I missed the bitcoin train, and yesterday tried to mine the whole day didn't get one block lol whatta scam! Also transactions are shit slow whatta shitcoin I suggest we take it down ima get my radeon 280x ddos powers right on it.

Personally the 2 types I think should first go from this forum; IPOs and self declared currencies of a particular region.

supposing you're right about these points.  these 4 points still don't fit the criteria of 'shitcoin'.

1. bitcoin is older than 8 months.
2. bitcoin was the innovator. 
3. bitcoin was not an IPO.
4. bitcoin was not premined greater than 1%
5. bitcoin developers actually know what the fuck they're doing, and how it works.
6. bitcoin clearly has backers with intention to develop bitcoin further. 

This thread discusses coins that fall into those categories, not just coins you personally don't have a large stake in.

Many people are going to have different definitions of what a scamcoin is; mine is simply any coins where it is painfully obvious that the main purpose of creation was to make the dev fiat.

I'm not so much worried about the number of coins. I'm worried about the Exchanges that either encourage or ignore MASSIVE coin price manipulation. How are we supposed to have accurate Price Discovery while that's going on? How is that any different than the Federal Reserve, International Banks and the Stock Market? Listen, in 1920's - 1930's America there were about 100 different car companies. Some lasted a long time, others not even a year. But eventually it got whittled down to the Big Three. The same thing will happen with Alt Coins. I don't know what those will be, neither do you.
