You should have went with just Brazil to win or to parlay it with something. This was a little riskier approach but at least you got the moneyback. I think Mexico can even surprise Brazil in the semis but for me Spain will probobly win against Japan
brazil to win odds were too low imo, but you're probably right, a parlay would've been better but i didn't see a game with good value earlier today (i should've taken a few more minutes and do some research, though  Roll Eyes )
I really think that the explanation of why the odds for Brazil to win against Mexico are not as high as what people would believe is because if you watch their previous history at all levels you will see that Brazil has had incredible problems against Mexico, in fact I will not be surprised that Mexico was the most problematic opponent that Brazil had to face during the last decade, it is just a matter of styles and it seems that Brazil has problems with the Mexican style of football and it seems that bettors are taking this into account when making their bets.

So the Philippines will already have a 2 medal haul in this Olympics, another accomplished for the country. The last time the country won multi medal is 89 years ago.

1 Gold 1 Bronze for the PH, very proud of this "girls".

Another quick update for the Philippines, Nesthy Petecio won her match against Testa of Italy with a score of 4-1.

She is now assured of a Silver medal already. But for sure he is gunning for the second gold medal for the Philippines. However, she will be facing a home town fighter Sena Irie. Will be a tough task for her and hopefully the judges will not be bias.
About Nesthy Petecio winning a second Gold for the country, I can't help but laugh at the memes circulating lately. The private sponsors who gave Hidilyn cash/non-cash gifts are sweating because they have to do the same for Neshy.

Lol, I do hope that they don't jinx Petecio, she will be gunning for our second golds in this Olympics. Let's pray that she can win because she will be facing a local fighter.

On a serious note, this is probably the golden age for Philippine Olympics that will be hard to replicate in the future. I hope the next administrations can maintain or improve training facilities all around the country and provide additional funding to our athletes.

We are already assured of a 3 medal haul. Another boxer has another bronze already and be going up for another potential semi-final in his next fight. Eumir Marcial knock out his opponent in first round with still 49 seconds left.

And if another of our boxer won his next fight, another sure bronze for us courtesy of Carlo Paalam.

It amazes me that European nations are way behind the PRC and the USA in the rankings or medals tally. This shows which country focuses more on their overall sports development. If only the Olympic committee could put more weight on football hehe.

...Malaysia has been strong enough and gets that first medal.
Isn't it that Malaysia and China are the two strongest rivals for Indonesia when it comes to Badminton?

I just got done watching the Men's 100 meter race and I have to say I was shocked that it went on without much "hoopla" surrounding the event.  Does anyone else inside the United States feel like NBC has done a poor job of this Olympics ?  It just feels like this race, which is always one of the greatest events of the summer Olympics went way under the radar.  Normally this race is something that has a lot of commercials and talk surrounding or leading up to the event, but this year I honestly had no idea who was racing and when the race was taking stage.  Sure that is partially my fault but normally I don't have to do much research around the event since it's normally such a big deal and talked about beforehand.  Anyhow, glad to see a fellow Italian win the race!  Is the 200 meter still coming up?

My country's poor performance is very sad, my country's athletes only went to these Olympic games to embarrass us, they couldn't even be in the top 10 places, it was very humiliating and shameful, I blame my country's government for these bad results because if the government of my country liked sport more and if it made an effort for the sport to develop well in my country, then we would have achieved much better results than these
I can feel what your saying and if being in the top 10 is yoir concern in my country we people are concerned wether we win a medal or not and this year performance is the worst ever no medal won and it does not seem that we will win one and as you said goverment is to blame mainly they do not provide the support needed for athletes they only care about football and they set aside other sports and its a shame.

Women's Triple Jump, just witnessed a new world record held by Yulimar Rojar from Venezuela with a 15.67 meter jump.

In the mens high jump we have a shared gold medal by Mutaz Essa Barshim og Qatar and Gianmarco Tamberi of Italy both refused to fight it out, history made here.

Now the 100 meter men's final is up, are we going to witness sporting greatness in all its glory. My money is on the south African to win this one...

False start for Zharnel Huges of Great Britain 🇬🇧 Disqualified

That's right, the Venezuelan making history, she is very effusive, she asked the public for applause to motivate herself, in fact, she shows that it is very easy, on the third attempt was when she imposed the WR:

Quote
It was no surprise that Venezuela's Yulimar Rojas won the gold in the women's triple jump final and set a new world record of 15.67 in the bargain. She was followed to the podium by Patricia Mamona of Portugal and Spain's Ana Peleteiro.

The athlete had always fought to be on an Olympic podium, in Rio she won the Gold medal, this Olympiad is historic for her as it is for the Country.

Great 100m. final where all participants who finished went out of 10 seconds. Not many expected that Italian Marcell Jacob s can win, but he did it.
A. de Grassi finnished 3rd, same like in Rio 2016.

