The Russian translation of this topic should be removed, as it was performed by Ratimov and he deleted it afterwards. (Eventually, someone can restore it in a new topic.)

Regarding the above, I was also wondering if DrBeer would like to restore Ratimov's translation, since he knows Russian language...? It should be easy, only copy-paste it from here, update image links, check if it all text is translated correctly and post it as a new topic Smiley (Also, DrBeer, if you will do it, please don't forget to update fillippone too, in his thread, about the new translation.

Hello, everybody ! Smiley
I don't see any problem, I'll do the translation ! Then we'll make it in 2 languages - Russian and Ukrainian.

As per the topic you proposed to translate, I recommend making a small poll and see if enough translators (10?) are willing to translate that topic, unless you think that less are enough.

That won't be necessary... I am cancelling my proposal. Apparently, theymos decided that Jambler is no longer suitable for the forum and it will be censored after April 22. As a consequence, translating this thread would be useless.

Instead, I would rather propose to translate the other topic suggested by DS a while ago...? What do you think? And, if this one will be accepted, if we are in lack of other ideas, perhaps we can work, afterwards, on the topic about PGP for Linux too... but there is no rush here, in any case...

Translation and adaptation of [Education] Bitcoin Privacy and Anonymity, in Russian, uploaded to the main thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/oeaoc-aooc-bitcoin-5492758.

Thank you for the heads-up, DrBeer and big congrats for finishing completely all work about this topic! It's really incredible to see that finally, the ninth translation is fully done and now we are waiting only r_victory's translation, for finishing this topic Smiley

Porf, are you so kind, please, to update the link of the Russian translation for Husna's topic? The existing one is the one posted by DrBeer in Archival section and the above one is the final one.

not quite, because the polish translation was still missing Wink

And noooow, we have 12 translations for this topic, which is incredible Smiley Great job, cygan!

If this is not a new record for the Alliance, it must be quite close. Congratulations to all active translators, and specially to Learn Bitcoin for the interest his topic has raised among us and in the forum in general Smiley

I would also like to bring the following to Porf's attention:

-snip-

I hope this helps.

Thank you Gazeta, as accurate as always. Russian link deleted, and corrected the duplication in the case of the Italian translation.

Dear AoBTers: Although I edited the OP ten days ago to include our newest member Chilwell, I'm aware that I have to update it again with the newest stats of you all: some members are doing extraordinarily well and ranked up very fast, and it is important to show that info. [...]

Once a month would be a good deadline IMO.

I also consider that once per month is okay, Porf. Maybe, for less stress, even once at each 3 months...? Also we have to bear in mind the translations of our OP, which should be also be updated and, maybe, not all translators have time to do it... So while once per month does not look a too big effort, maybe some will need more time to do it...? I mean, for example, there are still two translations which do not have even the updates from December (I am not sure if I remember well, but I believe in December we had the last OP update) -- the German and Russian ones...

Other than the above, considering that (1) we have only 2 topics in progress and both should be finished soon as well, since r_victory and paid2 are working for the remaining needed translations for these topics; (2) and considering my proposal received some support (and no opposition so far); (3) regarding Porf's worries I replied here; so taking all these into account, should we add Jambler topic to our "In Progress" list...?

Eid Mubarak dear AOBT family. May this special occasion bring love, peace, and prosperity to all of our lives.🖤

Thank you DS! I also hope you a blessed festival ^^

It is curious that I knew a little bit about the feast after Ramadan, but not about this one which, as long as I understand, is a little bit like the New Year. I won't go to bed without knowing one more thing.

Peace and love to you and your loved ones Kiss

Having the existing above mentioned existing or in pending translations, the following ones are still available:

There are two more translations I did a while ago. Bangla and Urdu are already available.

Bangla Translation: PGP বাংলা - এনড্রয়েড ইউজারদের জন্য!
Urdu Translation: PGP Tutorial for Android - In broken Urdu

Thanks everyone for the translations. I do not have enough smerits to reward you guys  Cry

You deserve another special mention Learn Bitcoin, because not only did you translate the thread into two different languages, but you also created it!

