In Raiblocks, when there is a fork,  balance-weighted vote is used to determine the outcome through use of representatives.

How would balance-weighted vote work in Stone? cos certain amount of balances will be shielded if zsnarks are used

Requoting as I would definitely donate if you can answer this question.
From my findings with drafts between the balanced-weighted vote & sk-SNARKs, unfortunately the implementation will not transact in-line in the manner i originally set out to achieve, therefor i have played with the idea of off-chain addresses, t-addresses (Stone) for standard transactions & z-addresses (zStone), with an exact exchange between paired wallets for a private untraceable transaction. My idea further extends to to have Stodes (Nodes), which act as a direct atomic swap 1:1 with Stone & zStone, anyone would be able to see the the swap 1:1 between the two, but no one would be able to see where you have received the zStone as it was transacted off-chain.

                           OFF-CHAIN
        Bob                    ->           Alice
(zStone) Transactions    ->    (zStone)  Received

                              SWAP
         Alice                    ->            Ted (Node)      ->          Alice
(zStone) Swap 1:1        ->            Receive/Send       ->    (Stone) Received

Alice receives a private transaction from Bob via zStone, Alice now has 100 zStone, Alice now wants standard Stone, she swaps the 100 zStone for Stone 1:1 via a Stone node. The end result is Alice successfully has completed a private transaction with Bob, and swapped back into the base currency, all within the wallet, this method allows the DAG protocol to still function with its representative method.

Apologies in advance for the rough draft schematics, this is not anywhere near complete and is subject to change.

zStone would not be a separate currency and not tradable on an exchange, its simply the channel to achieve completely private transactions, with a swap 1:1 with Stone, they would not be worth anymore or any less.

Too complicated

A simpler privacy solution would certainly be welcome.

To Felixando, how fast will this current off-chain & swap option take for end users?

Me parece interesante el proyecto, le daría una donación al desarrollador pero esperare al momento que saque termine el código. te deseo la mejor de las suertes Felixando...
Google Translate: I find the project interesting, I would give a donation to the developer but wait for the moment I finish the code. I wish you the best of luck Felixiando...

Hi felixando,

I think you have an impressive project on your hands.

Please enable the Faucet as the original Raiblocks had if you are creating a new project.
If it is a fork than everyone will have the same amount of coins, right?

I agree, faucet based on raiblocks would make sense for a wide distribution, I think raiblocks had a great distribution system. OP could copy the development fund raiblocks has and use it as a STONE development fund. Community support for rai is very strong right now.

Cheers,
Tal

Hi felexando,

Thank you for the reply. With your idea with zStone, would you be able to keep instant transaction. I feel it would be very easy to reconstruct who sends STONE funds to who, because most transactions within a short time frame (10 seconds) will be unique. Or am i missing something.

Cheers,
Tal

Colin said implementation of privacy will be complicated for dPoS coins; I realise OP didnt post code yet, but is his idea to implement it solid and feasible? Keeping an eye open for this project.

Cheers,
Tal
Thats very true, Colin knows best! please see this post for a more in-depth draft on how this will be achieved: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.27320586

Very much interested in private Raiblocks. Maybe could even donate small amount if and when see a working prototype and code.
Maybe do distribution with timed weekly airdrops with lessening amounts to all willing community members as the weeks go by? Would avoid the rich getting richer syndrome which plagues so many coins. Faucet also OK.

Hi all, feel free to ask any questions via PM, i should be available to reply a couple of times per day.

Taking some time to focus on the project at hand, rather than spending too much time on the forums.

By request i have added a Cardano (ADA) wallet address for donations: DdzFFzCqrhsjZUErFNMenUo52ahMKvHnqjzfXWzrbZhjxqAozaNbgcXrBqmHmAGATnKAUupSKAmnEgh 8kQuYP4Gst78yBGr4hrg4xWGs

I believe DAG date is further.when I USE the byteball translation,so fast. why IOTA so slower,,it's the same technology。how you solved the
Coordinator in dag net?

They're all very different. DAG means it's transaction-chain instead of blockchain, but there are different ways to do it. In RaiBlocks every account has its own chain and there is proof-of-stake which means it works securely decentralized and doesn't need coordinator or witnesses like IOTA and ByteBall.

It's the same seeing you have to trust representatives.

So the deletion of posts by the OP has started to happen?  Roll Eyes

Hi CyraxMax, that's incorrect, i will however delete troll posts with extremely large red text which takes up 80% of the forum page, i think any creator would do the same.

and the trolls arrive! ready to attempt to ruin another project! get out of here  Cheesy there's the scam-callers in every thread, my favourite current one is the scam-callers in the Raiblocks thread; Raiblocks is the most unscammiest coin out, yet we still have the trolls.

My suggestion: set the trolls to ignore in there profile.

So far he has collected ~$100K from donations and he did not present any piece of code here.
He is just selling dreams at this moment from greed and apparently he is good at it.

If this is not a redflag for you IDK what to tell.

fucking hell.....

Raiblocks developer coded for years without any donations.

If he was genuine, this scamming faggot would do the same.

Dave is very good at preying on the greed of other people.

He's been doing it for years.

100K in donations.

Jesus fucking christ.

Are you trying to spread FUD?? Fkin typical trolls, he just wants to perfect his code before he releases it! /s

He's such a scammy POS, I'm befuddled how anyone could actually conceive donating.
