I would like to come with a heads-up for the translations remaining to be done. I hope this helps.

First topic has 7 translations and, as a consequence, this topic will need 3 more translations:

Second topic has 6 translations, one more being in progress (Portuguese one), as r_victory announced here. As a consequence, this topic will need 3 more translations:

I did not mention the IDN translations for these topics, because Husna mentioned he already has a topic with such tutorials. Besides, paid2 and mindrust already stated they will not translate first topic, thus I did not mention French / Turkish as possible translations for that thread.

I hope this brings more visibility over the remaining possible translations.

Dear Porf

I have completed my translation for this topic [ENG Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint

Bangla Language:

This topic was by far the most challenging translation I have ever made. Not due to complex vocabulary, but because of its massive size and the presence of BBCodes. I had to divide it into two parts because of its size (I don't know how will you update OP, little confused). There were so many BBCodes that, I lost count of how many times I previewed, got lost, or felt confused about which part to edit. I had to scroll so many times so many pages that the mouse would have broken eventually. Man!! it was an difficult task, but I’m relieved to have successfully completed it after months of struggle.

After I checked again, it turned out that the sentence between the subtitles 'Entendiendo PGP' and 'Empezamos' still didn't appear.

The error was in the word 'Advertencia' and not just in BBCode, so I got around it by adding random code between the letters.

Code:
[size=13pt][color=red]Ad[u][/u]vertencia: No compartas tu clave privada ni tu contraseña con nadie.[/color][/size]

Thank you again Husna QA! :)

I have edited it again.

As you said, the /size code was integrated with the one in front of "Before" so that shouldn't be the cause of the problem. But it is also a mystery why the word "Advertencia" caused it. In any case, I think that after the last change you mentioned the translation is displayed correctly.

The word "Advertencia" is not one of the filtered words. It could be a glitch, so it cannot be displayed as in the case above.

Sorry, I quoted all your translation results to see how the final appearance will look when posted* and whether there is still a cut-off display. So that I can immediately see where the error is; as in the next finding, there is a glitch when using the word "Advertencia".

* Sometimes, when previewed, the display is correct. Still, the results are different when posted, as with several image displays in the meritislife thread (fillippone), which I also tried to get around with some of the BBCode (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.62546881).

Thank you Husna!! So the problem was that I mistakenly deleted the size code while translating!! I still don't get why I kept seeing it complete, if that part of the code was missing, but nevermind as long as it is now fixed :)

My sincere thanks again, for finding a needle in a haystack :)

There is no code that you deleted. If you look at mdayonliner's original post ([Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint) or rewritten by Learn Bitcoin (Re: [Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint), both not use the additional code in front of as the text that I edited above.

Before we start, it's gonna help you if I give you a brief. PGP consist of two Keys...
1. Private key <=== You need it to decrypt a content
1. a) You also need a passphrase, in other words a strong password.
2. Public key <=== You need it to encrypt a content

Think about a very sensitive message you want to email to your friend. You don't want any gov agency or any spy read the message. These people can easily access your email server. To avoid it, ask you friend to give his PGP public key. Once you have it then encrypt the message and email the encrypted message to your friend. Now only your friend can decrypt it because he knows the private key.

Warning: Do not share your private key and passphrase with anyone.

/size code still integrated with the size code at the top and still be displayed perfectly.
I don't know why their post can be displayed while your post is not. My assumption is because of the difference in the type of letter characters.

The translation post made by Porfirii is only partially displayed, apparently because there is an incomplete BBCode.
I added a little code to this part:

Code:
[size=13pt][color=red]Advertencia: No compartas tu clave privada ni tu contraseña con nadie. [/color][/size]

I have made a little change in the text and saved the post again. I hope it can be seen correctly now, but please let me know if that's not the case and I will add ninjastic's link to our list in the meantime, while we fix it.

Hey Porf, I see no change from my side... the topic still appears truncated...
Maybe try to delete the entire topic content, save it, then edit it again and write again all the content...?

Or try to think if you did anything different when writing this topic, compared with writing any other topic / translation...? Maybe there is a difference and you realize it... thus you can revert it...? I am not sure if any of these would help, but I am trying to give a hand of help...

Thank you Gazeta, I have deleted the content, saved it, and pasted it again. Maybe now? I have also copied the content in Archival here. If the problem doesn't replicate in the new thread in Archival, maybe the easiest solution will be deleting the old post and creating a new one with the same content. No comments where made yet, so there won't be much to regret.

About the differences in the way I translated the topic, I did it the same way I always do it but if none of the other solutions works I'll study the (extensive) text in depth.

The translation post made by Porfirii is only partially displayed, apparently because there is an incomplete BBCode.
I added a little code to this part:

Code:
[size=13pt][color=red]Advertencia: No compartas tu clave privada ni tu contraseña con nadie. [/color][/size]

-Edit-

I replace it with this one:

Code:
[size=13pt][color=red]Ad[u][/u]vertencia: No compartas tu clave privada ni tu contraseña con nadie.[/color][/size]

I have coded the full text that I have corrected. Here are the results.

