Here's a fun one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j224EvTK1YA

What, you haven't heard of the BitLox? Well that's because we like to keep things secret until the last minute  Grin

It's got a metal case, BLE, USB, 2" e-paper display, integrated input pad and a lot more.

More videos on the way...

In case you are interested in getting one pre-launch, check out my post in services:

rootdude at GetHashing is having a problem with his KeepKey:

Quote
If you are thinking about investing in a KeepKey - hold off. I plugged mine in the morning to review the overnight mining returns and left the device connected to my computer. Thirteen hours later, I returned to find the screen dark. No problem, right? Unplug it and replug it? Nope. When I picked up the device to unplug it, it was hot to the touch. I unplugged it and re-plugged it. No display. The chrome wallet flashed my balance for a moment or two (the keys are likely intact, I suspect) - but then it flashed the 'No Device Connected' message. I let the device cool down to room temps before trying again - same thing, no dice. Different computer with a fresh install of the wallet and proxy? Same thing. I've opened a ticket, and DM'd the owner/developer and am waiting for a response. Googling the problem yields nothing (the device is brand new and somewhat expensive so I'm sure there aren't that many in the wild).

Agree, will be keeping an eye on this one as I'm really interested in getting one when they are released. Cannot help but think this is what Case should have been. Like the Case wallet as well but do not like the fact that one key is held by them etc...

You can always keep smaller amounts (say BTC0.2) of BTC online.  But, keep larger amounts safer.......
The beauty of these new hardware wallets is that they are so easy to use that there is no need for online wallets anymore.
And this while being almost as safe as an offline wallet.

A hardware wallet is an offline wallet, your private keys are protected from theft in the Trezor or Ledger. You can use Armory and Electrum for cold storage using two computers, one always kept offline, but those solutions are no more secure. They are more private though.

You only need a Bitcoin hardware wallet, if you have to store massive amounts of Bitcoins. If not its just a waste of money.

I would agree with above comments re a hardware wallet being a good investment.  If you have more than BTC1.00, then I would NOT keep them at blockchain.info (too many problems) or other online wallets (hackable).

Why take chances?  Buy one, learn to use it (the two I own were easy to learn) and know that any BTC you acquire in the future will be pretty secure.

Follow their instructions!

If you have bitcoins worth more than EUR 15 than it is already worth it.

Don't quite agree. Whether you make use of a hardware wallet is not dependant on whether you have a large number of coins or not. There are several other factors that come into play like for example your risk tolerance, ease of use and convenience etc...

You might see it as a waste of money but for many its well worth spending the money for the convenience that such a device gives together with the added security. Even if using it only to hold a couple of coins or even less than that.

maybe now, but I'd disagree with that in the future - in my opinion something very cheap, that let you buy something with Bitcoin or exchange Bitcoins (or open your door with a cryptographic challenge or ...) as fast as you can do it with a contactless credit card even when you don't have local connectivity would help making it more popular.

Leaving price out of the equation

The price is key though - if you want the ecosystem to grow, there should be no brainer options to store and use your bitcoins securely in my opinion. We aim to deliver a few products on that range of the spectrum, while not denying that said spectrum is large enough to provide room for a lot of other options.

Also keep in mind that "ultimate security" doesn't mean much if you don't list the threats you're interested to protect against.

I've always been telling early adapters to get one TREZOR and two HW.1 to experiment with those concepts - now if you own several hundred bitcoins, I'll probably also suggest you get a KeepKey, because it's shiny  Grin

Yes, having some products at different price points is probably a good idea.  I have a Trezor as well as a Ledger Nano.  Both work fine, I have used each device several times.  As you write, as experiments...

Innovation in the "space" (hardware wallets) is likely to be fast.  There will likely be many options soon, but then there will be a shake-out.
