocked Shocked Shocked You're the best mindrust!!! (and also my salvation: time is a scarce and valuable resource, and all that can be automated is definitely welcome).

Give me a few days and let me do some tests and I will tell you if it is enough or I need more help with that Smiley

I take this opportunity to comment that this weekend I'd like to share with all of you a few ideas that have been on my mind for the last weeks. I'm debating with Gazeta before sharing them, and we expect to open a debate process with all the AoBTers to make some decisions together that can improve our work.

Keep tuned!

I see you are also using browser's zoom in function. I modified my code. That should shorten your workflow.

My result:
Quote

The image in the OP:
Quote

I used 100% zoom (2.0) and It looks way better now. The fonts look different because it seems to me you are on Firefox, while I use a chrome based browser. Firefox fonts look bold/ugly.

Updated the code, added the folders and also uploaded the new images into them. You can fiddle with the zoom and modify the code according to your needs if that's too much.

If you can't bother with running/installing node.js, I can upload the new profile images weekly.

edit: Another update. I modified the code again. I manually set 10(11) users' (Peanuts, Porf, R_vic, Zasad, Bao, Cygan, Dansus*, DrBeer, Gazeta, Husna, Mindr) image width to 370 pixels so they don't need further cropping. Dansus has copper membership so his image is 400px wide. The rest needs to be cropped further.

end result:

Quote

I can probably automate the remaining work for rest of the profiles too If I dig further.

edit 2:

All crop work is automated and done. Only dansus is 400px wide. The rest is 370px, all automated. Updated the code, uploaded the images into the "finalimage" directory.

https://github.com/mrustbtt/btt-ss-app/tree/master/images/editedimages/finalimage

If these specs ain't good, I can modifty the code. Maybe I should do 400px on all?

edit 3 probably final:

fixed dansus too. All automated and 370px. Uploaded, the code updated.

PGP(Linux) topic's Turkish translation is finished

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/rehber-pgp-mzas-mesaj-ifrelemeifre-cozme-linux-icin-5494837

I am kind of biased against Windows so I don't know If I will ever do the Win translation. Been using linux on all my personal computers since 2018. Never looked back.

Thank you mindrust, your translation has been added to the list. About the Windows tutorial don't worry: we all have our personal "code" so nobody should translate content that goes against his personal convictions; in addition, I don't think that we'll have any problems getting it translated into 10 different languages apart from Turkish.

I've coded a mini express.js app using puppeteer.js (autoscreenshot) and sharp.js (auto crop)

https://github.com/mrustbtt/btt-ss-app

This app goes to the AOBT members' profiles, takes a screenshot of each of them and then crops it. Maybe it will come useful. All you need to do is install node.js, and then a few dependencies, create 2 directories ("images" and subfolder "editedimages") and then run the code from the terminal with the command "npm start".

There is a slight difference between profiles so there is still some minor cropping work to do.

For some reason some users have a wider blank space.

Thank you!!!

I knew that there was some way to automate the process, but I didn't know how. This is very educational and I will definitely delve into it.

Unfortunately, as I said and as you have also observed, for some reason data don't fit in boxes of the same size, and my OCD won't let me post it like this Cheesy I will consider cropping them, but I think that for a little more work images will still look better with the handmade method.

Dear AoBTers: OP has been updated with the latests stats.

Congratulations paid2! you just got over me Wink [applause].

Images got automatically updated in our respective locals, so updates are not mandatory; but please, edit the code if you have a moment and make sure every member is in the right position according to the number of merits.

Dear AoBTers.....
Take your time, PorfEssor! Tongue

We have our own lives outside of this forum. We would love to know about your ideas. Also, if you have free time, I personally would like to know how you update the Hall of Fame! I saw some GitHub links inside the ANN. The process and so on...

The process is mainly manual, unfortunately. As real data in the forum don't fit in boxes of the same size I can't simply take screenshots and upload them, so if I want them to be the same size I have to edit one-by-one each member's stats in a template I prepared and take screenshots of every box. Then I rename the screenshots and upload them to the Alliance's GitHub account (I shared the password of that account with a few other members, just in case, and I will share it with any other member who is interested in using it). Finally, I edit the code so every member is in the right place according to the new merits.

I think I will start also working on the Linux tutorial proposed by DS

Aaaand, the Romanian translation is ready: [Tutorial] Semnătură PGP – Criptare / Decriptare mesaje (doar pentru Linux).

Porf are you so kind, please, to add my translation to the list? Smiley

Although I have tried to stay up to date with translations listing updates, I have been really busy in the last weeks due to some personal issues, as I explained to Gazeta a couple of weeks ago; but I'm glad to announce that starting tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I will have more free time again Smiley

No worry Porf, welcome back Smiley

I have a few ideas that I'd like to share with you, plus new month = new Hall Of Fame. Some of you ranked up and it must be announced properly in our OP. Thanks for your understanding, and sorry for not having done it before (until an AI does it for me, it truly takes me a lot of time every time I update it).

Yes, LB informed me of his situation and told me to do the translation. Yes, I did looked at his topics and found no such translation.

All good then.

I have already started the translation, doing it a bit slow, taking my time, no worries.

No rush, DS. Thank you for doing this effort!

P.S: GB, did you looked into my PM? It's a "yes" from my side. What should I do next? Awaiting for your response.

I already replied you. I hope this helps.

DS, as far as I know (and you too), LB has some personal issues which refrains him from being active here, hence I think you can do the translation, if you wish... If you wonder if he translated that topic already, simply look at his topics Smiley If he didn't make it, you can try making this translation...

There is also a translation in Indonesian (translated by joniboini - 2019) and quoted by moderator (Indonesian board) in the pinned thread below

I believe the correct link should be this one, though...? -- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.50180385

Yes, that's the link, as you will also find when you click on the quote in the link I mentioned above.

Regarding the email link, I have also suggested that it be edited.

Thank you, Husna... Perhaps Porf can add this translation as "[IDN2]"...? It would have been better if we knew about this translation before dansus021 performed the IDN translation, but it is what it is now...

I forgot that the moderator had quoted the translation and combined it with the Indonesian sub-forum rules.

I already have a tutorial about PGP in Indonesian using several different OS:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/tutorial-pgpgpg-signed-message-public-key-3221263

So, I don't think the mdayonliner thread needs to be translated into Indonesian.

IDN2 added to the list ;)

My fault, I misunderstood your last post about his health issues: I meant r_victory.

Translation of the topic "Recovering hacked/lost accounts" by theymos has been in the Russian section for a long time and is fixed on the main page of the section Boccтaнoвлeниe дocтyпa к yчётнoй зaпиcи 2018
You're right Xal0lex: I have just included a new link to the pinned translation you mentioned.

I am eagerly waiting for that day when we will get our local board for the "Bangla" language. So that I can request the moderator to pin the translation I made. Even the thought of it fills me with enormous joy. Imagining my username in the pin post, ha ha!!! Grin

Really hope that theymos will grant us our own local board.

I have a confusion! This topic [ENG Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint has 2 author. So do we give credit to both of them like the format below?

I, for one, used same header as always for my translation:

Autor: Learn Bitcoin
Topic original: [Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint

Topicul curent este o versiune in imagini a acestuia. Autorul este inactiv, iar topicul este incuiat. Mai mulți utilizatori căutau un astfel de tutorial, dar imaginile nu erau afișate. Am încercat aici să rezolv problema imaginilor și să le repostez.

Credit: mdayonliner

The fact that LB credited mdayonliner is also visible, since I translated also that line.