Ejercicios - Deberes para casa
Ir Arriba

Bienvenido a la sección de ejercicios. Antes de empezar, esto es lo que tienes que hacer:
1. Crea un nuevo par de claves con la siguiente información

Code:
Nombre: ex-<tu nombre de usuario de BitcoinTalk>
          Email: < [email protected]>
i.e:
Code:
         Nombre: ex-mdayonliner
          Email: <[email protected]>
No queremos usar nuestro nombre y dirección de email reales para estos ejercicios. La parte de nombre de usuario con el prefijo ex- me ayudará a mí y a otros a identificar que nos estamos comunicando contigo.

2. Mantén tu Fingerprint publicada en el servidor online/i]. Esto me ayudará a mí y a otros miembros a acceder a tu clave pública para la comunicación cifrada.

Tenemos dos tareas para practicar. Ya pensaré en algún premio más tarde para los participantes que las terminen con éxito.

Assignment 1: Mensaje firmado y firma PGP - Pronto.

Hello AOBT,

I completed the translation into Portuguese of: [ENG Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint

Portuguese translation: [Tutorial] Assinatura PGP - Criptografar/Descriptografar mensagem - ID

* I will complete the translation of the tutorial for Linux soon  Wink

Thank you r_victory Smiley your translation has now been added to the list.

I see exactly the same thing as in your screenshot.

Thank you for clarifying this, paid2... (At same time, if other users can confirm this too, it would be even better.)

Before that a solution is found, maybe @Porf could redirect the link to https://ninjastic.space/post/64000153 (I mean in the AOBT summary)

This would be a good suggestion... At same time, he can try also the solution suggested by DrBeer... let's see if it works...

--snip-- but you did not say what you see when opening Porf's topic -- do you see the entire translation...? Or do you see only what I showed in the image attached in my previous post...? I wish to understand if the issue happens only on my side or if others see that translation truncated as well...

At same time, maybe Porf may try also your suggestion and see if the bug disappears...?

Something similar, I've seen in my translations. But I'll tell you right away - the “error” did not occur regularly, and often “corrected” itself after saving the whole text again.

Thank you for this update, r_victory! You did an impressive job lately, translating the longest topic we ever had in progress (Husna's topic), together with the second longest topic ever (fillippon'es topic) and now you came also with this third translation, in a very short time...

* I will complete the translation of the tutorial for Linux soon  Wink

Okay, Smiley

At same time, I will insist on this, as nobody replied so far... Can anyone look into the bug I am seeing regarding this translation made by Porf...? I am only seeing what I showed in the image attached in the link, while Porf sees all the topic translated and showed correctly... Can anyone check this, please? If it is a bug, so if others will confirm they also see what I am seeing -- or even the opposite, perhaps we should start a topic in Meta and ask what's happening...

Something similar, I've seen in my translations. But I'll tell you right away - the “error” did not occur regularly, and often “corrected” itself after saving the whole text again. Important note - such nuances occur only if the text encoding is different from the classical English one. I assume that it is somehow related to character encoding, or rather their processing by the editor.

Dear AoBTers and users of the forum in general,

Don't leave your 🍕 for the Bitcoin Pizza Day Contest of this year for the last moment. There are only a few days left to participate!! and they go by very quickly due to daily obligations...

I just did it and you can see my entry here Smiley

Good luck to everyone and may the best win!

Edit:

The deadline to participate has ended. We will know more about the voting phase soon.

Friends, thank you all for your participation. I will need several days to prepare the thread for voting and organize everything in such a way that various factors do not affect the objectivity. Also, please don't be offended if someone's baked goods are not included in the voting. This will just mean that your baked goods are more consistent with the criteria of a vegetable pie than a pizza.

Finished translating a very interesting and informative article: 12 years later and people still don't know to use Bitcoin nor what it's good for by GazetaBitcoin.

Thank you for this effort DrBeer! But... maybe I am seeing wrong, but only half of the essay is translated...?

After this paragraph there is the other half of the essay, which I do not see in your translation:

The translation is "not in the translation queue" in this thread, just interesting stuff. Its Ukrainian translation will be ready one of these days

The translation is not listed here... same as it will not happen with any other of my topics, since most of them are translated already in 8-10 languages... Smiley So there is no need to mention it here...

Dear AoBTers, since we edited the OP a few days ago, don't forget to update your local ANNs too when you have time.

My update is already done Smiley

-snip-

EDIT: I got a solution!!! I'll have to make the topic as Part 1,2 like Husna's monster topic.

Hey DYING_S0UL, that's what I was thinking too: if it doesn't fit in just one post because of the max character limit, you can edit it slightly and cut it in two.

Dear AoBTers, since we edited the OP a few days ago, don't forget to update your local ANNs too when you have time. I will send to those who don't do it a private message in the next few days to remind them.
