so block 307501 was found on nanopool by this miner etnkK41HsyNUvtnBX7hsrn3z9VZquSfUGb5Y1uTxQav8GQn9KNjpucgYa5C9wSb5TndUXBfZwajbmPL TjdEr1WG6Ag1KbzcNi1.c0d1994767cfc7386b5889ac9af117c7d3db0deeb9991487d354b19bbda 1f2ad

it took 27 hours to find 307501, ETN block bounty cuts off at 5 hours, so is this miner out of luck for any bonus? how will that work because I'm not sure any of the next 25 blocks will be found in less than a 5 hour window,  especially if difficulty retargets based on average hashrate of the past 360 blocks.

The mined block wasn't a regular block. See that in block explorer (https://blockexplorer.electroneum.com/) the block 307501 was mined 6 hours ago, and it has only one transaction on it. Yesterday we had over 4,000 transactions in the queue to be processed in the blockchain.

I checked couple hours ago, the mempool had about 5,000 transactions pending, and now it has only 404 (https://blockexplorer.electroneum.com/txpool). Since we hadn't any block in this period, I suppose the 5,000 transactions pending where canceled.

So the old chain will continue, sorta like ETN Classic? lol only to be ruled by ASICS

Am I wrong here? so the new chain ETN will still be called ETN what will they call the old chain then  Huh and how are exchanges separating the 2 coins now ETNC and ETN maybe lol

probably, just like when monero forked and that resulted in monero original, 2 monero classics, and i forget the other ones name.

I'd be surprised if bitmain didn't try to keep the old chain going.

ETN team needs to get all gpu pools to update to new chain, like yesterday......
Yes, and someone mentioned Suprnova ETN was gone and it is. OCMINER must have taken down the old chain pool and hopefully working on a new chain pool ETN... I'm sure he will come in here and announce if so.

Guys,

Why the network hashrate say so high, its a bug or other mistake?

difficulty has to adjust down, it will take some days. There are also a number of pools still on the old chain........

Bom dia gente ,sei que está acontecendo melhorias na moeda ,mas na minha humilde opinião ,uma taxa de 2 etn o uma transferência aí tá de sacanagem é horrível pra moeda pow a gente paga taxa em tudo então fica complicado .

HODL! If it isn't a grudge...
There is still 4 blocks which are not confirmed since yesterday at 9:17 at nanopool. The oldest has been confirmed 19 times:
https://blockexplorer.electroneum.com/tx/2d85f66a39ecf99cfdbfcda477a632f2020bec0e3232d6848a447ef462de562d
https://etn.nanopool.org/blocks
How many confirmations do they need?
The latest block has no transactions, but only rewards (or we can only see them after a number of confirmations?):
https://blockexplorer.electroneum.com/block/307501

They need 20 confirms I think

Nano pool finally found 1 block boys...  Grin Shocked

Yea and look at the reward! It's the double of what the reward was on the previous blocks. The transaction fees have been increased after the fork and surely this last block was full of transactions!

From FB:

Mining Pool Owners & GPU Miners - We need YOUR help!
Earn extra ETN reward over the next 26 blocks!
The Electroneum blockchain forked at block 307500 today. As you are aware, the time it takes to mine blocks should be approximately every 2 minutes. Due to the extremely high difficulty caused by previously having ASICs on the network, blocks are taking substantially longer than usual (hours rather than minutes) while the network adjusts.
Firstly, we want to thank the community, our miners and the mining pools in continuing to support the network while we get through these difficult blocks.
However, we are not happy with the low returns our miners are receiving right now, so as a gesture to thank everyone who continues to support us, we will be supplementing the next 26 block rewards by with an ETN bonus (see below). This offer will run for blocks 307501 - 307527.
Mined under an hour 200,000 ETN bonus
1 - 2 hours 150,000 ETN bonus
2 - 3 hours 100,000 ETN bonus
3 - 4 hours 50,000 ETN bonus
So how will this work? After each block is mined, the pool which successfully receives the block reward should contact the team by opening a support ticket (support.electroneum.com) with subject "BLOCK REWARD". They MUST include the public key (ETN wallet address) and view key of the address which successfully mined the block so that we can verify they are indeed the owners. We will check the block time of each mined block and send out the appropriate amount to the public key provided.
Can you please contact your users to let them know it's well worth their while getting back online, and let your users know how to change the algorithm on their software to mine with MoneroV7 or Cryptonight_V7
Again, we wish to thank everyone for continuing to support the ETN network
Have a great day!
Richard.
PS We've had over 40MH/s running on Nanopool for the last couple of hours so we must be extremely close to mining block 307501.
PPS - Please be patient with ETN transactions at this time - once we get past these difficult blocks our blockchain will be considerably more efficient.

So am I reading this right that they are rewarding the individual block finder?

Yes you're reading it right, it's then up to the block finder (which is probably a pool) to distribute the reward. It'd be funny though if a solo miner would find a block, it'd be like hitting the jackpot! Cheesy

despite being on a pool isnt the block still found by an individual miner? I know some pools will show you the number of blocks you have specifically found.

Lol, good signals for near future that Electronerum network will be out of current congestions, but I think that it will need days to finish all current stucked transactions in the network.
