Bitcoin becomes popular increasingly just because that it is a kind of virtual currency, and it is convenient for us to use it in the internet. But now, we store it by a conventional way again. It is so interesting isn't it?

Nice list of BTC hardware wallets.

I'd suggest that you add some features and pros & cons about using each one of them in a few words.

Good compilation though.

I am just going to make a guess here that most people just want a simple, robust, nice-looking and easy-to-use wallet.  I don't think that most of us want or need extra features.  Extra features = extra costs + extra vulnerabilities.

A wallet that is pretty much un-hackable and will hold up to being carried around.

KeepKey Hardware Wallet Review

If you already own a TREZOR, there’s little upgrade for you here. However, if you are in the market for your first hardware wallet (something I strongly recommend), the KeepKey is well worth consideration. Having used both, I wanted to share my experience.

Thanks for the review! KeepKey certainly looks nice, but until they support Mycelium on Android I will stay with Trezor at less than half the price. With KeepKey at $239 and the Case wallet at $200 Trezor is looking like a bargain at $99. If you have a newer Android phone that supports USB host protocol (OTG) all you need is Mycelium Wallet and an OTG cable to connect your Trezor and you have more functionality and security than Case.

I currently have a Keepkey and have done a review at https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/deleted-1161827 any questions or issues and I will gladly answer them.

Since you have hands on experience would you pay $239 for a KeepKey?
Yes and no, if I had a large amount of bitcoin or cash then yes, if I was doing everything I could to gather as much BTC to hoard for investment reasons then possibly a Trezor and put the extra 140$ into btc. The keepkey is a really nice safe piece and seems a lot higher quality like it will last longer.

The price of 239 USD is extremely expensive even though worldwide shipping is included in the cost.
You can get ledger hardware for 10% of KeepKey price, or trezor for 99$.
I think that the trezor does it job, also the ledger is secured good enough if you can afford the price.

Indeed. I do not think the plastic case of Trezor is a negative. It is light, compact and easy to carry and use with a phone. Really the appearance of the hardware wallet is not of consequence as long as it works as intended, the 24 word seed is what is most important to guard. Trezor has a track record of over a year now and was developed by the same people behind the first bitcoin mining pool. KeepKey is trying to make a buck using a fork of Trezor's code. Imitation is flattery yes? Ledger is a bargain but has limitations. It must be initialized on a computer you know is free of malware. It lacks Trezor's advanced security feature of creating hidden wallets.

Thanks as always, LiteCoinGuy, for maintaining this valuable thread.

I also see the KeepKey as being too expensive.  I was not put off by the Trezor at $100 (or maybe a little more when I bought it), but the KeepKey seems to be too much.

I am happy with my Ledger Nano!  It has worked just fine the 20 or so times I have used it.  And the price is right...  Smiley

Thank you for putting up that link to DigitalBitbox, I found it interesting.

I now wait for the product to come out, as well as reviews.

If the price is reasonable (low), and if it works like we hope, I will buy one.
