KeepKey – A Hardware Bitcoin Wallet With OLED Screen and Trezor Compatibility

Hardware Bitcoin wallets are the next evolutionary step on the way of keeping BTC in safe and secure location. Considering most hardware wallets are pocket-sized, they have become increasingly convenient to carry around, and require no internet connection to use properly. One of the world’s leading hardware Bitcoin wallet manufacturers, Trezor, has gained the lion’s share of the market. But there is a new Trezor spinoff that will attempt to take that crown.

2. CryptoLabs "Case" [/u]

Price: ~ 200 USD
Release: in development
Located in: USA

Website: http://choosecase.com/

Case looks promising, but $200 to pre-order something that doesn't exist yet is WAY too much. Why make the potential customer base take on all the risk here? What assurances exist to guarantee pre-orders will be filled? More importantly, why is Case worth such a high premium?

A similar gadget, called Coin, was in a similar "pre-order now" situation (albeit it had nothing to do with Bitcoin) and that company has just disappeared...with all the early adopter cash in hand.

New email from coolwallet.

New Campaign Update!
Hello kkurtmann,
The ‘CoolWallet - most convenient Bitcoin cold wallet’ team just posted:

1 new Announcement:

Dear backers,
We now estimate to deliver in the middle of August. There were tiny things that took longer than we expected.

Here is the progress update:

Our CoolWallet card has been optimized; with watchdog mode on, the battery can last for more than 90 hours.

CoolWalet app is being reviewed by Apple.

We are constantly testing CoolWallet to ensure the best stability.

We will dispatch the goods once our app is up on the shelf and test result is satisfying.
Thank you for your patience.

@LiteCoinGuy: Please remove BWallet. It is not at all a secure wallet.

This might have changed now, as they've updated along with new TREZOR firmware versions - https://github.com/bwallet/bwallet-mcu

People interested to know more could keep an up to date diff between all cloned firmwares (so far that's TREZOR, BWallet, EWallet (not sure they published anything though) and BitExchange)

If BWallet had no problem adding tracking supercookie when it released, I don't think it will be hard for them to do again. It's better not to buy wallets from shady/untrustworthy developers and listing it here may put someone else in danger.

...

As a non-expert, I like BOTH the Trezor and the Ledger Nano.  I have one of each.  Both work well.

But, I look forward to each of their new products, especially if they can keep them from being overly-complex to the casual user (using then once a month say).

New products are always welcome, as is LiteCoinGuy's thread (and everyone's experiences).  Communicating user experiences is a wonderful thing for such obscure products (and they are obscure..., for everyone not using Bitcoin).

FABULOUS thread, LCG!

@LiteCoinGuy: Please remove BWallet. It is not at all a secure wallet.[1] Also, please add put an "Open Source" tag to open source wallets. It is helpful. Thank you!

It is really a secured wallet?

Which one?

The HW1 Wallet I'm referring to
But also B-Wallet lock OK
Waiting pm.

HW1 is secure but BWallet is not[1].

FYI: OP is not selling these wallets. It is just a list of hardware wallets.

@Bitcoin Explorer

should be this one
I'm aware of that illustration. I just feel his will be quite good. I hope it's price is just like the ledger, or any a bit more, which will lead to large scale adoption

Trezor is still a good choice i would say because it has a display. that is a nice feature but Ledger will have something like that too in the future.

maybe you should split your funds into a trezor and a second device.
Yes,  I'm eager to know more about ledger's new wallet, it might  well be what we've wanted.