I feel bad because I don't have enough smerits to reward you, but rest assured that with your positive attitude you won't lack merits in the future and you are one step away from becoming a legend Wink

Thank you Husna! with that one, we have reached ten translations (in record time!), so I'm moving it to FINISHED translations. Remaining languages are still welcome, of course.

Dear AoBTers: Although I edited the OP ten days ago to include our newest member Chilwell, I'm aware that I have to update it again with the newest stats of you all: some members are doing extraordinarily well and ranked up very fast, and it is important to show that info.

But, as long as I have to do it manually and the process requires following many steps (visit every profile, edit manually every stat in a text editor, make screenshots, upload all images one by one...) I can't make these changes immediately like I do with the list of translations in the second post, so I ask you a little patience Undecided Once a month would be a good deadline IMO.

Thanks for understanding.

This is really great news, LB! Thank you for this update. In this case, the topic already has 8 existent translation, plus one in progress (cygan's) and, since Porf said above he will make the Spanish translation too, this settles it -- the topic will have 10 translations thus it will be finished in short time. Porf, thank you also for this effort Smiley

Edit because Gazeta posted while I was writing Cheesy = Not to mention Gazeta's effort adding his sum-ups every little time! and without belittling the work of other members, of course.

I am more than glad if these updates help and bring visibility on the status of each topic Smiley

Finished translating the fundamental article "[Education] Bitcoin Privacy and Anonymity" into Russian.

DrBeer, you have all my respect for translating this topic twice! This really incredible. I had hard times translating it once, so I can't even imagine how it was to do it twice...
At same time, since r_victory is also working on the Portuguese translations, let's hope that, soon, we'll finally reach the 10th translation for this thread as well.

The version for preliminary reading, search for errors and typos posted in the Archive.

Please let us know also when the topic is in its final shape and moved to your local board Smiley

If the community doesn't mind - I can translate into Ukrainian and Russian the topic [Android Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message

Of course nobody would mind, quite the opposite! Smiley

ANN thread -TR translation- is updated.

Great job, mindrust and thank you for this update! At the moment only Russian and German translations of OP are needed to be done, so this should be in the attenion of zasad@ and Buchi-88.

The translation of "[Android Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message" into Turkish is finished.
I did some translations into Portuguese language.

I'm not a fan of translating pro bono for-profit projects (I don't know yet if this is the case), I shared that opinion when we accepted AgoraDesk and in the end it took us a few problems as far as I remember.

Porf, I am not sure about what problems you are talking about... If you refer to Ratimov's intervention, that ended up with having him removed from DT, after being exposed for lies, plagiarism, abuse of Trust system; followed by his hysteria which led him to delete almost all his posts and, in the end, to have his account banned. This was the only issue which I remember about translating AgoraDesk thread.

A while ago I proposed translating the thread of a service - AgoraDesk - since it was a service meant to protect users' privacy. I was glad the topic was accepted, for the reason I provided. Having this in mind, I would like to propose now the translation of Jambler thread, which has same purpose as AgoraDesk: protect people's privacy and anonymity. As a plus, this service was allowed by theymos to not be censored on the forum, so it's fully respecting all forum rules.
Sounds like a good idea, GB. Users' privacy and anonymity should be above all. And since this service is allowed by theymos himself, we should have no restrictions or issues translating the Jambler thread. I'm sure other members would also agree. What do you think Porf? Wink

I'm not a fan of translating pro bono for-profit projects (I don't know yet if this is the case), I shared that opinion when we accepted AgoraDesk and in the end it took us a few problems as far as I remember.

But I will dig more into it, because I don't know this service well and this case may be different.

In the comment, he said that there is a specific topic for users to post their Bitcoin address to help in the future recover their Bitcointalk account if it was hacked or lost. I didn't know this topic existed and that's why I thought it was important to share it with you guys Smiley. Here's the topic - Stake your Bitcoin address here
As far as I know, it is not necessarily required to post your BTC address in that specific topic. It can be any topic or thread as long as your post is un-edited and intact.

-DS 🧛‍♂️

Not mandatory, but a good idea to add it in the second post of the translated threads IMO.

Thank you guys for your translations, specially DrBeer for the [Education] thread! There's only one left, I can't believe it Cheesy