Very surprising results from the 100m race. No one thought that  Marcell Jacobs would win the gold medal. He was born in the city of El Paso (United States) and could represent Italy because his mother is an Italian citizen (father is US citizen). Had he opted to represent the United States, then in all probability he wouldn't have got a slot in the Olympic squad. This sums up the disappointing performance by the United States in track and field items so far. China is now the leader with 24 golds and they have increased their gap with US and Japan.

After a week of Olympic games, we have China with the most medals won.
Will the USA not be the ones that will gather more gold medals this year? If that happens, it will be something that will surprise you.
The athletics competitions have already started, and the USA players are not having the expected performance.

We have not quite the entire history, though. The 10th day of the Olympics is half-way over and there are still lots of games left. We have so many great athletes waiting to be honored with different medals using various methods. I'm looking forward to a very exciting conclusion. For me, China is at the top.

New World Record in women Triple Jump by Yulimar Rojas from Venezuela - 15.67m. By 17cm from previous record. Amazing.
Not the most exciting tennis final where Zverev won easy. Mixed doubles was much more interesting - Karatsev with Pavluchenkova won it after tie break.

Quick question, how does a country qualify to play the Olympics? I really want to see my country play but they aren't even participating so I don't exactly get what is the requirements to do be part of the Olympics, also who will be carrying the torch this time?

Each country has to choose the best of the best athletes to represent their country. They usually undergo a long series of training to assure that they could compete and win in every sport that they would represent. This year, underdog countries are gaining and winning medals which weren't expected. Countries that haven't won before are now determined to bring home rewards and medals.

In the wrestling matches that started today, Rıza Kayaalp and Lopez Nunez, who met in the semi-finals of the 130 Kg matches and were both shown as the biggest favorites for the gold medal, won Lopez Nunez. Lopez Nunez and Kajaia will wrestle in the final tomorrow. It will be an exciting match.

I'm from Indonesia have strong badminton teams, today we going to see the semifinal  Anthony Sinisuka vs Chen Long, I hope he takes control to the next final following Indonesian women's doubles. I'm quite sad to see the men's doubles fail to get a bronze medal yesterday, Malaysia has been strong enough and gets that first medal.
Can we say this is a setback for Indonesia badminton in men's sector?, there is no gold medal only the possibility of bronze if Ginting can win against Cordon, and I have a little doubt about that. In the Women's Doubles, Indonesia's hope of winning gold, if it fails so no gold for this Olimpic very unfortunate.

The most exciting event in Olympics 2021 is over. Men's 100m finals is now decided, with Marcell Jacobs of Italy surprisingly winning the gold medal. Another disappointment for the United States in athletics, as Fred Kerley came second at 9.84. Overall, Jacobs improved the margin by 0.01 seconds (back in 2016, Usain Bolt won the gold at 9.81 seconds and Justin Gatlin came second with 9.89). I don't know what happened to Yohan Blake. He couldn't even qualify for the finals (10.14 seconds in semi-finals).

Khachanov was close to repeating the achievement of the legendary Russian tennis player Eigeny Kafelnikov, but in the end he received only silver. Considering that before the start of the tournament, hardly anyone expected him to reach the final, this is an excellent result. It will be interesting to read Kachanov's interview after the match - judging by the score, he had some kind of health or psychological problems.

Russians would have been happy if Kachanov could win the gold. For the time being, he will settle with the silver. Russia won the gold in Mixed doubles a few minutes back (both gold and silver went to Russia). Czech Republic won the Women's doubles gold today (Barbora Krejčíková / Kateřina Siniaková), while another Czech player (Markéta Vondroušová) settled for the silver medal in Women's singles (gold went to Belinda Bencic of Switzerland). And that means the tennis competitions are over for this edition of the Olympics.

I hope Anthony Sinisuka Ginting wins but not with the result. Ginting lost in straight sets with a score of 16-21 and 11-21. Disappointed, even though I hope he can match Taufik Hidayat's record in Greece in 2004. This is a row of losing badminton athletes from indonesia. Furthermore, Indonesia relies on Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu for the Gold Medal. I hope they can win.

Thompson-Hera ran the 2nd fastest 100 meters in history (10.61 seconds), second only to FloJo record breaking 10.62 set in 1988. Only one US women in the finals and she finished 7th. Used to be dominated by American female sprinters but Jamaica has been taking control of this event for the last 3 to 4 Olympics if I'm not mistaken.

Wow, those Jamaican ladies can run really fast! Cheesy

Congrats to @FastElaine and Team Jamaica! A well deserved victory.

I have watched that race several times and without taking anything away from that record breaking run from Thompson-Hera, I feel Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce didn't bring her A game...why because during the build up to this race she was posting 10.64 on average but this time she was 0.10 slower posting 10.74.
And if you watch that race a few more times, the last  10 meters looked like she was deliberately slowing down. Anyway race is over congrats to the Jamaican trio.
